Have been a fan for a long time, but no longer. Takeaway was truly painful. Delivered wrong order, then it was picked up and delivered cold original order with missing items, then this was picked up and delivered identical order with missing items, then subsequently delivered missing items. 4 deliveries to get our order right! It was a joke, and after being treated with suspicion from the restaurant and treated with suspicion from the delivery driver when we had spent nearly £90 was ridiculous. We just wanted what we had ordered without having to call a restaurant 4 times to fulfill. Last order with them unfortunately.

Yet again, smashed it. Fresh, hot, fast & extremely tasty. Love their smoked chicken.

Even those the waiters didn't look old enough to shave, the service was excellent... the Food, wow... so good, we indulged with the hors d'oeuvres for two, piping hot and delicious... there's a reason restaurants like this survived the covid pandemic... you can't top perfectly prepared dishes like these. 5 Star overall.

Best Chinese I've had for years! All the dishes were perfectly cooked and the meat was very tender. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely come here again.

Another spectacular meal at our favourite Chinese. We visit the area 3-4 times a year and Dragon Palace is top of our list for places to eat. The food is great. The service lovely. It’s also great value. Tonight we did the all you can eat menu. Mixed starters. Duck Pancakes then an assortment of mains including stir fried mushrooms which are mouthwatering. We were served by the lovely Amber tonight who was pleasant and chatty as well as attentive. We’ll be back soon.

Myself and my family ordered a takeaway from here in a group 9. We questions when we rung up to order to try to judge how much to order and the person who we spoke to and helped ensure we didn't over order. We ordered a range of dishes including crispy aromatic duck, beef in black bean sauce, chow mein etc. The food was really tasty and seemed good quality. I would definitely recommend.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had the "eat as much as you like" menu. There were a lot of choice of dishes, including lots of vegetarian options. The service was very good, I could not fault it at all. The staff were very attentive and polite. They always made sure we were topped up on food and drink. In terms of value for money, I would say you can't get much better than this. We will definitely be coming back!

Good tasty food, but my beef chow mein could have done with more meat.

Great went on my birthday filling satisfying great price £29 95 as much as you can eat delicious .

Was slightly disappointed in how salty the food was especially their satay chicken. I would advise trying what they produce before I goes out for delivery.

Read Google reviews to pick this evening meal. Car park round the back. Chicken, beef, spring rolls, sweet and sour, beef cashew nuts. Very nice. Coffee and chilled water. Service was very good. No rush and talk to you, ask where your from, small chat. Enjoyed the evening.

Super quick and polite service. Lovely staff, all very kind and welcoming. Food came super quick!! And was absolutely delightful. The all round starter was beautiful! The smoked chilli chicken was absolutely astounding. Each bite I took, I ascended. I shared my meal with my sister, and my favourite dish was the crispy shredded beef. Each mouthful of this heavenly dish brought me to Jesus. I cannot stress enough, how much this restaurants food delights me, and brings me joy. Thank you all at the Dragon Palace in Christchurch for bringing such peace and happiness into my day. 10/10 would recommend.

Had a lovely meal here last night. Old school vibes inside the restaurant but the food was tasty and the staff were very attentive. The noodle dishes and bean curd we had were fabulous. Great time we will be back!

Had a lovely evening, well worth a visit. I think a new member of staff served us as he didn't know much about the food and we had to keep asking for drinks etc. The lady manager was a great help

I love taking pictures of food but the below pic is the only thing I managed to take yesterday - the food was that good that we didn’t have time to take anything else 😜 The service was absolutely amazing, so friendly and polite. The lady serving us (I think she was the owner) was chatty, polite, checking if we were ok and if we need more food. Food was pipping hot and a proper Chinese style - small bowls served so that we can share, hot water on the table to clean hands, dipping sauces etc… We all loved it. I think it must have either changed hands or the landlady took it firmly in her hands. We will definitely return soon, it was a great evening!

Absolutely awful! Service was terrible and had to listen to the waiters drilling holes in tables just next to where we were eating! And then had them hovering around people and manager was extremely rude to her staff!! Will never eat there again

Went here New Years Eve. Served by Ophelia who was so helpful as I'm a Coeliac and she went out of her way to check Allergens for me.

I ordered a takeaway from Dragon Palace on January second. I ordered and paid and was told my order would be delivered in around 50 minutes, after an hour and 10 minutes I called to see where my order was, only to be told they’d cancelled it, they’ve now got my money and it’ll be 3 days before I get it back, also it’s now pretty late and I’ve got to find somewhere else for food, cheers guys!

