McDonald‘s in Christchurch

Nice local drive-thru McDonald's - called in late night when I got the munchies the other week...stays open late!

Possibly one of the nicest and cleanest MacDonalds I've been to. Staff were friendly and well presented, restaurant was clean (as we're toilets) and food was prepared and presented well. We went in just after 12noon and the restaurant was very busy but even given that, it was very enjoyable. I will be going back.

It is what it is. You get what you expect and pay for. What more do you want.

Fast food we wished we had avoided. First McDonald's in a while. Now I know why I don't eat it. What exactly is in your chicken nuggets coz it sure as hell doesn't taste like chicken. Revolting. Hamburgers are so tiny now. It may be fast food but it's not healthy or edible.

Great location for convenience. Food and beverages as one would expect at McDonalds. Plenty of free parking and friendly staff.

They never get orders right when you order delivery and they always leave out straws try and phone them and you can never get through

Gave me an old milkshake from another customer and always take forever in the evening, worse McDonald's in the local area for sure

I was eating here with my partner and with one of my parents and someone making the burgers messed up my partners order and put cheese in it when they clearly said not to add it at all so then my partner returns the burger to the counter but the customer service helper was really rude to him and he basically only asked for his burger to be correct it took the staff nearly 10 mins to serve him then another 5 mins to get it replaced but when he got the new burger they didn't put the bacon in the new one so I'm very disappointed in this place and everyone was just straight grumpy awful and seriously bad customer service we are never eating here again and be let down by the same unit you've lost a local customer no so enjoy us not helping you guys with wages

Really, McDonald's here in retail park. Nice looking restaurant. The service was excellent and friendly. What has happened to the size of sausage egg mcmuffin. It's Luke a bit size burger for £4.69. I put a tomato sauce next to show the size. Prices going up, size getting small.

I WILL NEVER EAT AT A MCDONALD'S AGAIN!!!!!!! They once was a great burger place and now they are not Overpriced for cold, wed and soggy food,. I ordered 2 burgers, fries 🍟 and a drink. The cold drink was hotter then the food.... No flavour to it, the fries were cold and floppy, no crisp to them at all, no seasoning either. The burger again was cold and not living up to hot holding regulations. The bacon was wet and cold, too All in all I would recommend not eating here, they clearly have no clue how to run the place and serve proper food. What a waste of money because I put the most of it in the bin........! Update to review..... Went in for breakfast and it was Absolutely appalling. The bacon and egg muffin looked nothing like the picture, it has shrunk, it was cold and not very well cooked. Took one bite and all I felt was egg shell bits of it was in the food. It was that bad I put it in the bin.

Delivery is shocking. Food turns up stone cold and chips really soggy. That's if you're lucky and don't delivered the complete wrong order. No way to complain or request refund for an inedible dinner, waste of money.

Quite unfortunate as ive never had problems in the past with this store , had the worst drive thru experience as they were so slow and would not listen to specific requirmemts for my order especialy getting my drinks wrong and charging me for a large meal when i had asked for a medium. Very dissapointed with the customer service as staff memeber seem to not wanna be there. Do better macdonalds!

A fairly typical McDonald's, with the usual menu items you'd expect. Fries were a bit undercooked.

First time going. As good as it can be. Pleasent and clean considering where it is and how busy I've been told it gets.woild go again

the workers are really rude, and my kids got kicked out of the play are for ‘recording’ kids which they never even done! i was watching them in the play area, they did nothing wrong! i do not recommend this place!! 😡

If I could give 0 I would. Lucky if you l get what you ordered (even when quiet), slow, food often just about edible and staff are the rudest I’ve ever encountered. I’ll take a 10min extra journey just to visit a different franchise now. Maybe the franchise owners need to take a look at their reviews.

Brilliant, made me fat. Would recommend 100kg now, making that fighting weight.

Used drive through, SO SLOW !! Sit waiting for someone to take your order for ages ! Handed coffees in a cup holder even thought I asked them not to because my car is lower than the window. They ended up tipping them into my car with the lid coming off one. !! Fuming ! Cheeseburger had a really strange taste. Couldn’t eat it. Just a bad experience!

Only problem with McDonald's is they still haven't learnt how to serve a hot burger. How hard is is to cook a burger and walk it 15 yards to the table before its cold

Good was good but the staff were really friendly and great either clearing and cleaning tables as each diner left. Also quick to open baby change bathroom when I asked.

