Lunch here with my daughter. Delicious! Who would think such a small kitchen can produce such great food? Good tastes, good value, fast service, lovely staff, what’s not to like. We had the veggie sharing plate, everything delicious. Unusual, at least to us. There’s meat too, for those who wish. Turkish tea can be very sweet? So if you don’t like that, just ask to dilute with water. Totally recommended.

First time here today and amazing food. Everything is homemade even the hummus and it’s beautiful. The lentil soup took me back to turkey. I will deffo be back. Well done tatuni x

After reading reviews, and after having my usual monthly Turkish haircut I decided to try a Turkish lunch. It didn’t disappoint. Warm, welcoming, clean and cosy. Service and staff are incredible, super friendly with old style hospitality. I plumbed for the 3 course lunch special (£13.95), portion sizes more than adequate The lamb wrap was plump, delicious, freshly cooked, served hot with their amazing hand cut chips & bowl of hummus The Turkish coffee; strong, sweet and full of flavour I plumbed for the baklava for dessert, while portion seemed small, its sweetness and richness made sure it was more than enough I opted for an additional cup of Cay; Turkish tea (pronounced chai) which again served piping hot and a great depth of flavour. Looks like I found my new monthly treat and will be a regular after my haircuts!! I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Had their fabulous wrap as a lunch deal, with a drink and dessert, everything totalled to £13.95!! Spectacular food for a near criminal price point, we loved it so much that we even tipped the restaurant. The lamb was succulent and juicy, well seasoned fries, most amazing baklava and fresh homemade cheesecake selection and decent selection for vegetarians too!

Absolutely incredible. Very calm, comfortable and clean atmosphere with amazing service, as well as absolutely insane food and insanely good prices. Heavily recommend coming here and definitely recommend some cheescake!!

Good food, freshly made but very pricey. We had a combo plater for two , but we hopped for a mix of meat choices and big portions. We had instead some mix of lamb and chicken pieces and some kind of flat meat balls supposed to be lamb and chicken kebab!? Also served half of pita bread and a very small pot of salad and two dips sauce. We liked rice as a side but they haven't and served a medium portion of chips, not enough for two , well cooked, tasty. The share plate for two cost £38 and to Dunya restaurant is the same price but double plate and very mixed, contains rice, cuscus,lamb ribs, lamb kebab, chicken and pepper kebab, chicken wings, marinated lamb ,marinated chicken breast. Also served with grilled tomatoes and big pot of mixed salad . Also they don't serve kids menu and a wrap costs £9,50 instead of £6 to bamo and is smaller. So we don't understand how a little eatery serving smaller portions and less diversified has the same prices as a very good restaurant, Dunya ,serving big portions and everything is very tasty and lovely. Also Dunya is a big restaurant with a lot of staff and definitely big rent and bills compared with a little eatery located in the market with only 3 staff !? The owner should understand the reality and adjust the prices or/and improve and diversified the dishes. We do like to support a small family business but would love to receive a nice meal at a decent price. We go often to Lisbon restaurant which is another family business and we love the food and decent prices . This is how they keep their customers and make them return for meals . We cannot pay the same amount of money as we pay to Dunya but to receive less food and less diversified. Also another restaurant in Collin Campbell car park called Air Pizza serving huge fresh tasty portions at very decent prices . For example, a big portion of chips and two big freshly made very tasty schnitzel cost only £15. Another restaurant with good prices and decent portions is Foodie on Cornwall Street. Tantuni is surrounded by many decent restaurants but keep selling small portions on big prices. PS We are not related in any way to Dunya , simply love to eat there ,just happy customers.

Easily one of the best value and tasty meals you can have in Plymouth. The staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly, and the food was absolutely divine. Can’t recommend this more highly, especially if you’re after a filling, but fresh lunch with lovely atmosphere.

Collected a takeaway this evening and it was delicious. Was my first time inside the new restaurant and it is lovely. I’ve been hoping for ages that Tantuni would open later of an evening so I was very excited about the market sunset openings over the summer! The wraps were super tasty and so were the chips. The cheesecake was amazing and a huge portion. It’s still incredible value and the staff are as friendly ever. Absolutely one of my top places to eat in Plymouth. Really hope their success continues 😊

Me and my wife stopped by this place and was very happy with what we had. Sharing platter of kebab meat with bread, was absolutely delicious. Staff were super friendly and were very quick with any requests. We had our dog with us who was welcome too, so that was a huge plus. Finished it off with some baklava and the best cheesecake I have ever eaten, unbelievably creamy! Will definitely be returning.

Great meal deal, you get a drink, wrap, home made chips and a delicious dessert I had white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake. the wraps are delicious I had a mixed lamb and chicken one. I highly recommend the staff are so friendly and lovely.

Today I enjoyed a succulent meal at Tantunis. I had previously visited the old smaller location and was eager to try the new restaurant. I was not disappointed! I had a lovely lentil soup and grilled fish. The prices were reasonable too. I will be back for sure!

Best lunch I've had in Plymouth for years! A really nice, calm atmosphere with even nicer staff. I'd highly recommend the baklava, or if you're after a full lunch the Halloumi and Hummus Tantuni wrap is a fantastic choice! The pomegranate tea was so tasty too. I'll absolutely be back! So many great food options in the market, and this is one of them.

We really enjoyed a nice lunch at Tantuni. We had the 3 small plates deal and baklava after and loved all of it! The owners were extremely nice and brought us free tea and it was a very cozy time and would definitely recommend it to everyone and will be going back! They are also dog friendly which is always a bonus!

