Best Chinese in Christchurch and surrounding area! Best crispy chili beef. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered omelette and chips omelette fine chips awful rang to complain he did not seem to bother when I pointed out their ar other takeaway. Did say would knock £2 off next order don't think I bother.

Awful food. Slimy and old veggies, texture of pva glue. Refused a refund

Really disappointing food and service. Ordered a vegetable chow mein and the vegetables were wet and tasted old. The Chinese curry was slimy with the texture of pva glue. Totally inedible. I called back to tell them I wasn't satisfied with the order and I was completely shut down and denied a refund.

Stayed down in dorset fishing with friends-I neighbour suggested this Chinese takeaway...-The lady serving us was wonderful...as for the food...where do I start...pork dumplings were tastless with a malt vinager dipping sauce if that what it was with sliver of ginger...one friend had ordered chicken balls but got battered soggy chicken strips with a tastless sweet n sour sauce... Other friend had beef curry and fried rice again not very good...😏 Real shame as we all had been on the bank fishing most of the day and was looking forward to a recommended Chinese for dinner. I know everyone has different tastebuds but.. I wouldn't waste your money or time if am honest.

I love this place. I moved out of Christchurch for a while and as a child this used to be my favourite Chinese food place. 10 years later it hasn’t disappointed. Better than any other Chinese I can guarantee. Lovely service and lovely people too. Big bold flavours and completely immaculate. Will be coming again! See you guys soon! :)

Very good. I live in Ferndown and pick up from here because it is better than any I have found so far. One of the main ways I judge a Chinese is by the stir fried vegetable dishes and with jade I found them to always be fresh with plenty included with the mixed veg.

This is my favourite Chinese takeaway in my area that delivers to me in a hour but when it's closed unexpectly other chinese takeaway food is a complete let down. Chips are so nice here they come hot tasty and filling. Sausages are tasty with lots of flavour. King prawn with mixed veg and they add more chinese mushrooms as they are so delicious the sauce it tasty and it always comes hot never cold. Bolied rice is tasty with enough flavour plus it comes hot never comes cold or sticky. Curry sauce is different each time I just hope it's not spicy on the night I order. Pork or chicken balls are delicious. Negative Sweet and sour sauce needs improving with less vinegar. Pancake rolls need more meat in and less oily. I'm sorry to say but I love and miss thin tasty noodles but they don't sell them in this Chinese takeaway that tastes nice to me. I haven't found a chinese that sells tasty noodles since I left my home town in 1999 from Pearl River in Andover. Which I have visited and tried not long ago and even they don't sell these noodles anymore which is so sad and a waste must of been lost with the chef. For some reason noodles come overly salty thick oily brown and just tastes horrible. Instead of thin tasty white a little bit crispy and just moreish. Plain rice with scrambled eggs is yummy comes hot and tasty but you have to order it like this as egg fried rice comes brown as they use soy sauce I like white rice with egg.

Fantastic food, friendly people and very well priced for their portions compared to any other Chinese I have found in the Christchurch, Southbourne, Pokesdown, Boscombe area (yes I do love a great Chinese!!)! Highly recommend!!! :-)

Our takeaway was terrible. I never thought I’d have such a poor horrible, slimy chow mien from a Chinese . The chicken in black bean sauce was plumped chicken. There was no green pepper. In fact there was no freshness to the whole meal. Waste of money

Just had our first Chinese meal since we moved here to Christchurch from last September. So glad we did. Read all the previous reviews before ordering and it came highly recommended. It was superb!! Delicious, tasty, full of flavour, and fresh. The customer service was good and the delivery. We don’t often have take away, but was special occasion so we will definitely be ordering from them again. We have so much left over too. Thank you Jade Orchid excellent!!

This food is goooood!!!! My parents have been coming here for years and highly recommended it. I have danced around many in the Christchurch and Southbourne area and I can happily agree with Ma&Pa!! Absolutely lovely!! Well worth a try!!