Worst McDonald's ever, 20 minute wait for two cheeseburgers

So slow, waited in drive thru for 24 minutes

Really slow. Waited in the drive through for over 20 minutes with only 2 cars infront of us. The cheeseburger had a weird taste and couldn't be eaten and the chicken nuggets werent great.

Suppose to be 24h website and google says open on a Sunday why is it closed, I come out my way on night shift to purchase food!

Absolutely shocking. Went to the drive thru window. Ordered very quick then sat at the food window for 10 minutes with no one even speaking to us. The drinks were well below the line and the food was mediocre at best. We will most definitely not be returning to this branch after dark as I hope it’s just because it’s quiet.

Slowest Mac store I've been to. They always move your order to the collect screen but it won't be ready, suspect this is just for their metrics, makes them look quicker than they are in the system. Expect to wait, especially in the morning.

It's our third time going to Mcdonald in 27 years. But I would go again. You need to ask for them to unlock the disabled toilet door. As able bodied people have smashed it up.

Bought five meals and ended up with no hash browns for any of them and requested one without cheese due to allergy and ended up with everyone with cheese. The staff looked miserable

I have ordered from this restaurant a few times. It appears that someone is incompetent reading an order. Always forgetting items and not being able to cook properly the fries overdone. You pay a service fee for terrible service. And now gotta contact Uber and try and find something else for my tea

Popped into McDonald's to pick up some food 4 boxes of nuggets and 2 happy meals paid on card and get to the next window. greeted by a rely polite worker she's no more then 20 years old. With my order I asked for 20 sources 5 per box. The the shift manager comes over and takes the bag of sources slams it on the table tells the young girl off and starts to argue with me about the amount of sources she's aloud to give out I said mate my orders nearly £30. He's there laughing at me thinking it's all fun and games. I requested a refund he's said no after 15 mins of arguing I give him back the food and finally get a refund it makes me think I serve in the British Army for what so people like this can Argue over how many 11p sources you can give out. The amount of service personnel that stop and eat at these place join commutes home from camp to courses etc to be greeted by an idiot like this. Who would not last 15 mins doing my job. If any one from the store reads this you need to speak to the shift manager. Reference how he speaks to his team members and customers. Franchise has been contacted. Hope the Soure super hero does not give someone the food I handed back.im sure he's probably re-heated it. Visit was 14th

After returning our chips & complaining about how cold black & soggy they were ( like been taking out of a dustbin!) the manager shouted & told us to get out & he recognised my number plate & I’m always going there complaining! Not true I have never complained! That was my 3rd time there (no problems before) . He did not let me speak & when I said I’d phone his head office as I do not want my money back i thought he might want to know what was being served! He laugh & told me to go ahead! So I did & do you know what, they weren’t interested! I’m done with mc Donald’s for good ! Be aware if you use this mc d’s you have what you’re given & like it no matter how bad or where it’s come from ! Disgusting behaviour!

First time eating here, looks really clean. Food was hot when it got to me but the side hash brown looked like it got a bite taken out of it so didn't eat it. I ordered a tea but didn't get given any sugars or milk

A seemless and fun dining experience (with a 2 & 4 year old) doesn’t seem heard of however, this particular Mcds made it happen. We ordered from the table using the QR code and App (easy) a lovely lady handed us some kids crayons and balloons (to keep us parents quiet 😉). Whilst the kids ran riot in the restaurant 😂. The food was delivered swiftly, fresh and warm. At the end, the lovely lady returned to clear up the carnage on the table us parents had made🤦. We all left with a happy smile. Also loved how my mobile had auto connected to O2 WiFi as the mobile signal was pretty poor there. All in all a win win. So big thanks To Ronald McDonald. 👌 for enabling us to keep the kids quiet for 30 mins 🤪

Horribly mismanaged location, I've had nothing but problems whenever I ordered a delivery from here, either not getting my food, 1h+ waiting times, and wrong items. I do not fault the employees as the food comes out good but service reads like incredibly poor management.

The best mcdondald on the area. Much quicker service and food always cooked well and hot. Choose this over Somerford

Just been down to order some food to find one of our burgers missing out of the order just checked the receipt to see if it was a mistake made by the person serving, but it states on there what I ordered to find it not in the bag when opened, not the first time this happened

Please stop asking for surveys. I gave up on the thing at page 10 I just don't care. Its almost like the lobby staff are on bonus to get reviews in. but the survey never asks for the lobby person name and how many people are called Debbie?

