Went for a Sunday lunch with my friend and I can't complain what so ever, great service, great food and will definitely be coming again. I felt like nothing was too much trouble and have recommended the Pretty Pigs to my friends.

We came for a carvery for my birthday on Sunday and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. We were told to order on the app and ordered 4 carvery’s and one burger. The queue for the carvery’s was ages (35 minutes). There was 1 person carving the meat and changing the veg over, he said it’s always one person on. This made the service extremely slow. The burger came out very quick so one of us ate alone. By the time we finally got our carvery’s, the burger was gone! All other places we’ve been have 1 person carving and at least 1 other changing veg over! The hygiene of the place was awful! Flys all over the food and meat, one landed on my sister’s plate when the meat was being carved. The lamp was very dusty. The carver had long hair which was not in a hair net! Our glasses were dirty and the wine glass had lipstick on from the previous person who had used it! The last time we came was completely different to this, the service was excellent so we are very disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone else!

We had an amazing night for my mom's 77th birthday! Service was amazing, we were well looked after, nothing was any trouble at all! Amazing staff that added to a great atmosphere and great time! Well done to all of you!

Very enjoyable meal and drinks, we both had burgers, my wife can be a bit picky with food, but they managed to follow instructions, and food was tasty, will definitely return. Mandy and harry was both very interactive and very nice to talk to. They also have a great outdoor area out the back for the kids. See again soon

Lovely Birthday Party at the Pretty Pigs for little man’s Birthday. Pizza making, outside play, pass the parcels then Ice Cream with a choice of syrups and sweeties. Thank you to the children who came and thank you for his presents. Thank you Michelle for making the cake it’s amazing. Football decorations from Mandy the Pizza Lady. Who doesn’t want a Football/ Pizza Party? Thank you Mandy and the staff at the Pretty Pigs. Bringing home Balloons too from Mandy. Amazing can’t recommend this type of party enough it was outstanding.

Good service. Very friendly staff. No waiting. Excellent choice of food. Clean looking ,Toilets very clean.

Although the carvery was lovely, we were sat at table 19, which has a walkway either side of us , so people were walking past constantly.Also it was a sunny day ,the back doors were open which caused quite a gust of wind blowing through ,this blew my serviette off my lap twice and cooled my meal down quite quickly.

Absolutely substandard service . Family member challenged about age at the bar by staff who knew him . I’ve had better atmosphere at a funeral . The manager was very helpful to all who knew her and she would make a very good town crier as she seemed to like disgusting her personal business to all who new her rather than concentrate on customers in general. The chef however was a friendly chap even though by his own admittance the food wasn’t the best . The rest of the staff followed the managers lead if we don’t know you personally we are not interested in you . Place is filthy tables are sticky staff are terrible food is better in a builders navy

Lovely Breakfast this morning at the pigs Dan as usual was the perfect host and breakfast made by Gail everything was hot and tasty and sorted me for the day best place to go for a yummy feast

Unclean, sketchy and chavvy. Me and my family came to this pub for a nice meal however we were greeted by stares from the staff and lack of effort from the staff. The roast dinner was vile. The gravy wasnt mixed in properly having lunps in it, was stood there for 10 minutes while the guy cut the meat and was barley any options to choose from. Disappointing to say the least. The place aslo felt unclean and there were marks and holes on the walls and the floor looked as it have never been cleaned. Dont not go here for your own safety.

Went to visit today for a light lunch I had a Turkey and stuffing Sandwich with chips and it was delicious I was served by a lovely lady called Sian Everyone was helpful and friendly The Pretty Pigs is my favourite go to place when I want to eat out

I'd never been before but had heard great things. The service was great, the food was nice, albeit a little over cooked (couldn't eat the Yorkshire pudding at all!) Only thing that really put me off was the look of the place. The seats are really dirty looking as is the ceiling, woodwork and some of the walls.. It just looks grimy and tired. If it had a good spruce up, it would be a great place to go eat Sunday dinner.

Waited a long time in carvery queue whilst chef was preparing deliveroo orders...by time we where served our hot drinks where cold...not very organised.