Went here for the first time today to try the lunch deal. The food was incredible, what a gem of a place to visit. The owners and staff were very friendly too. We will be coming here again.

I had the mixed tantuni etap and my friend had the mixed grill, we both absolutely loved the food and how fresh it was. The chef prepared the food right in front of you and everything is very hygienic which was a very important factor for us. Very friendly staff and chef as well, highly recommend and will definitely pay regular visits!

Stopped by today for the first time for lunch. The food was all freshly prepared and delicious. Will definitely be returning soon.

Probably the tastiest freshly cooked wraps we’ve ever had and a very nice Turkish coffee. My wife and I really enjoyed our food and came back the next day for some takeaway cheese cake which was amazing. Prices very reasonable and pleasant surroundings 10/10

I visited tantuni with my young family, the atmosphere was cosy and friendly. We had the lunch deals plus some items from the children’s menu. Empty plates all around! We also had cheesecake, baklava and Turkish tea. All authentic and made from scratch. Cannot recommend this lovely place enough. The new premises is decorated beautifully too. We look forward to visiting again ☺️

Honestly , never really do reviews however good was unreal. I had a mixed grill and portion size was just right. Protein was cooked well and everything was stellar. Definitely coming back !

Everything was beautifully seasoned, and portion sizes are big - definitely won't be leaving here hungry! The meal deal is amazing value too.

This is more than just a restaurant, this a community hub. Everyone who comes here, loves it. The food is always brilliant, the meat is always super soft and juicy. Chips are seasoned with magic. The dips are banging, get the chill sauce …hot!!

Amazing food a lot of choices including gluten free and fish. This time we were very hungry so we were recommended combo for 2. We are definitely coming back next week for the Biscoff cheesecake. Thank you

I'm coming back for sure, my oh my, loved the food. The cheesecake alone! All the food was delicious, I love kebabs, and places like this are the reason I do. Mixed kebab, rice and fries. Tantini chicken wrap, chicken shish kebab, all of our group enjoyed. Then the devine cheesecakes, lush, love cheesecake anytime, these were one of my favourites for sometime. And nice baklava, which I'd never had till a few years back, now I have to have if it's within reach 😂 Yeah, superb meal. Thank you

Tantuni was always good venue in the market stall. Now it is within the building on New George Street it has far more room and comfortable seating. Food is still excellent cooked there and then from fresh.

A very cosy venue indeed! I popped in here with my family a couple of days after they opened at their new location and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious and homely. The portions were large and the value for money is good. The chips were spectacular. We tried each flavour of the baklava and it’s safe to say it is one of the best in Plymouth. A good variety of drinks also. We will be back without a doubt!

Delicious authentic Turkish food available from Tantuni’s new restaurant! The lunch deal is great value, we had a delicious smoky grilled halloumi and veg wrap with chips, and a pistachio white chocolate cheesecake which as a cheesecake connoisseur I can say confidently is pure HEAVEN. The topping is deliciously light and whipped. Don’t miss it! All washed down with Turkish coffee and caj (tea). Will definitely be back!

Don't for a second let the fact that this place is in the market put you off. Some of the best restaurants in Plymouth are now this end of town and this one is head and shoulders above the rest. Read the reviews yourself. The food is outstanding. Very reasonably priced and I imagine the location helps keep the costs down. Been visiting here for the last couple of years and every meal has been 10/10. Service is first class and the whole team are so polite and professional. The food is just outstanding and delivered to your table in no time at all. Love it!!

I can say that it is the best restaurant you can go to in Plymouth. First of all, if I have to start with breakfast, I definitely say that it is the best breakfast you will ever eat. I can say that the presentation and hygiene of the food is perfect. I tried all the dishes on the menu at different times. But my favorite was the chef's special and chicken kulbas. The most important thing is to use daily fresh products that are hygienic and that you can enjoy the food you eat. I definitely recommend you go.

Plymouth is so lucky to have so many fantastic places to eat now (especially in Plymouth market) that we really are spoilt for choice, but one that we come back to time and time again is Tantuni. The food is delicious, fresh and plenty of it to choose from. There is so much more of the menu we need to try but we always go back to the tantuni wrap which there is only one word to describe it and that is banging! The chips are also the best in Plymouth as well. The staff are lovely, always so welcoming and nothing is ever a problem and the value for money for the amount and quality of food you get is incredible, especially the meal deal (the cheesecake is also incredible along with the baklava). Tantuni really is one of Plymouth’s best and they deserve every success that comes their way!

The time for delivery kept changing due to having trouble getting a driver, but when they got a driver it didn't take long. Food could of been hotter but it was very tasty so can't complain too much.

Out of everywhere I’ve eaten in town this is the best place I’ve ever eaten at and definitely in my top 3 places for food in general, been coming here for around two years now and it’s never disappointed once, highly recommend to all people with good taste. Absolutely superb - had the £19.99 set meal for 2 between us and every mouthful was delicious. Then the Biscotti cheesecke with Turkish coffee - really shouldn't have but glad I did! :)

Had two amazing pastrami toasties with great sauces, both the salsa and the tzatziki were as good as each other. The chai tea was also very refreshing. The staff are also really friendly. Would highly recommend.

I saw this place recommended as one of the best places to eat in Plymouth so had to try it. Had the Turkish breakfast on a big sharing platter, everything was so fresh and flavoursome. Ample food, variety of cheeses. Definitely recommend popping in and giving them a try
