The best restaurants serving Default food in Christchurch South West

We are on holiday and fancied some chips we had scampi and chips and pie and chips and the chips were disgusting they were over cooked and tasted like they had been cooked an hour ago nearly twenty pounds wasted it all went straight in the bin 🤮

Avoid, staff looked put out we even went in..no smiles... miserable uniterested waitress,told couldn't replace 1 topping on a pizza but could leave 1 off and charge for a different 1, small pizzas, disgusting toilets was horrified like at a train station, run down, can't even afford to give you breadsticks or a receipt told to use my phone to take photo of receipt, unbelievable and out the window opposite pizza express packed out ...can see why..sad and solemn atmosphere

We stayed for 2 nights, the room was very nice, spacious, clean & comfortable. We had roast dinners that were very tasty, good quality & generous portions. Would recommend a good place to stay.

the workers are really rude, and my kids got kicked out of the play are for ‘recording’ kids which they never even done! i was watching them in the play area, they did nothing wrong! i do not recommend this place!! 😡

Very poor portion sizes for the price. Need to wash hands in between using cleaning chemicals and handling food. Not impressed.

All good excellent fish and chips at a reasonable price cheerful staff good very reasonable place to eat use it a lot never had a bad meal

Excellent venue, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely roast and vast selection of drinks. The outside seating area is beautiful, we hope to return soon for some of the live music!

Chow mein was horrible, in a watered down bbq sauce. It should be in a rich gravy. The assorted balls were so doughy, sorry we didn’t enjoy it at all and it was £50

Frustrating it's closed to non hotel users. Drove 35 mins through traffic to get there! Just don't bother. However, I found a Pub 10 mins further down the road, cracking meal, much better value for money as well. "The sandpiper "

We came for a bottomless brunch and once again the service was amazing. Special thanks to Pam, Katie and Ethan. Jamie was once again working so hard to make sure everyone is happy and always has time to chat with us to make sure we are OK. He is a complete asset to the place and is always working his socks off. After holding our wedding reception here in 2023, we make sure to come back at least once a year and we have always been made to feel welcome. Can't wait til the next time. Thanks again Gemma & Elly

Rude staff, no individual portions of chips with our family feast just one awful box of chips, no bucket, just a bag of soggy greasy chicken, no forks for the coleslaw, no wipes, no salt in fact diabolical . Rang restaurant who were very unhelpful.. was likened to buying street food in a third world country..

Walked from Mudeford quay to here (which isn’t easy for my wife) after checking their website. Arrived at 3pm to have a cuppa & cake only to find they’d decided to close early, despite the website and bill-boards saying open till 4pm. Asked in the reception and they weren’t in the slightest bit interested. Won’t waste our time again.

I agree completely with other comments about being ridiculously overpriced. The fish I bought was on the scales for just a few moments and I think the guy actually just made up the prices. No prices are displayed on the counter. 3 scallops were over £6. I asked for a 1 person portion of hake and ended up with 350g at over £10. I wish I’d challenged at the time. They must rely on one-off tourist trade because they’d never survive from local repeat business. It’s a shame because I like to support independent fishmongers but will certainly not return when I’m next in area.

Delivery was prompt with a smile, food was outstanding & piping hot. Best Indian takeaway we have ever had, will definitely be ordering again from them, 10/10 👍👍

Not sure how I’ve managed the last few months during the impromptu shut down of the coffee shop. I work nearby and send all my clients here for the best coffee and service in a clean and inviting atmosphere. I also use the cafe daily for my lunch time coffee and occasionally lunch or a snack; sometimes with friends or colleagues. All the staff in Waitrose Christchurch are wonderful but particularly Graham makes my day with his warm welcome, unrushed but efficient service and gorgeous soya lattes. The average age of resident in xchurch is 65 and it should not come as a surprise that any supermarket offering cafe services is a particular draw to our residents. Please don’t close down again!