Coming down to the Pretty pigs with my family I was pleasantly surprised that how busy it was but the speed at what I was served .I can see when a good work environment is in operation as every part of the business works together rather than against each other and this allows the customer to have a good visit and enjoyable meal . We all really enjoyed our carveries and I wanted to thank the staff who helped ensure a delicious meal and very relaxed visit . I want to sing the praises of staff members James,Mandy ,Sherlene and Regan who all made it a wonderful visit . James especially as he was so polite to me ,my wife and children. My daughter even joked and said I wish I had a brother like that man instead of the brother I do have as he is so nice and polite.

A shared lunch with my partner, this place is always busy due I think because of the great value carvery. We ordered a shared starter and shared main, the food when it arrived was tasty. The thing that impressed me was the customer service given by Mandy who has worked at The Pretty Pigs for nineteen years. There was a big party who had ordered prior to us and she actually came and explained and apologised that we may have to wait a little longer whilst they were served, rather than leaving us waiting and guessing when our food arrive. After we had finished she again showed real interest in our experience. For this reason we are planning a family birthday at The Pretty Pigs.

Carvery wasn’t great. Manager rude. Cannot take any positive criticism. Other food took a while to come to table, and it had been waiting on the service counter for a while before it even got brought to the table. Wouldn’t recommend.

Just pop in as we was passing what a pleasant surprise it was best carvery ever absolute fantastic loved the chese mash could just have that and meat will vist again soon well done team pretty pigs x

do not bother, went for a carvery and it was awful, we were the only couple sat in the large back room, meats were dry and cold when placed onto plate, uneatable Yorkshire pudding rock hard and cold. uneatable stuffing was also rock hard, all veg looked very dry and unappetising, i have been here many times over the years and this was by far the worst meal in all that time, i think with it being so quiet at the time of our visit says it all, ( early afternoon) and it was not cheap compared to other outlets in and around Tamworth, Avoid !!

I popped in on way back home and had a lovely meal. I had a carvery but my husband had a pizza and my son a burger. They looked amazing so will definitely try them.next time we come.

We booked a table for the day required only to be told we could sit where we wanted this tells me there's was no booking for us.We ordered drinks and food and was told we could get our food in 15 min which was fine we eventually went to get our food only to be left standing there while a member of staff boxed up what looked like takeaway meal. When we were finally served we were given cold plates and the food was cold. We have been here a few times but will definitely think twice about coming again the pub was cold and uninviting I appreciate the problems you have had with the flooding but something could have been done about the floor even a few cheap carpets may have made a difference and maybe some heating I hope the people who have booked in for Christmas day dinner have a better time than we did. Today Decided to try out the breakfast as have really enjoyed the carvery and pizzas and was not disappointed unlimited breakfast so you could go up as many times as you wanted. The food was lovely and hot as busy as the chef lovely man with a beard made sure there was only as minimal wait for eggs filled me up for the day ahead will definately be back soon

So happy we went for lunch today. Meat delicious. Nice selection of veg the cauliflower cheese was excellent roast spuds yummy more thank happy and the staff bright and welcoming.

Excellent food and friendly service. Didn’t try the carvery but it looked fresh and pizza and burgers were lovely! Great value for money. It’s cheap and cheerful overall and can’t beat it for a mid week treat.

The food was amazing and great value for money. There was a young lady called Ella, she was absolutely brilliant, so helpful and professional. You could see she really enjoyed her job. she couldn’t have done anymore to make our visit any nicer.

I visited here last June, We were tired after a day out and we had a carvery. The carvery itself was okay- nothing special. I just feel like this pub needs a spruce up! The rooms are dark and the tables were messy, I know...

Went there in the evening 7 with my wife and 2 young kids , food was really nice and fast to come . And they even got a park out the back for the kids would highly recommend. The lady who served us Ella was brilliant and friendly and very helpful . Also the chef ( lady ) don't know her name was brilliant and very helpful .

