We went for a Sunday lunch and everything was fantastic. It was a lovely traditional village pub, the staff and locals were friendly and welcoming. Now for the food, wow absolutely beautiful, plentiful and flavoursome and loads of gravy as well! Thank you so much
Cute little coffee shop. Was excited about the cake as it looked good but unfortunately didnāt stay for any because the lady at the till was quite unwelcoming when we arrived
A truly excellent meal served by the owner who welcomed us, took our orders, cooked and served it on his own. A fantastic job, well done. The food was excellent, the portions were very generous,
.
Popped in here for lunch as it looked busy and cosy from the outside. We both had wild mushrooms - hen of the woods, king oyster etc. with garlic on toasted sourdough. Most delicious and a generous portion. Would definitely come back here.
Held an event for 50 people there, and honestly, it couldnt have gone better. The staff were amazing - incredibly helpful. The venue was perfect. Will be returning lots!
We've been many times before and always loved the food, was always busy with a queue outside, which tells you all you need to know . Today we ordered takeout fish and chips for two, and it was really disappointing - dry and overcooked. The shop interior which always used to be clean was grubby , and the floor needed a sweep and mop( bits of paper and general muck all over it). Such a shame its gone downhill like this. Wont be returning.
What could be better to find at the half way point of a circular Totnes-Dartington walk across the green fields of Devon than a lovely welcoming cafe? Nothing! And that's where The Green Table really comes into its own.
Very welcoming staff, a large amount of seating both inside and outside, clean restrooms and a great selection of baked goods, sandwiches and drinks all reasonably priced and served promptly.
Honestly one of the best fruited scones I've ever had - warm and plump with a golden crust and a fluffy middle - served with thick clotted cream and sweet strawberry jam, it was an absolute delight to eat alongside a pot of freshly brewed Darjeeling tea, all outside where I could also enjoy the fresh air and a bit of dog watching!
100% would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to come back again...what a treat!
A delicious and wholesome soup of the day. Tomato and ginger. A popular and attractive venue with stone walls. Welcoming and cheerful crew. š¬š§š³šæ
Lovely traditional pub friendly staff. We went on a Friday when it was fish or Pizza night. We had pizza and a fish burger all really good quality for the price we paid. Meal for 3 with drinks £70 I feel is good value would go back if in area.
While waiting for the actual Garden Centre to "open" at 10.30 we visited the cafe for a coffee a tea and two sausage sandwiches.
Unfortunately after twenty minutes, (just as I was going to enquire where our order was), the waitress arrived with two bacon sandwiches????Apparently the "girl" had pressed the wrong button š³ therefore changing our order to something completely different, the waitress did offer to change the sandwiches but in all honesty another twenty minute wait was definitely out of the question.
Beyond dissaponted and expected better, such a shame.
Unfortunately we decided to order a cod and chips here yesterday evening. The batter was thick and burnt (25% black) after one mouth full that was enough, scraped it off and tried the fish and that was tasteless. So ate a few chips (fries) and threw most of it away. I wish I took a photo to post.
Sat down had a flat white and cappuccino between us and was excellent quality coffee. We both had the breakfast and the eggs were bright orange and bacon was cooked perfectly. The tables were clean and staff seemed very quick to clean tables.
