Lovely food, made vegan on request which was delicious, really tasty and Peggy was so lovely and welcoming and so happy. Highly recommend the whole experience. Compliments to the chef who was very talented. Thank you so much. Am definitely coming back in 4 weeks.

What a beautiful little restaurant! From being very warmly greeted with a smile and a genuine welcome to eating the most delicious food. I am sure this was the most tastiest crispy chilli shredded chicken I have ever had, and I’ve had this dish from MANY restaurants before! The tofu vermicelli was perfect too! We enjoyed every bite of our food and will absolutely be coming back. The atmosphere and customer service was second to none and this place deserves to be tried by all. Excited to work my way through the menu! 🫶🏼🤩

I have to say we went there for my boyfriends 18th and it was possibly the nicest food and staff we've come across in a long time. They went the extra mile to put a smile on our faces and wish my boy a happy bday. Honestly would go again and definitely will come for future dates. Such a lovely atmosphere, the wood was well worth the prices in my opinion, and very filling. I felt like I got my money's worth and I loved the atmosphere.

So glad we randomly chose this restaurant for dinner this evening ! Very polite staff, especially the boss lady Peggy ! She is just the best, so fun, so friendly and just a beautiful soul! The food was AMAZING ! So fresh, tasty and you could just tell it was prepared properly ! I can easily put this place on par with our favourite Chinese restaurant in China Town London! Definitely highly recommend this place !

Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the servers were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. I ordered the dumplings and chicken with black bean sauce, and wow – each dish was bursting with fresh flavors and cooked to perfection. The dumplings were tender and flavorful, and the chicken in black bean sauce had just the right balance of savory and spicy. Everything tasted so fresh, and the quality was evident. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots. Can’t wait to return!

I have made orders previously for delievery, 🚚 but having recently visited the restaurant since it's changed to a new location I feel compelled to write a review. 🗺 The restaurant is very bright,💡 clean, and very welcoming👋. A really nice atmosphere🐉 Greeted by Penny on arrival and Hue was briefly allowed out 🤣 from his busy cheffing duties to say hello 🍳. Food was divine, even my mother (hard to please ) 🙄was even impressed so much, she said next time we go for lunch we should re- visit. 😋We opted for the lunch menu, starter , drink and main for £12.50 which is an absolute steal. 💸There's no lack in quality or presentation even with this great offer in mind.🫶 Spring rolls were the best, mum wouldn't share her chow mein 🤣(to good to share) and the beef and mushroom main was a beaut! Full of flavour 🥰 We fully recommend and will be back. 💯 Can't wait to revisit and try something new on the menu. Thankyou for a lovely lunch 😋

I visited the Asian Noodle Bar for lunch today with my family, based on my son’s recommendation. He had mentioned it was one of the best Chinese restaurants in Plymouth, with high ratings on Google Reviews, and it certainly lived up to expectations. This Malaysian family-run restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and we were immediately impressed by the friendliness of the owner. Her hospitality really stood out. We started by ordering three authentic Chinese dishes, all of which were delicious. My son’s girlfriend particularly enjoyed the dumplings, noting how juicy inside they were. My son loved the beef stir-fry ho fun, and I was very pleased with the duck and vegetable soup with vermicelli noodles. For the second round, we tried two more dishes, one was a beef stew with potatoes, which the owner kindly recommended, and the other was a pork belly dish my son chose. Both were exceptional, but I was especially impressed with the richness of the beef stew. Throughout our meal, I noticed the owner greeting customers warmly, many of whom seemed to be regulars, which speaks to the restaurant’s strong reputation. The dining area was clean and well-kept, and I even noticed small details like the fire extinguisher being in place, a sign of attention to safety and regulations. Overall, we had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Asian Noodle Bar. For anyone looking for something different from the usual Sunday roast, this restaurant is a fantastic alternative. We left completely satisfied and will definitely return.

We ate here before a trip to TRP. Made to feel really welcome! Food was lovely and as a coeliac I was made very welcome and served a gluten free meal, recommended from the menu, of rice noodles with spring onions, chicken and prawns.

4 of us had platters as starter. Main courses were black beans beef, crispy chilli chicken, Kung Po chicken and king prawns with spring onions. Absolutely delicious. Our friends were very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. We will all go again with friends and family.

There is a lot of choice in this part of Plymouth, chose this as it looked welcoming, and it was a good decision. Service was good, very friendly, and we wertgiven space to enjoy our food. The food was particularly good, and everyone in our part commented on the quality. By no means the cheapest option, but worth it for the overall standard.

I dined here today and was thoroughly impressed. The edamame beans were fresh and a perfect start to the meal. The mixed vegetable fried rice was exceptional—full of authentic wok hei that gave it a flavorful depth. It was incredibly tasty. Overall, the taste of the food was excellent. Additionally, the service was prompt and the staff were responsive throughout my visit. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious food with authentic Chinese flavors and efficient service.