Myself, my mom, son and our dog stopped off on the 1st of June for a beer. Having not been in a few yeara I ran in before we went in to see if we could take the dog into the garden(which we were able to). The garden is lovely, drinks orders were taken and delivered to the table promptly and all the staff were welcoming and friendly.With how hot the weather was, my dog had a cooling coat on. It had been on for a while and needed re wetting, having gone to the toilets to do this I realised there was only hot water taps. A staff member when I came out asked if I needed anything and when I asked if they could wet the coat they went the extra mile, taking the coat and soaking it in a tub with ice water whilst also bringing the tub with the coat in to the table. This was very much appreciated.Whilst we didn't eat there this time round we will be back again to try the menu out and for future drinks.

Mandy and Billie/Billy were absolutely lovely, they served us while we were in the restaurant today and they made us feel so welcome and appreciated, They honestly could not have done more. Mandy and Billie/Billy are an absolute credit to the company. I must say that i suffer from very bad anxiety and this is the only restaurant that i do not feel nervous to go to and all of the staff are so pleasant and always up for a conversation!! Overall this is the best restaurant i have ever been to!! You can't beat it!! (The food was absolutely incredible and the WOO WOO made by Mandy was to die for!!!) Definitely reccomend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!!

Good service, but the quality of the beer was not the bestI had a 2 61 Deeps, hoping that the second would be better than the first. The beer wasn't tangy, but went flat rather quickly, a member of the team topped it up, though. No pedigree alternative.For food I had the halloumi wrap and was asked if I wanted chips on the side, nice touch.A good choice on the menu, although more vegetarian options would be better.

Everyone we met, the person at the door, the lady who served us at the table and the chefs at the carvery were all super helpful and friendly. Nice carvery. This was our first visit back after lockdown and we weren't sure how it would work but it was great and we will go again.

We have eaten at the Pretty Pigs a lot recently due to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, and since this ended, using the venues own promotional offers. The food is of excellent quality and never disappoints. There is always a vast range of options on the carveries, including three roast meats and all the trimmings. There are daily offers available and you are also able to enter the venue with dogs. I can’t recommend the Pretty Pigs highly enough. It is located just outside Tamworth and there is a massive free car park opposite the venue. There are so many members of staff here who are not only polite and efficient, but also extremely friendly. I have to mention Shell as member of staff who frequently goes above and beyond. Thanks to all.

Came down for dinner on Sunday afternoon (18/10/2020) and was seated by a lovely and polite young lady who explained how everything worked and that one of the servers would be over to take our order. The server came over within seconds which we was very pleased with I think her name was Sophie. She was very polite and got us our drinks quickly and helped us with anything we needed. Will definetley be coming back again.

Called there for breakfast this morning, Friday 16th October. What a lovely friendly place. Brilliant variety of breakfast items all piping hot and tasty. Brilliant value for money. Lovely two young ladies served me, Shell and Kaz both were really pleasant and helpful run through how the process works. They was very helpful and you could see every one there enjoyed doing there jobs. Would definitely be calling there again and would highly recommend the restaurant.

Booked in for breakfast this morning with my partner and 17 month old son, requested a high chair on my booking and it was there when we arrived. (Probably thinking why I have placed that information in this review but Iv requested one before at other places and they don’t have a clue when we arrive so this was the first time someone’s done this for us on request from a website booking page) I didn’t catch the guys name that looked after us but it may have been Dan. Great customer service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left explained everything to us and what they had to offer.

Me and my family went this afternoon for a carvery and it was amazing, one of the best carveries I have had in a very long time. All social distancing/covid measures in place. We were served quickly and all staff were brilliant. Highly recommend if you want a tasty meal and good service Thank you!

Treated mother in law to meal here tonight (16/9/20). Had starter carvery and desert. Absolutely fabulous. Plenty of choice on carvery and decent portion sizes. Staff were cheery friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Definitely go back again and again

Went using 50% discount voucher. Covid 19 measures a little lax and carvery, although hot, was nothing to write home about. Wouldn't make a special journey to visit again

We took my wife's parents out for their first post shielding drink and to celebrate their Golden Anniversary. The staff were amazing and really looked after us so much so that my in laws decided to eat there rather than do a take away. The food was really nice and fresh and overall a great experience.