Do not order from this store for delivery. They cannot get simple orders correct. On two occasions recently I have had items missing and the rest of the items turning up cold. Don't waste your money on deliveries from here.

Good place to pop in for a quick bit. Parking is not always easy, but given what it is, this is to be expected.

I ordered from this store via JustEat. 1 hour after ordering my food, I hadn’t received any sort of update other than what was displayed on the JustEat app, which said “ Preparing your order, your courier is waiting at the restaurant “. I assumed that maybe the store was just really busy so I was happy to remain patient. Another hour passes and I still haven’t received my food or any update. I had to chase the store, and was met with a colleague who’s customer service was shocking. She told us that we won’t be receiving our food as they are having trouble with JustEat drivers. We were told to just call JustEat and they will sort it. We contacted JustEat but had to wait for a response as it was via their app. We ordered food from somewhere else as we were clearly not getting the food we had ordered from this store. An hour later, so 3 hours after I made the original order, the JustEat app updates and says that this store are again, preparing our food. Obviously I’d already eaten by now, but was happy to take the food that I had ordered. The food arrives, and it is all stone cold. The milkshake was warm, the chips were soggy etc. It was quite obvious to me that this was the food we ordered 3 hours ago, that had clearly been sat on the side to go cold. I called the store and asked to speak to a Manager. A lady comes on the phone. I explained politely that I’d spoken to them an hour prior to ask where my order was, and the food was eventually sent out to me. However I wasn’t happy atall with the food that I had received, I explained that I believed the food I’d been sent, was the food that I was meant to receive 3 hours ago. All I got in response to my explanation, was this Manager telling me I needed to contact JustEat again. This problem wasn’t with JustEat, it was with the food that the store themselves had provided me with. When I explained to this Manager a second time that I believed the food sent to me was from 3 hours ago as it was stone cold and inedible, she simply hangs up the phone on me. Absolutely disgusting service, no accountability or apology. I would be ashamed to have Managers like this representing your business in stores. I work in Customer Service as a Manager and I wouldn’t dare treat any of my customers the way I’ve been treated today.

My visit to your McDonald's on Barrack Road in Christchurch today was nothing short of remarkable. The staff, particularly Debbie, with her vibrant pink hair, exuded warmth and efficiency. The restaurant was impeccably clean, a testament to Debbie's dedication to maintaining a spotless environment. Her customer service skills were exemplary, making me feel valued and appreciated. She is a true gem, an indispensable asset to your establishment. My overall experience at your McDonald's was exceptional, far exceeding my expectations. I will undoubtedly be returning soon, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience. Rating: A resounding 6 out of 5 stars.

Standard McDonald's, they're all pretty similar. It has a drive-thru and plenty of parking. I've only generally been in the evening where it's often quieter, but have had good service and good food ! They have a good amount of seating indoors (but I can imagine it gets busy during peak times), plus I generally prefer to takeaway. And toilet facilities are available for customers too.

I'm Gf. Had the smallest bacon,egg,hash brown! Bought my own roll. So expensive!

Had a click & serve meal, assistant was very friendly and accommodating with our order.

Excellent facility & convenient.

Great quality of food, good atmosphere, friendly, professional and well trained staff. Free car park. Also good and quick drive through and pick and collect service.

I had an accident on the way to collect my food, the staff were very kind and friendly and the manager patched me up in minutes, needless to say i was back on my bike with my order in no time. Thank you McDonald’s team you know who you are x

Went in at 1 am after work, got food for takeaway and got home with everything still hot and well prepared! What else could you want from Maccy D? Got one happy costumer :)

Best tasting, looking and quality Maccers I've ever had and I've had them in 4 countries. No idea what it is but it just tastes better here!

Had to wait longer than any of the cars that came behind, just to be given the wrong order! Definitely won’t come back.

Clean and bright atmosphere. Decent food and quick service. There were many children there expressing their delight as one would expect. We sat in the room with the kids for the party vibe. I didn't get a balloon nor a hat but that didn't spoil my meal.

Terrible, the manager ( tattooed neck) is super rude. We were delivered someone else’s order so drove to store to exchange for correct order. Only to be treated in a really rude & unhelpful manner. So I’ve had to pay for the same order twice. Terrible, terrible customer service
