The best restaurants serving Default food in Mease and Tame Lichfield West Midlands

Excellent service pleasant staff service with a smile nothing is too much trouble.....went there to celebrate a friends 80th birthday organised by a family member..Absolutely perfect from start to finish compliments to the Chef and all the staff.

What a wonderful night for a 21st birthday! Sinead decorated the room beautifully for my daughter and the food provided by Chef Stack was simply divine! Don't hesitate if you have an event upcoming and are looking for a room, you can't go wrong with The Crown! Sinead and the rest of the team are wonderful! 10/10 from me!

Just before Christmas we visited this restaurant and had an exceptional meal. We decided to return for birthday celebrations so last night six of us arrived expecting more of the same. What a transformation! Style over substance is now the order of the day! I had a crayfish salad for starters, three mouthful and it's gone. For the main course three of us had lambshank and three had haddock parcels. The lambshank were plonked in a bowl with a few pieces of random vegetables floating in the bottom. The haddock looked nice but also was insubstantial. No set course menu so a la carte prices which represented poor value for money. Won't be rushing back here!!!

Nice little pub but if you haven't got the staff what's the point on arrival were told hour and a half wait for food won't be back went to the fox at hopwas instead would highly recommend.

Very good home made Indian meal with a good selection of beers in a friendly village pub. Perfect and well worth a visit.

Very poor salad to accompany salmon. A few leaves from a bag, 1/4 tasteless tomato and a slice of onion. No dressing at all. Could not even express my views of the meal as no one came to check that we were happy with our meals. Other meal, a curry was tasteless and naan was a tiny prepackaged one. For what is charged for meals, there definitely needs to be an improvement in quality of products.

The lunch for five took far too long and they were not hot enough. I waited to complain at the bar but no-one was available and my lunch was getting colder. On telling the barman that the meal wasn't hot enough when he collected the plates he said he would tell the chef. A free drink might have been offered. Surely if the plates themselves had been hotter in the first place this would have kept the meals hotter.

Really disappointing experience. We arrived at 4 o’clock and the pub was not busy at all, inside or out. Ordered the beef brisket sandwich with chips and a burger and chips and two soft drinks which came to just under £40. Waited 30 mins before the food came out. The beef brisket sandwich was very dry, the toasted bread was just hard like it had been sat under a heater for ages and the chips looked very brown and were hard and luke warm, again like they had just been sat under a heater for ages. And all dried out! The whole thing was odd because even looking at the chips you could see they looked awlful!!! The burger was just average, again the chips were just dry, hard and warm. We ended up asking for fresh chips which were bought out as we finished the rest of our meal….. these chips looked completely different (and better) than the first lot, with such a visible difference I don’t understand why neither the kitchen staff or waiter had thought the original chips were acceptable?! Neither of the meals were value for money and neither of them tasted good. It’s such a shame because the tame otter is in such a lovely setting! We would not visit here again for food.

Popped in for lunch with my daughter. We went for the all day breakfast.... service and food was great, the best fried bread I've had in years.

My friend and I visited on a Friday evening. The restaurant was not overly busy, but the bar area was. We were seated at the bottom end of the restaurant - which unfortunately was freezing. I shivered throughout the whole meal. We had a main meal and a desert - both of which were lovely and very tasty Towards the end of our meal, we had to wait 20 minutes from placing the order for our desserts until they actually arrived (the restaurant was nearly empty by this stage at 8.15pm). We asked for our bill, but after 15 minutes the waiting staff still hadn’t brought it, so we went to the bar to pay - as there were 5 staff standing there chatting. The food was lovely and tasty, but unfortunately the waiting staff let it down on the service, as well as the freezing cold temperature of the bottom of the restaurant.

Y se puede recomendar residente local como los comentarios anteriores tienen la comida es excelente. Tan triste escuchar que Alex y su esposa son tener que salir no sé por qué pero el reemplazo de ser mejor?

Last minute booking to celebrate a birthday. They were easily able to accommodate our party of 10 at short notice. The layout of the table was brilliant as we were essentially sat in a square so could all easily see and speak to one another. I have tried most things on the menu but had a change and tried the plant-based meatballs. I was not disappointed, they were delicious. Dine here and you will find the food consistently plentiful and flavourful - I can definitely highly recommend the game from many a previous visit. Consistent value for money. Thanks to Bev and her team as always for a fabulous evening.
