although the decor inside could be nicer. Was lovely to learn of its history & to sit in the area outside. Limited basic (vegan) menu & only filter coffee.! The toilets were filthy, & had no paper. Steep incline to reach the cafe, fine for buggys & wheelchairs. Parking in the main town and about a 10-15min walk.

Just turned up for Sunday Roast 3:23pm to find the restaurant 25% full with food laid out on the Carvery to be told that they couldn’t accommodate the 2 of us. Drove in from Kidderminster and refused service even though the food was there ready to be served. Asked if I need a reservation to be told no. Obviously penny pinch to the point that they’re turning away business. Used to be a decent pub and always enjoyed the drive from Kidderminster. Looking for a reply.

My goodness, where do I start, such a disappointment, dark and dingy, the smell of the place was awful, it smelt of cigarettes and dogs, filthy tea stained mug when ordering a cup of tea, glasses that obviously hadn't seen a dishwasher and lager that tasted as though the pipes needed a thorough clean, sticky tables and toilet doors without a door lock.such a shame, it is allocated in such a prime position overlooking the river, unfortunately for us it was a trip that will not be forgotten for all of the wrong reasons.

It was a good experience at first but then later on the night soon realised that underage kids was being served drinks and they was then later on throwing up behind the pub after women was buying them drinks and giving them cigarettes. There was then a couple arguing outside and we was very disappointed to say that it was supposed to be a family site. Soon into the night we then saw the bartender who only looked 16-17 drinking in the pub after finishing glass collecting. Don’t know if that’s the way it works around here but will definitely not be returning.

Called in on a recommendation, we received a very warm welcome. A very comfortable environment to relax in, the menu was good and reasonably priced. Drinks very good, the food was delicious. I had the fish and chips, I have a hearty appetite and was not disappointed in any way. The service was excellent the people waiting on were attentive, polite, friendly and very welcoming. Rest rooms (a good indication of cleanliness of an establishment) were spotlessly clean. I will return to try other dishes on the menu. Thank you Plough and Harrow 👍

What a lovely experience, and so deserving of the many excellent reviews. The food is sublime - one had monkfish, the other pork chops - every mouthful so full of flavour. The pub / restaurant is a wonderful old building, with tasteful decoration. The front of house / owner helps create a great vibe - relaxed, friendly, but v professional. Highly recommended - we wish we had this pub closer to home.

Lovely pub, fast service, very helpful polite, professional and friendly staff and absolutely delicious food, very generous portions too. We could have done with a guide to their typical pudding menu online or on Facebook as we couldn’t find a dessert menu and almost went elsewhere but glad we didn’t as the pudding choice was extensive and they were delicious. We had the Zillionaire Tarte and the white choc raspberry roulade.

This venue has to be commended for providing a great time whatever time of day you visit. Recently they have introduced mobile food vans all of which are very varied to suit everyone’s taste. They have also planned regular entertainment which is always well attended, recent artists have been Mel & Him and Dan Greenaway, it the recent good weather this has taken place in the large pub garden, last night every table was taken. In the coming weeks I will be attending some fantastic events that the management have worked hard to arrange, activities like charity auctions, quiz evenings and even the odd game of bingo. My opinion of this venue is that it’s going from strength to strength and well deserved a visit. Well done to Tom, Matt Gill and your team for providing a great venue in a beautiful country village.

My wife and I ate here as the place we were staying was a bit rough. Huge pub with relatively small bar area, it's become a place to eat for sure, more than hang out and have a drink. Having said that, the staff were very friendly, and the food was really good for a chain pub. The husband and wife (manager/chef) combo obviously works well. Plenty of seating outside in the garden, with an undercover area for smokers with heating. Drinks were reasonably priced, as was the food, so would definitely come back.