Today I took some friends for Sunday carvery lunch,Food was very nice but,,,,We waited 45 minutes after being seated for our drinks, this was after I asked a waitress when we were going to be seen to, we went up for our food that was fine. We finished our meal and waited for the table to be cleared so we could order our sweet, again after a long time we had to ask ,No one took our names Or phone numbers for Covid trace and track, and none of the staff wore gloves or aprons very dissapointed,

First time here and I have to say we were treated great. It was a nice friendly welcome, after telling them that we had never been before they explained what to do and where everything was. We had a great table, all spaced out and freshly cleaned menus.The food was great, I have never seen my two kids eat pizza so fast, wife had the carvery and I had an adult pizza (create your own). Even when the 50% offer ends we will still be coming here for own family meals, it is just a shame we didn't know about this place sooner.Back again next week!

We had another great meal here tonight, all the staff are so friendly and the food was great. Especially the Pepperoni Pizza, special thanks to Billy working by the hot Pizza oven!

We visited as a family of 4 adults and 1 child. Table was pre booked for 6.45. Procedures were explained before we sat down. It was fairly busy due to the offer but didn’t appear packed. Ordered our drinks and food, 4 caverys and a child’s meal. We waited quite some time, mean while other people were ordering and going to collect their food before us. After 45 mins we asked a member of staff what was happening, she said she would find out and come back to us, never saw her again. Hour later we asked again, little 1 was getting tired and hungry by this point, again no communication. Another large table were seated behind us, obviously friendly with staff, they were allowed to collect food straight the way. All in all we waited 1 hour 30 mins with nothing. Needless to say we left and went elsewhere. Not good and definitely won’t be returning as it’s obviously a ‘locals’ place.

Great food and service as always, had gammon, egg and chips and a carvery meal. No complaints. The customers were all sat apart, and staff were protected. They did a great job under difficult times ( covid does not make things easy)

The service was exceptional and the food was brilliant. They've dealt with the virus superbly, tables were nicely spaced out etc. Ella was brilliant, checking in just the right amount always nice polite and the guy who was working alongside her was lovely and a top geeza, both were charming and quick. Just visited pretty pigs for lunch and Wowser, food excellent and devoured it quicker than Bolt in the 200m. Great atmosphere and the Ale not too bad either. Coming from the south to have ale at £3 is insane altogether great value a must visit of which passed on to one of the Friendly staff Ella who along with the rest excellent. Not often I dish out a 5 star but well deserved.Dean

Took my mum for a Sunday car very, had a lovely warm welcome from Ella. The food was great and the table service was superb. As a bonus Ella even remembered my mums name.

Went in and we were shown to a table quickly and left to it. Having never been here before we didn't know if someone was coming over to take our order or if we had to go up to the bar. After waiting a few minutes I went to find someone and ask who then directed me to pay at the bar and we receive a voucher. We paid and went and stood in line at the carvery. The gentleman behind the meat was very friendly and expertly carved up the food. I had the beef and Turkey. I am not normally a turkey fan but this looked lovely and moist and it did taste great. The beef was overcooked for my personal tastes but was still moist and enjoyable to eat. Lovely home made roasted which I could have been happy with a plate of those and the lovely thick gravy.The cauliflower was cooked nicely not hard or mushy, stuffing and mash seemed a bit dry and the Yorkshires were frozen which was a little disappointing since the roasties were clearly not. A homemade Yorkshire pudding sets you apart from the rest in my eyes.It was nice enough and I would go back when visiting.

Visited the restaurant two days ago Thursday 30th January 2020. When we first walked in we were welcomed by a lovely host, young lady called Ella. She was very polite and professional. You could see she really enjoyed her job. She catered for all our needs. The food was piping hot and tasted brilliant. We would recommend this restaurant any time, brilliant food and drink and really welcoming. The prices were really reasonable as well real value for money.

Not fine dining that’s for sure . Nachos as a sharing starter very good. Two decent fresh cooked pizzas and a bottle of fizz for less than twenty seven pounds. Can’t fault it . Worth a visit .

