Silver Ripple in Christchurch

Chow mein was horrible, in a watered down bbq sauce. It should be in a rich gravy. The assorted balls were so doughy, sorry we didn’t enjoy it at all and it was £50

I haven’t ordered from Silver Ripple for around 30 years. It was fresh not greasy and very tasty. Really good cooked perfectly. Was dubious of going back somewhere after soo many years. Really pleased I did. Enjoyed by my whole family including the young grandchildren. Would definitely recommend.

Not a problem only slighty late but i was informed. Food was great

Both were bad all night after eating Special curry beef was bad, beef chow mein was bad, chips were awful, both myself and hubby were ill after eating, really greasy, extremely disappointed after looking forward to it and spending £47! Put us off going back, really disappointed and unhappy

I can't rate any lower than a 1. Food was bad, we were both ill all night after eating, beef chow mein beef was bad, tasted smokey, dry and burnt, special curry beef was bad, chips were awful. We are definitely put off eating from here again, threw most of it away, cost £47 EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and VERY UNHAPPY

not impressed as it was stone cold by the time it got here, so had to reheat it, quality has gone downhill

Late , missed first time slot then added another 20 mins onto time and missed that too !!!!!! Don’t order if you want your food the same day !

I think I got 1 bit of the order wrong as I was meant to order stir fried mushrooms and water chestnuts, but apart from that the order was good, the only small thing was they forgot the tub of sweet and sour that comes with the prawn balls.

Smoked chicken was just sugary batter and the singapore rice had no spice no flavour and 2 prawns and 5 peas in it. Very disappointing.

The food was good - but I ordered beef with green pepper and got a white meat, either pork or chicken. It would have been nice if it had been what I wanted.

Ordered on a Sunday evening on just eat. Took just over an hour to come and was fairly hot. The cheapest in the area but you get what you pay for. The special set for 1 is a bargain. Cheap and cheerful!

Ordered food from Just Eat which was never delivered. Tried contacting the restaurant 20 times and was either left ringing, hung up on or engaged. On the Just Eat app it said my food was ready to eat so it was marked as delivered when it wasn't. Silver Ripple stole money from me. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The fact they can be on the phone but will not answer customers is a farce. Thieves.

Usually excellent but tonight an hour late and food had been sitting a while as all was dried up. Very disappointed.

I'm disgusted my order did not arrive I've tried calling the restraunt but the aren't answering the phone I'm now having to wait for a refund

got told it will be here 7:40-8:00 and I'm still waiting now, it's half 8! really not happy.

Great service as always would like to say sorry that no one answered the door my mum is hard of hearing and I managed to catch the driver after work.

Hot fresh tasty and the ribs the best Chinese takes ribs I have ever had

Truly terrible experience. Ordered and paid through Just Eat, yet the guy delivering demanded cash, shouting and swearing at us (a group of girls!!) and threatening to not leave until he gets the money. We called the restaurant to tell him to leave or we would call the police - manager was not apologetic, and still wouldn’t confirm either way if there was a payment problem. Food wasn’t the best either… small portions and so cold as he had taken so long to find us and then shout at us for ten minutes. Not sure if this problem lies with Just Eat or the restaurant directly but very unprofessional to say the least and wonder if this has happened more than once.

The noodles in the chow mien have changed! They used to be the best but now they are terrible, thought it was a one off last time I ordered but clearly not.

Our favourite Chinese! We’re quite fussy and they always follow what we ask. Best quality Chinese. We moved further away and delivery has gone right up but we’d rather pay that than get a Chinese elsewhere!

After reading some of the reviews, I wondered what I might get! However, the Tom Yum soup was light on solid matter and was predominately a rather peppery Bouillon. Lamb with ginger a spring onion was very acceptable, with plenty of lamb. Would certainly go again, but not as first choice. Whole place could do with smartening up, abd the outside needs a paint.

been ordering from here for atleast 13years, recently the quality has been terrible. I'm very disappointed. watered down sauces and burnt rice... the girl on the phone was very polite though.

Loved the food so tasty and a brilliant choice. Live the small meals too so my youngest can get a great meal too love the beef curry and egg fried rice the duck is delicious and th3 noodles are just the best. Really well priced as well. Lovely touch giving me a few chicken balls 😉. I know it's unlikely to be the same owners but I've been coming here for 40 years.

Had the chicken curry and the chicken was tasteless, however the chicken balls and rice were lovely and so was the delivery driver .

The chicken balls were so pale and doughy they were inedible. The rice was freezing cold in the centre of the tub, which concerns me about how fresh it is or if it’s being heated correctly. The soup I ordered was insanely salty. We’ve ordered for years but stopped the last few months so decided to order as a treat, it’s a shame how downhill it has gone
