Enjoyed some good pints of Bradfield Farmers beer. Very friendly bar staff and so efficient! Very dog friendly. Great pub. Will return when staying in the area.

Great place to eat and drink family friendly too

We've been staying in Silkstone for the weekend. My husband and I are geocachers. While in the village we were solving a puzzle, an Adventure Lab cache. The puzzle was all about the Huskar, (apologies if wrong spelling) pit disaster where 26 children died. While out and about picking up answers to the puzzle we were getting very hot and in need of liquid refreshment. As it happens, there's a plaque on the outside of this pub telling all about the disaster so it made perfect sense to come inside. When we opened the door we were greeted by a gentle murmur of voices. With no music playing in the background, this was a welcome relief. It's a nice pub in a beautiful area steeped in history.

Clean,tidy,warm and welcoming. Great little pub, well kept drinks, great selection too. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed

Went out of their way to help us when we were camping nearby on a cycle trip and the weather was terrible. Absolutely lovely people

Could do with a freshen up, but a decent place for a drink.

Went in on the 9th and the lady working at the bar was absolutely lovely, and brilliant with my dog whom can be very nervous with people. Couldn't off been a better experience!

This is one of my favorite pubs, the staff are friendly and as it is a small village pub the customers are chatty and lovely. I love the atmosphere and enjoy sitting in the outside area, dogs are welcome, which is great when we have been walking and called in for a friendly pint. Great pub 👍

If you want a Free £500 courtesy of the NHS then this is the place for you, leave your masks at the door you don't need them in here. No need to sit at the table waiting for your order been taken you just join the maskless crowd shoulder to shoulder at the bar pull up a stool. Make sure yo ve got your track n trace app turned on to ensure you get your free £500 as the pub doesn't do the track n trace. You'll also be pleased to know the landlord also runs a book, so you can bet on all your favourite sports without having to leave the bar... Its great... You'll need to be quick though before punch taverns or syp police cotton on and put an end to this

Nice village pub ..Barmaid Sonia is welcoming and funny ...always a good pint . Patio area and kids play area .. dog friendly ...very traditional .... nice for walkers on the Waggon Road ! ...v tasty pork pies and black pudding on a Sunday -perfect with a cold beer!! gorgeous views around ...

Great place. Quiet most week nights, busy on the weekend. Excellent place for watching sports. Friendly locals, feels like being in your own front room. Landlord is a good bloke.

Great pub good beer friendly atmosphere

The land lord of this quaint village pub is a right miserable sod. I understand that you need to look after your regulars but to the exclusion of everyone else is ridiculous. He seems to resent anyone going in who isn't a regular. Well I certainly won't becoming a regular even though I live in the village.
