We are visitors to tamworth on the canal and we were very glad that we chose this pub to have a drink. The atmosphere in the bar was fabulous. Very welcoming and the drinks we had were perfect. It was also very clean

Nice place to go for a couple of beers, also can take my little Dog with me. Pleasant friendly bar staff. I now use pub regularly.👍

GREAT PUB! Unexpectedly in Tamworth googled pubs nearby and the Dolphin came up. Needed somewhere to watch Oxford United play in the off final as couldn't be at Wembley Called and left a message as no answer. I was called back very quickly by landlord. All the staff were brilliant and even met some other Oxford fans in there! Had a great time with the locals too. Will definitely visit every time we're in Tamworth and highly recommend. Massive thanks to you all. "UP THE YELLOWS"

Desperately needed to use a toilet. Asked them if I can use theirs. It's not the fact that I offered to pay for the use that bothered me, it's the fact that I was requested to buy a drink in order to be able to use the toilet, and when I ordered a bottle of water, she looked at me in a really pitiful way! Darling, the need to use a toilet, tells you I need to have a vodka?

We had a family surprise 60th in the upstairs function room, about 35 of us including kids. From start to finish the owner or manager was rude and had the customer service skills of a disinterested gnat. She practically spoiled the surprise by locking the room a few minutes before the birthday boy was due to arrive due to staffing issues and told us in the most rude and inconsiderate way. Spent the time complaining about health and safety and despite us taking care to sort the room, kept the deposit because it apparently took 5 hours to clean it, and the small pieces of white tac pulled paint off the walks, requiring full repaint. Don't bother going. She needs a course in customercservice I'm afraid. We made the best of it but it created a lot of unneccesary stress and spoiled the general atmosphere. We won't be returning.

Walked in to friendly welcome and service. Lovely bar area with a separate room with pool table. As you walk down a corridor the entrance to the garden is there. Again well lit. Can't wait to go back

Nice little pub with great service and good prices

The Dolphin public house is now closed for the forceable future. Unfortunately due to disputes with those who run the dolphin, pint pot trading ltd. There was no alternative but for the assistant manager to quit with immediate affect, leaving the dolphin without staff. No idea when or even if it will re-open but for those customers we now call friends, we would like to appilogise for any inconvenience caused & thank you from the bottom of our hearts for becoming our friends. We hope to see you somewhere soon Love & best wishes Chris,Mina,Katie, Connor & Zoe.

4 of us popped in for a quick drink on the way past, we've often wondered what it was like in there .... we were plesently surprised, great staff and a warm welcome from the regulars.

It's boring no amphosere never got the drink u ask for advertising food outside and they don't do food and basically if u fancy a nap in the corner it's the place to go a dump now.

Good friendly pub with nice selection of beers

Can't really speak for the food as I haven't eaten there in years now, but overall a smashing little pub for those looking for a couple of casual pints during the day or a chilled evening out. Can get quite busy of an evening and especially the weekend, but the staff and those who visit are friendly enough, just say hello and I'm sure they'll be happy to strike up a conversation with you. A dartboard can be found next to the bar, although be warned this is in kind of an awkward place as it's right next to the corridor leading to the toilets and small beer garden, so if you fancy a game during a busy period be prepared to give way to those wishing to use either of these!
