Very good home made Indian meal with a good selection of beers in a friendly village pub. Perfect and well worth a visit.

Jas and Dal (landlord/lady) are extremely good at what they do. Lovely couple, created a village pub with a very friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Fantastic beer, lines are properly looked after. Brilliant choice of shorts/spirits. Nice choice of wine. I eat regularly in curry-houses country-wide, their traditional "homemade" curry is absolutely beautiful. Chefs are obviously very talented. Menu is great. Lots of options for veggies etc. Can't recommend highly enough. I would pay double the price that they charge for the food, it really is very good. I feel privileged to live in a village with such a special eatery. A must visit if you are a curry or beer fan!

This place is great. As my wife and I live in the next visit we eat at this little gem regularly. This has the best food I have tasted (and we have visited lots of Indian restaurants) 10/10. give it a try. You won't be disappointed!!

Ich wahr jetzt schon vier mal dort zum Feierabend Bier. Jedoch gibt es nicht nur verschiedenen Englischen und internationalen Bier, sondern auch noch ein paar tollen indischen Gerichten. Das Service ist wie in jeder Pub in England üblich, an der Bar bestellen, zahlen und die Getränken direkt mit am Tisch nehmen. Das Essen wird in der Regeln auch an der Bar bestellt und dan am Tisch serviert. Das Personal ist wirklich super freundlichen und herzlich, junger nicht gelernter Team, jedoch fähig. We live in the next village Elford 💖 the food from here is amazing, so tasty and full of flavours. My family and I have never had a bad meal I would love to take the chef home ( sounds wrong ) For him to cook for me everyday Very talented, yummy food. A friendly young couple Jasmin & Dal have been running our Village Pub for well over a year. They have made a real success of it for the Villagers and visitors alike. Quality Indian food is now on offer at very good value prices. My favourite include the Onion Bhajis (the best I have ever tasted) and the Indian Mixed Grill either as a shared starter or main, very different. Top ales and lagers are available and Dal certainly knows how to look after the ales. Tuesday is a value evening with a curry, rice and pint on offer for £8.00. We have introduced many friends to the pub, none have been disappointed. Good place to watch the sports as well and once month there is a well-organised Open Mike night.

Delicious, authentic Indian food; probably the best for miles! As it’s our local, we’ve likely sampled the entire menu over the past year, the food is consistently delicious, the service is fantastic, and the owners are just so lovely. Well worth a visit!

Beautiful pub in a small village. We had heard that they had started doing Indian food so came in for a meal. Amazing atmosphere and superb food. The mixed grill and the butter chicken are my favourite! However I have never tried lamb before so the lamb saag has definitely changed my taste buds for the better. We have been several times since but only just realised they had a trip advisor page!!! Keep up the good work. 10/10

Visited the Blackhorse pub with my family and we had an amazing time. I’m not a huge fan of Indian food, but I have to say the chef was so accommodating by making my dish a more mild version to everyone else’s. The quality of the food is so good, not what I expected from a village pub. Staff are friendly and accommodating, and the wines are superb. I really feel this is a must visit place as words don’t do it justice. Living with an Indian food fanatic, that loves the spice and flavours that come with Indian food, I often feel like a killjoy 😊 We have finally found a place where we can both enjoy Indian food. I would recommend the chilli salmon. The mixed sizzlers also look amazing.

We first came upon the Indian food here at new year, and visit or take away pretty much every week since! Being Indian, we are fussy about our curries but this is the best in Tamworth and surrounding areas by a country mile. Everything cooked from scratch and nothing is too much trouble. Jasmine, Dal and the team are always so accommodating.

Popped by for a drink and didn't realise they had an Indian menu. Food that came out smelled delicious so thought we'd give it a try. Wow...excellent food, excellent hospitality. Jasmine was so lovely and welcoming. Definitely go again very soon

Phoned to book, I was told I didn’t need to “just turn up before 9.30” . Got there at 8.30, told there would be a wait until 9, asked for an update at 9 they said they couldn’t fit us in!

The Indian food is amazing, the chef skills are out of this world, as well as food quality service is really important to me, we ate in a group last evening and as always the food was delicious but the waitresses and bar staff were brilliant, it was a very busy evening but all the staff were superb, always going above and beyond their duties to ensure we had a great night. Many thanks Jas and Dal, you have a fantastic team!

This small village pub offers a small and very simple menu of really good quality Indian food without the frills.

We visited with family and friends as a party of sixteen. This is a small village pub and the day we chose was on the same day as the six nations finale. The atmosphere was excellent, the welcome from Jas and Dal and the team was great and the food was off the scale. We have no idea how the chef, in a small kitchen, managed to produce consistently fresh, high quality food in good order. We highly recommended this place for anyone who likes traditional Indian food and a nice ale. Just brilliant.
