Didn't eat this time, first visit checking out what will be our local soon. Lovely atmosphere. Look forward to socialising here.

Lovely lunch with friends. We spent nearly 4 hours here catching up and we weren’t rushed but were looked after very well! Fab food, great service. Definitely be back.

Just before Christmas we visited this restaurant and had an exceptional meal. We decided to return for birthday celebrations so last night six of us arrived expecting more of the same. What a transformation! Style over substance is now the order of the day! I had a crayfish salad for starters, three mouthful and it's gone. For the main course three of us had lambshank and three had haddock parcels. The lambshank were plonked in a bowl with a few pieces of random vegetables floating in the bottom. The haddock looked nice but also was insubstantial. No set course menu so a la carte prices which represented poor value for money. Won't be rushing back here!!!

Visited today for Sunday lunch and had the most beautiful cooked Sunday roast. The full trimmings and delicious gravy! Highly recommend. Lovely staff and welcoming environment.

Called to ask if they were open and took card payments as I was in the area with my daughter for a football game. Spoke to one of the rudest men I have ever encountered, demanded I make an order on the spot, even though that wasnt what I was calling for, then hung up on me when I asked about paying by card. Useless.

We have been here so many times and it is excellent every time. We were lucky enough to dine here twice this month as we had relatives here from Devon, followed by friends from New Zealand. Delicious home cooked food and plentiful portions as always. I can personally recommend the whitebait and prawn cocktail starters. If you like game - the pheasant is wonderful, as is the partridge. Fillet steak was amazing, I don’t think anyone could be disappointed whatever dish they choose!