Went for a carvery on a thursday afternoon. Very quiet, only got small piece of gammon and turkey. Not full slices. Although a variety of choice for veg, it wasnt much choice for myself being a fussy eater. Only option was peas, dont eat carrots cauliflower or savoy cabbage(only eat white cabbage). The food wasnt hot hot but it wasnt cold. With the veg being help yourself, i suppose it can be hard to keep at a high temperature. Never had a bad meal from there though. Always fills me up.Staff are always friendly and very welcoming. Service with a smile. Cant wait for my next visit.

Frequent visitor for Sunday roast, decided to go for Xmas lunch. Once again I was really pleased I made the right decision. The tables were beautifully laid with Christmas crackers and a Christmas card, this was very thoughtful. The food was as I have always found to be of an excellent standard with a good variety. Considering it was Christmas Day, the staff were as pleasant and helpful as any normal working day despite giving up their own Christmas Day. I will continue to be a frequent visitor and will thoroughly recommend anyone to go and enjoy the food and ambience there.

We have been meeting at the Pretty Pigs in Tamworth for a number of months we are all aged between 68 and 72 on Tuesday we had a fantastic Christmas lunch all 18 of us. The service was excellent. The staff had laid out all of the tables to make a long table, and we also had Christmas crackers. The three courses were really great. Top marks to the management, all of our group really enjoyed the afternoon. To those reading this please go and try the food and service , Dave Warr . see you all in February have a great Christmas and a very happy new year

So today me and the hubby went for a carvery. Our hostess was the lovely Liv, our carver was the lovely Glen. The food was amazing. I commented on the mash potatoes saying how lovely they were. So even before I had ate them I said how nice they looked. So thank you Chef Billy. Just want to say the staff our a credit to the company.

This has got to be the worst place ever the food was horrible the staff were disrespectful and rude we stood waiting for a table that we booked for a member of staff to walk past us after we said we’ve booked a table the managers looked so moody it was unreal I’ve eaten in restaurants before and I tell you what the service from other places were amazing can’t believe it’s got a 3 and a half star rating that’s beyond me!!

We took our granddaughter with us when we had lunch here and it 2as very nice. The food was hot and tasty and it was comfortable to lunch there.

Me and my wife visited the Pretty Pigs yesterday afternoon for a carvery , and we where so disgusted with the mush served up , the meat was poor my wife had beef and turkey , the beef had so much fat on it she asked for it to be be removed from her plate the turkey was ok but have tasted much better, i had turkey it was passable , the veg was disgusting ! the sprouts where rock hard / the cauliflower was passable there was not any carrots the roast potatoes where disgusting nothing like fresh roast potatoes should be they looked like left overs then re-heated more like baked potatoes and the gray was only luke warm , and last night after returning home my wife suffered severe stomach pains and i felt sick all night , that is the last time we shall have another carvery there , we used to go quite often but never again.

New to the area and been this place 3 times for take out pizza now, pizza is very good! Service is amazing, managers very attentive!

Amazing place to eat. I visit this restaurant on Tuesday this week 15/10/2019. I just had to write a review on the brilliant experience. The minute I walked in to the pub had a lovely warm welcoming from the young lady behind the bar her name was Ella. She was lovely explained the process also what food and food and drinks they serve. You could see she really love her job. She made the whole experience wonderful. We had a carvery. The food deck was immaculate. The food was piping hot and tasted delicious. I would highly recommend the restaurant anytime to anyone.

Visited Sunday 13th late afternoon. Where to even start. I don’t know what was worse the state of the place or the attitude of the staff... walked into the building and up to the stand which says “wait here to be seated” so we waited, all of a sudden the lady behind the bar shouts over the person she’s serving at the bar “only pork and beef left” we walked over and said this fine and her response was “sit where you want”. We walked around to find a very messy area of tables and barely any staff cleaning them. Sat down and sort of wondered, what next?? After being here before years ago I was certain you had to pay first to get your carvery ticket so went back to the bar question this which indeed was correct (could have said this before). On passing checked out the carvery, well... all the veg looked dry and like it had been sitting their for god knows how long, barely any meat and the sauces not labelled and most of it over the worktop with a queue of miserable looking customers. Staff were not helpful and rude. All this said we decided to leave and go somewhere else for a lovely meal. Such a disappointment.