Just had the most fabulous lunch at Asian Noodle Bar. Proper authentic Chinese food with a few twists that work wonderfully. I judge a lot of Chinese Restaurants on their Hot n Sour Soup and this one was amongst the best. Peggy and Hui and simply superb. We will return and make this our 'go to' destination.

So visited fir the first time ,have to say the staff were just lovley and really friendly however we ordered Chinese dumplings and I was expecting hand made with different fillings but they were all the same and just like the dumplings you buy from the super market ,some dishes on the menu were not available which was a shame and tbe other dishes lacked flavour unfortunately. The prices also were extremely high ,felt more like a Chinese takeaway than a restaurant. Maybe pop down some table cloths and linen napkins to make the experience nicer .

I was very happy coming here for dinner. The service from the owner was warm and friendly and the food did not disappoint.

Went here for dinner yesterday the vibes were good and the service was really nice Ordered the kungpo chicken cubes and the shredded potato and it was sooo good. The chicken was soft and the shredded potato was perfectly sour and spicy. We did end up with a small mountain of chilli after finishing our food tho HAHA (Got too excited and forgot to take a pic of the kungpo chicken lol)

Very tasty and well presented food. Friends and I wanted some recommendations and dishes explained to us and the owner was absolutely lovely who went above and beyond to help us choose the perfect dishes. The Cumin Lamb was amazing and the half duck was very nice and moist (not dry like some places). We will be back! Thank you for a lovely welcoming evening.

Been coming to this restaurant since Peggy opened and I can honestly say it’s the best Chinese / Asian food we have ever had!! So fresh and authentic no where else in Plymouth serves Asian food at this level! It’s amazing! The owners are lovely and we love coming here to see them and help support their business! The chicken satay is stunning and crispy noodle basket with crispy pork was amazing! Duck was so tasty and tender and we always have a beef ho fun! Best ever!!!

Myself and my friend had the pleasure of having lunch here recently and the food was absolutely delicious. Really well priced lunch menu and free lemonade included. The host was wonderful, so polite, helpful and tentative and really made us feel welcome. Will definitely be going back again.

Got a takeaway and I had the chicken satay. The meat quality was bad and the sauce was not satay!! The sauce was just plain and boring chow mein sauce and they gave me peanuts to put on top... That is not satay!! Was very disappointed and was boring of eating it after a few bites.

Another wonderful takeaway experience! We ordered several dishes from the special meal menu, all of which had a very authentic Chinese flavour that left us craving more. Highly recommended!

We ordered a large takeaway. The quality of the food was average at best. A couple of the dishes were poor. Quality of the meat didn’t seem that great. I had squid as a starter and that was pretty decent though.

We visited this restaurant as a spur of the moment decision so hadn't booked but they were extremely accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and we were given some lovely recommendations. I know Asian food well having worked previously in a Chinese restaurant and I can say the food here was superb! Absolutely delicious, lovely fresh vegetables, tender meat, tasty sauces, a great mix of flavour with spices. We cannot wait to go back again, Peggy was so friendly and easy to chat to, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience this evening!

First time visiting Asian noodle bar , very friendly staff and owner nothing was too much trouble . This was the best Chinese we have had , beautifully presented and cooked. Reasonably priced. 2 of us had the lunchtime menu and 1 ate from the main menu , all dishes were tasty and plentiful. We will be returning.

Party of 6. Saturday night. Restaurant was about a quarter full. Around £20 per person(. £15.00 main.)Food was delicious. Drinks service was sporadic and served in a variety of different glass sizes. Very friendly service. Dishes also arrived a bit haphazardly. Excellent food let down by front of house not being as tight as it could have been. Happy to prepare dishes for a vegan in our party.

This place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in a side alley it is easy to miss. However....once upstairs...my partner, 11 year old daughter and myself were warmly welcomed.....the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was superb. The food was freshly cooked and arrived in less than 10 minutes....and it looked and tasted amazing. Yes its decor is dated....and it somewhat tucked away..... It just goes to show you don't need bright lights and huge signs to experience good fresh food. We will definitely be visiting here when we come up from Cornwall again.

What a hidden gem by the Barbican!!!. We felt so welcome and looked after, and the noodle dish our host (I’m so sorry we didn’t catch her name!!) recommended was the best dish I’ve ever had at a Chinese / Asian restaurant (char kway teow is my new go-to order!!!). Such a lovely place with delicious and authentic Chinese and Malaysian food, made and served with love. Thank you for the nicest dinner and experience (it was also so nice to meet you 😊).

Food was great, service and welcome superb. Menu offers much more than noodles and do not be put off by the exterior and menu displays - this place warrants a much better kerbside appeal and more customers than it had when we visted (albeit a Sunday night). Highly recommend the crispy prawns.
