The best restaurants serving Default food in Tamworth West Midlands

Found this pub whilst on the hunt for some local boozers and places to eat which led to us visiting twice in one weekend. We had drinks on the Friday and then my partner booked us in for Sunday dinner. Whilst the place could do with a lick of paint and a bit of a refurb don’t let that put you off as the food was delish! He had a full roast dinner with all the meats and I had the veg option which was a leek and cheese bake. We both cleared our plates and although I wanted to try a pud my stomach wasn’t going to allow it. 100% going back and I can see this being a regular with the Sunday lunch!! Such a great find!!!!

Nice food, was lovely and cooked beautifully...... Unfortunately not what we ordered 😕 will definitely order again, but will pay more attention to detail 👍

Staff are very polite and welcoming,the food is 10 out of 10 the surroundings are beautiful,especially the back garden with the view of the church,would fully recommend 👌🏻

Only 4 stars for the food as it arrived cold and it was not busy. Coffee wasn't too hot out the machines. Lovely and clean cafe. Manager was friendly and approachable. Staff was polite. Lovely visit

SIMPLE AS THAT YOU DO NOT CARE . NOW , WHOEVER READ THIS REVIEW FROM ASDA I AM TELLING IF YOU GO TO AN INDEPENDENT SMALL OR MICRO BUSINESS THEN DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT A BAD SERVICE TO THEM BECAUSE YOU AS LARGE BUSINESS HAVE NO SIMPLE CUSTOMER SERVICE . Order a fair bit from food paradise but I’m sorry to say that this time the chips were cold the egg fried rice was cold the chicken curry was not good as the sauce was thick and lukewarm warm

Fast service, hot fresh food, recommended

We have been using the dugout for many years as it was always excellent value for money however over the past few months not only has the quality gone down significantly, the price has gone up and the “specials” that always had more than enough are no longer enough to satisfy a small child! Have stopped using after 20 years

Chicken sag with mushrooms thrown in, and a good dose of chilli powder and a few fresh chilles thrown in. Worst jalfrezi ever. It’s put me off curries from there from now on

I went to AB,s today for a regular hot chocolate with soya milk but was appalled at the charge £3.75 when I queried this as cost on board was ,£2.75. I was told I had been charged for large and there was a 70 pence surcharge for soya milk. I protested but was only reimbursed the difference between regular and large. I didn't want to make a scene and it wasn't the ladies fault so I reluctantly paid the surcharge for my hot chocolate. It was lovely but certainly not worth the extra money. I have never been penalised for having soya or other plant milks in any other establishment. I would not recommend this place if you have dietary or allergies to dairy unless who I want to pay an exorbitant surcharge

Never been before, so a new experience. It's a burger bar, I thought it would be a sir down restaurant, so that was new. Ok, ordered a bacon dmberge4 and a small cheese burger and a large fries, plus two large drinks. I actually enjoyed the bacon burger, the bacon wad nice and crisp, for a burger bar the meat was quite nice, the fries were ok. My only issue was tge coat, over £40+ for two burgers and one large fries. Expensive but tasted ok. The staff were very helpful, would I go back?I suspect not, a little too expensive for what it was.

One of the best pubs I've ever been! Bar staff were fantastic. Paula, Dave were so welcoming. Zoe, never stopped smiling.