Ate from here 3 times over xmas, fast and friendly service with competitive prices the foods pretty consistent I had the chicken chilli strips and beef with vegetables with mini veg spring rolls enjoyable meals everytime, one of the nicer Chinese takeaways in the area

This used to be an excellent Chinese Takeaway. Having not used them for nearly a year we thought we'd have a New Year's Eve Treat for the whole family. This consists of 4 people. Firstly our delivery took over 2hrs 30mins. We ordered 2 chicken & sweetcorn soup which were ok. 2 x Sweet n' sour chicken balls & a swap for curry sauce. Curry sauce never arrived. Chicken balls greasy & tastless & massively reduced in size. Yuk. Plain chow mein & a beef chow mein & chicken fried rice & prawn crackers. The beef chow mein had zero flavour just greasy & smothered in fat. Utterly disgusting. The plain chow mein was no different. As for sweet n' sour sauce, it was like drinking neat vinegar, disgusting. Sadly this is now a Takeaway we will not use again or recommend to anyone.

We've been using this take away for 9 years now it's family run ,it's very clean the food is very plentiful and good.tonight we had sweet and sour prawn balls(one of our favs) lovely crispy batter and large prawns,chicken curry and fried rice,they always send crackers and fortune cookies which is lovely.we had our meal delivered it came within the time given it was really hot and the man who delivered was friendly and polite.always helpful and efficient from the person who takes the order to the person who delivers .I thought it was time to give them credit for all the good mea l s we've had

This is the first time using jade orchid fir a delivery take away it cane 15 mins late but it came hot with a nice polite delivery person. Noodles, egg fried rice, sweet sour sauce, chicken balls, I'm sorry to say wasn't very nice and won't be having again as rice was brown, noodles was too thick, sweet sour sauce was to vinegary, chi Ken balls too dry which didn't taste nice. Peking ribs are yummy tasty with tender meat, pork balls yummy, curry sauce was the best I've tasted ever, chips were hot and tasty, prawn crackers tested yum too, pancake rolls are yummy to tasty moist with out the spice that burns my mouth out. We had a nice surprise of 3 fortune cookies never had one before which was nice.

I can not say that was the best food ever, but it was exactly what I needed. Still better to cook them myself, but when I am out of time, this seems like a good deal. We ordered four different things and all of them were okay. We will order again sometime.

I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for a good year and one time, I got food poisoning from the chicken balls. I rang them back up and they gave me my money back which was fair play, respected them for that. Just tried to order again now (giving them another chance basically) and they won’t take my order because they “won’t take the risk”.

Eaten food from Jade Orchid for some years and the food has been consistently good. I do find that sometimes the food turns up at our door rather too quickly suggest that is not cooked to order. Bu otherwise no complaints,

My first Chinese take away since moving here. Long journey home really fancied Chinese. The chicken chow mein was very greasy. Special fried rice was a brown soggy consistency with hardly any pork, prawns etc visible. The mushroom foo yung was tasty with a lot of mushrooms.

On a recent visit to Christchurch we decided to get Chinese from Jade Orchid takeaway. They cooked the food fresh while we waited and the children could play with the toy cars they have in the waiting area. I couldn't fault Jade Orchid at all and the prices were very reasonable. The best Chinese we've ever had and the staff were so friendly! Highly recommend!!

We've been getting food for years from here. The latest we had was sweet and sour pork balls, the starter with prawn toast and veg rolls, chilli beef, beef chow mein and the chicken satay with peanut sauce,. I can honestly say in maybe 20 years ....(it might be more) we have not had a bad meal from here. Always good service. Really tasty food and good value for money.

As visitors to the area we were recommended this restaurant by our hosts. The meal was good value and ready quickly. The food was lovely; not greasy but with lots of flavour. Generous portions, the plastic lids barely stayed on! Glad we took our hosts advise and visited.

Had a take ouy delivered to Meadowbank caravan park. The food was superb. The service was fast. I had special curry with egg fried rice. My friend had chicken in oyster sauce bot dishes were fantastic.

On the positive side huge portions the negative was overcooked meat on all the dishes and all the dishes were extremely bland. Will definitely not be returning

Have been getting Chinese from here for years . Our favorite Chinese In my area and reasonably priced. Do the best BBQ sauce and huge chicken balls... Only criticism is that sometimes they go really over the estimated time of delivery.

Never had a bad dish, they look like they don't use any colouring so dishes may not look as you expect but boy do they taste good.