We visited as a family on Christmas Eve. The food was excellent and we thought the buffet was good value. Very generous portions and really is all you can eat. Service was friendly and we were made to feel welcome. Cash and cards accepted. A lovely way to start our Christmas celebrations.

We regularly use Dragon Palace as the best takeaway in Bournemouth, but how times change. This was the worst we've ever had so greasy and almost inedible. My wife's vegetable dish had one small piece of broccoli and one mushroom. Absolutely terrible meal and the last we will ever have from this restaurant. We know the ownership may have changed over the years but it's such a shame that a good restaurant should go so far so in the rankings.

Nice menu with £25 anything on menu option (bit extra on Fridays). Duck and pancakes very good! Parking on front or in roads opposite

Ordered a takeaway 1.5 hours ago still no signs it’s on its way aparently was told it would be up to 45mins when ordered crap service,won’t use again

Food is amazing. One of our favourite Chinese restaurants. Love the eat all you can menu, a lot to choose from.

This place is a hidden jem, food is amazing and the staff are really friendly.

In my humble opinion, this is the best bloody Chinese in U.K. Whether selecting one of the set menus (C is our favourite) or partaking in the all you can eat offer, the food is excellent. The staff are so friendly. Service is prompt without feeling rushed in anyway. Some prawn crackers on arrival with some yummy dip. Drinks orders taken once seated. The all you can eat offer is superb value and no loss of quality at all. One of the daughters recommended the Malaysian King Prawns - they were delicious. I would also recommend the mushrooms as a side dish. Every time we visit the New Forest we come to Dragon Palace. Thank you for many lovely meals and evenings.

The good and service was excellent! My favourite part was the ALL Taylor Swift playlist! What a perfect playlist! 100% will go again

Every time we holiday in new forest (4x a year), we visit the dragon palace at Christchurch. Sometimes we have a set menu, sometimes we do the “all you can eat” menu which is great value. The mixed starters are yummy. Followed by crispy duck with pancakes. Then mains as chosen until you can’t eat any more. Try the fried mushrooms!! And the beef in peking sauce. We had another fantastic meal in a friendly atmosphere with great service. Thank you and we look forward to coming back in august.

Not a very pleasing tasting experience having revisited this place again after a good few years, the starters were very unsatisfying as everything seemed to come out coated in batter and the sesame prawn was overcooked, the prawn crackers looked like they had seen better days as they were a funny yellowish off putting colour, the mix veg and chicken with cashew nuts was coated in some sort of slimey gloopy tasteless sauce that looked revolting, then they had the audacity to slap on an extra 10% charge for bringing out lacking in quality dishes, i will Definately Not be Returning!!

Food was nice, but be warned, they add a service charge of 10% onto the bill! Paid £93 for myself and 2 children for a standard all you can eat meal. Far too expensive.

Miserable staff messy floors cheap paper table cloths, food was average,not cheap especially when they try to over charge you and then have a cheek to charge a 10% service charge. Would not recommend Dragon Palace and it’s no surprise I was the only in there.

Firstly, we called up to book a table and we spoke to them twice and when we got there was told that we hadn’t booked. Staff were very rude and made us feel uncomfortable like we had done something wrong. All were miserable and it was a very strange vibe. Very over priced and the food was not great at all. Will not be returning. Please don’t waste your money!!! If you want to be made to feel uncomfortable and feel like your an inconvenience then go eat there.

Great sit in Chinese restaurant with lots of choices on the menu. We chose the all you can eat buffet, which was great value. Nice food and good service.

The food was and I mean a while ago above average, but what happened went there as a birthday group table I booked turned not booked. Food was disgraceful the duck tasted like it had already been passed through someone else then reheated Food ordered never arrived some dishes were too salty I was charged for 5 meals even though there was only 4 of us, when I asked for why I was told that It was due to ordering vegitarian duck pancakes, only thing that was good was the beer and water well they could not mess that up. By now you may guess I will not be going back I had used them a few times and until my last 2 visits been just good shame that no offer of any apology was given after complaint.

The take away food was tasteless, beef was so hard could not swallowed . Will never buy a take away from this place again. P.

My partner and I used to eat at The Dragon Palace several years ago, when we lived in Poole. The food, then, was so fresh and tasted delicious. HOWEVER, we ordered some previous favourites and we were so very disappointed. What ever has happened to Dragon Palace during those years we were away?? The vegetables were soggy and in a tasteless, glutinous sauce. My partner's beef dish was tough and inedible, also tasteless with a glutinous sauce. We threw most of the meal away and will never order from Dragon Palace again. I see from other customer's negative comments, that a free meal is offered to make amends, but for us, we really wouldn't want that at all. The 2 stars are given for the good delivery. Such a shame about the rest.

