We came to Dimpsy’s today for the Indian special menu. It was delicious. Food was amazing and service was amazing. We have been here 10-15 times since the diner opened, every time the food has been exceptional with incredible service. We are gutted they are closing, and therefore it is a privilege for me to write this as their 50th five star review (look at all of the other reviews, they speak for themselves). Dimpsy’s Diner has been a joyful part of our life, we have made special memories here with our kids and even our doggo who comes with us. Good luck to Laura and the team, you are amazing, thank you for bringing the best delicious vegan food to Plymouth! Take care and all the best and thank you for an amazing final night.
We’ve been meaning to visit KYOWA for years, since they first opened, and finally did last night.
It was so worth the wait!
The food was spectacular, the service was impeccable and the place had a lovely vibe.
We didn’t book, but they were happy to give us a time to come back and we had a drink at the pub next door.
Everyone we spoke to, including the chef who is making and plating up food out the front, was so warm and friendly.
Can’t wait for our next visit! Thank you 💜

This is a specialist bar in spirits, particularly gin. The knowledge and expertise of the spirit are impressive. Within a short visit, we were given a tour in the massive field of gin and the right mixer to bring out the intricacies of each flavour. Comfortable lounge and garden area plus interesting discussion about gins. What's not to like. Must see.
The cafe looked clean and welcoming, so thought we would give it a try. The owner was very welcoming and had our coffees to us straight away. The triple scrambled eggs with added bacon on sour dough was excellent but its the owner that is the star, he was very down to earth, chatty and enjoys the interaction with his customers. Well worth a visit to this gem of a cafe on the doorstep of the barbican.
Fabulous place - a little hidden gem! Excellent food , great service & lovely atmosphere. Great to go somewhere that offers something a bit different- fantastic coffee. Avocado on hash browns was delicious! Good value - definitely going to return next time in Plymouth!
We like the bread and the snack food here, as well as the friendly staff and atmosphere inside and out. When we go it’s generally busy. Came down this Wednesday and saw the chalk board sign with new times Thursday to Saturday only. There was nothing about this on the website and we hope that it’s only temporary.
I’m not joking you, I have never in my entire life had a breakfast sandwich as good as the one here, food and drink wise this is probably my favourite place to go when I’m happy to have an unhealthy day, but even for a black coffee or something the vibes in here are excellent! Unfortunately it seems to be closed indefinitely, I really hope it’s not closing down because it would be a massive shame to put it lightly!
We went there for a special lunch today without a booking, but they were happy to fit us in.
The atmosphere was relaxing and the food was extraordinary. We had the mixed hot starters, which were delicious - especially the pastries filled with cream cheese.
The mussaka was gorgeous, and my mixed shish kebab was succulent and full of flavour, with the chicken and lamb both delicious. Friendly, helpful service, gorgeous food and a relaxing, nicely decorated space to eat it in.
Highly recommended
A family own street cafe. I give 4 because the services is attending, friendly ,helpful, and the cakes are very much continental with great flavour and kind of old fashion made .