Came in for breakfast today and Shaun the chef gave us our plate explained the process and even had us some fresh eggs for when we got there. All the food was amazing. And it was nice to have a good friendly and happy chat early in the morning nothing was too little for him and we will definitely be coming again

Came again for food today after I received a e voucher for my comments on face book about cleanliness and food and other stuff .so to my visit today what can I say cleanliness a lot better .food not good .at all if ur going to use pictures on Facebook to advertiser please try to make the food u serve in ur establishment look similar to it . And hot as well because the carvey meat was not very hot .the pork was dry and over cooked the Turkey was dry as well and the beef which my wife had was tough as old boots . I'm glad it was voucher for a 20 pounds that I used because I would off felt robbed . What happed used to be lovely when the old company had it it as gone down hill . And it's very disappointing indeed .

Kids had no problem with their fast food meals, except chips which they had wait for. Husband said his pizza was dry and left a most of. We went up for our carvery. I had Turkey and beef which was the dry end of beef, which the chef explained the the management like them to use it all up. After choosing the vegetables etc. we found no gravy, which we told chef about and said he would fetch it but when he came out he bought refill of mashed potatoes but no gravy. We must have waited 10 minutes for it to arrive. I put my meal under hot lights on top of vegetables to try and keep warm which didn't work. Food was cold, we all ate at different times.experience was totally disappointing, which left my daughter feeling upset and cross as this was my special 65th birthday. Sweets came complimentary but even the ice creams were disaster as they came out runny and had to ask for fresh dishes and then no sauces and toppings available. On our way out we said to ourselves that the table next to us which was reserved for large birthday party that we hoped they had better luck with their experience. Tiramisu was best part of my celebration.

Tried the pizza night special with bottle of wine fantastic value.pizzas were superb, the vegan one was brilliant, chatting to the chef afterwards he was very knowledgeable . All staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely be back again soon

Went for a sunday dinner with the family, got hardly no meat on my plate from the gentlemen serving.Apart from that food was okay. Place needs a good re-vamp looks dull inside and cramped.

Visited at 10:15am, Sunday morning. Lots of seats so we settled quickly. Ordered breakfast and drinks.

Great food, lots of selection. Cosy atmosphere. Ideal for families. Huge carpark and seating outside.

My husband and myself visited your restaurant on 07.08.19 The staff were very friendly and pleasant and that's where the compliments end.We had not visited Pretty Pigs for many years but after we were recommended we thought we would try. My husband ordered sausage and I had small carvery(which was served on what I would describe as a child plate - not impressed) I cannot fault the selection of vegetables but I could not say they were (fresh) My husband remarked how tasteless the sausages were and not hot at all He was very disappointed My carvery was almost cold and the cauliflower cheese was of a rubbery consistency Perhaps if we had visited when the restaurant was busy the food would have been more acceptable but the quality of the food should be of the same quality at any time Overall a very disappointing experience

Visiting the area and we found this place online. We do not have this chain of pubs in our area so decided to give it a go.

6 of us came in for an evening carvery. The service was awesome as usual. Russell and Gail made us feel very welcome. Mandy was our carver. She was so friendly and accommodating to our needs. As she always is. We are always made welcome at the pretty pig's and it's due to the staff that we return so regularly. Thank you Russell Gail Mandy and Shaun

Regular customer at the pretty pigs, the carvery recently has always been good but tonight the meats were exceptional,fresh,hot and very succulent. Congratulations to all kitchen staff involved

Came in for breakfast and was happy to be served by Shaun who was giving out our plates. He was so plesent and it was pouring out of him how much he loved what he does he seemed so proud to be doing his job, its so nice to see this shine through someone these days not many people have the respect he does for there companys.we had a bad drive here as wasnt in the best of moods and my goodness he changed our moods he was having a chat and laugh with us. We felt like we were so welcomed by him and not just another person coming in to the building for food. I will be recomending this place to all of my family and friends. Food was beautiful and we were even presented with fresh eggs when we got that far down the line of foods. There was plenty of food so we could have as much as we liked and didnt feel like we were limited like you do at some places.