Just been to this place and I wouldn’t recommend it firstly when we got there and sat down I asked the lady if the kids can share a plate on the all you can eat as they won’t eat much and she said no if they eat something they need to pay so I got them 1 each which my youngest which is 5 ate a handful of chips and my other boy ate 1 chicken ball and a handful of chip so basically paid £30 for them both shocking ( the chips wasn’t even cooked properly still hard in the middle ) so for 2 adults an 2 children with 3 half pints of soft drink and 1 pint of soft drink came to £91 and then they also put a service charge of £9.10 on the bill I don’t know why as the service was terrible If you have young kids do not take them here defiantly not value for money

We had the 'all you can eat' option. All served to you at your table. Freshly cooked to order. Friendly and attentive staff. Drinks very reasonably priced which was a nice surprise! This was our first visit but it definitely wont be our last.

It’s the first time I’ve ordered from here tonight. Absolutely delicious food. Could not have been improved in any way. Lovely and hot too. 8 dishes were all terrific. Highly recommend.

The food was luke warm, the sweet and sour sauce was a gloopy mess. All of the dishes tasted the same. The waiters need training, and the restaurant was freezing. Our first and last visit

Management are incredibly nice service was quick and the food was very high-quality, especially for the price you pay, only complaint would be the variety of drinks, and the other guests who got very loud disturbing our meal.

My partner used to come here with his gran parents over 20 years ago. It was a lovely surprise taking him back down memory lane. Food is amazing and all fresh. I've never found a Chinese I like but this one tops them all ! By far the best and will be coming back from London just to eat here ! Amazing staff members all polite. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

After a bad experience here a year ago we decided to give them another chance. So glad we did. They’ve started doing eat what you want again £24.99 per person which is good value really nowadays. Think it’s a few pound more for weekend. Food was back on form.

Ordered a home delivery takeaway, three different meals, most were super, sadly the 1/4 duck was well over cooked and slightly burnt. Shame as rest of delivery was extremely nice. Would order food from here again though.

Booked this place whilst on our hols & having read the reviews, we were keen to give it a go. It didn’t disappoint! Fantastic food and great service. Definitely as good a Chinese as I’ve ever had….and I’ve had quite a few!

me and five friends went last night for the all you can eat menu and were not disappointed one bit. food was gorgeous and the staff were amazing, not pushy like some places. we will be making this a monthly thing now.

Just eaten here as a family of 15 on holiday. Was amazing food and amazing service. Very impressed.

The food on our visit could not be faulted. However the service was odd to say the least. We went for the eat as much as you like menu and shortly after our starter had arrived was told that we needed to pay the bill....

Awful experience tonight, food although delicious was so expensive and overall experience poor. We had the all you can eat, as soon as the starter arrived was told we had to pay the pill as they had other customers walk out without paying, we had no problem with this, but they had the nerve to add a service charge before the meal was even complete!!! The waitress told us that this was because you can't tell who are gypsies and who are not, we were shocked by these comments. My partner paid the bill minus service charge but was made to feel extremely uncomfortable throughout the meal. We were not even offered prawn crackers.

Having been frustrated by indifferent service at restaurants I decided to try this takeaway.I ordered the prawns with noodles and grilled dumplings. The noodles were excellent.Very crunchy vegetables and lots of prawns.I found the Dumplings to be a bit stodgy.However overall the food was impressive...

Came in for a takeaway as recommended by my housemate, was not disappointed. Friendly staff, was ready ahead of time quoted, and came with a complementary dish! Well cooked food in good portions.

Dropped in for food in passing! Very friendly, not pushy. Very reasonable price had one of the Set menus, far too much food 😁 absolutely delicious, every course fresh and hot. You could make changes if there was something you didn't like. Anything you didn't eat they would put in a doggy bag! Definitely go again!

This is one of the best places for Chinese food I have ever been too in the UK, 100% recommend! Staff are friendly, good variety of food and drink.

The food is great from here but the additional 20%tax on what's already expensive is ridiculous and then you get charged 2.50 for delivery and they have the cheek to then put a 20% tax on that delivery fee tax thy call it honestly unless this is removed I won't order again and it was my go to place order once a week at least 40 pound spend aswell

Nice food but main meals £10.50. Rice £5.80 up. £2 dearer than on website. Need to update site. Very friendly staff. Food was hot. A bit too far for us to go for Chinese.
