We always use this Chinese when we are on holiday. Food was very nice and reasonable. Collected takeaway and was nice to see the kitchen and how clean it was hence their 5 star food hygiene rating

5 star rating for cleanliness but not the food I’m afraid had a delivery the chips were clearly re heated and not nice curry taste straight from the fridge and too much sauce to hide whatever’s there and chicken hard and looks old has put me off ordering again for the price should be freshly cooked not re heated I never usually complain but won’t be ordering again

Worst Chinese food I've had in years food was luke warm and dried out as if it had been cooked and left out before delivery

Ordered from Highcliff, delivery was prompt, but, food was very poor quality, dry, no sauces for ribs or chicken, prawn toast was over cooked and dry, crispy seaweed was average, crispy shredded beef was chewie and not crispy. When phoned to complain the attitude was poor and didnt seem to care or bothered about the lack of quality of the food. Will definitely NOT be ordering from them again.

We were staying in a caravan in Holburne Bashley. We had researched Chinese takeaways in the area prior to our trip. This one got good reviews. We called to check with them the night before that they would deliver to the campsite which they did. We found the menu online, telephoned our order through, it was delivered to our caravan within about half an hour, hot food as ordered. We laid cash in delivery. The order was complete, the food was very good and there was plenty of it. Would not hesitate to recommend Top Chef for a takeaway. Highly recommended.

Great food, delivered to Hoburne Naish caravan park for us, no need to use Just eat or deliveroo, ordered straight from the restaurant.

Ordered via Just Eat. Over an hour to arrive. Ordered Duck with pancakes, cold and 5 pancakes, sauce clearly came straight from a fridge. Chicken and cashew had no sauce, chicken was inedible as tough and because the egg fried rice was not delivered, ordered again and then 20 minutes later got plain rice which was cold and smelt off. Called the restaurant direct and was told ‘if you didn’t like it don’t order with us again’ Apparently waiting for a refund. May be environmental health should be informed about their delivery process?

I moved to Highcliffe 3 weeks ago and have had a selection of dishes each week. Absolutely brilliant food and service with only limited staff. Very highly recommended 👌

So so disaappointed with our delivery tonight. This Chinese was the best in Bournemouth until tonight. Ordered the A1 set menu, but everything was bland as. Even after adding our own soy sauce, the flavour did not improve. Guys, sort yourselves out, will not be ordering from there again. Any suggestions for a good Chinese?

Really not a good takeaway at all 😕! Chicken was sinewy in texture and the vegetables were bland and overcooked. Prawn rice had about 8 small prawns in it and a small ‘bonus’ piece of pork? Salt and chilli chips actually had so much salt on them they were practically inedible. All in all, I don’t think we will be getting another takeaway from here 😔 quite pricey as well.

Whilst staying at my mother’s flat I needed a meal and noticed that Highcliffe had three Chinese takeaways in the high street. I decided to check out Top Chef and am very glad I did. I purchased the sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style with egg fried rice for £11 and it was very good. I didn’t have to wait long to get it and as I only had to carry it just around the corner to the flat it was still very hot when I ate it and the taste was really great. Fresh vegetables and fruit (mainly green peppers and pineapple) lovely sweet and sour sauce and the pork was excellent. The rice was not too dry like some and I will definitely be returning there to try a different dish next time I visit the area. Definitely recommended.

Consistently excellent quality food with a great choice. Takeaway only - Best in the area. Really tasty and I don't wake up in the middle of the night dying of thirst! I always collect so can't comment on delivery. Forgot to pack my chips but 5 minutes after I arrived home they turned up with the chips! You can't beat that service. Lovely people.

Beef curry & special fried rice. Rice was slightly overcooked, not much extra in it for special fried rice. The curry sauce was watery & lacked flavour with very few vegetables in it, the beef was chewey. I'll be going back to my regular Chinese in Highcliffe, its more expensive but so much better quality it's noticeable.

although the food was excellent the order was missing some things we ordered and the phone conversation was missunderstood because their was so much background noise but they did try to make it right unfortunately it was to late will use again though as food is top notch but i hope i can give five stars next time!

We found Top Chef online as wanted a Chinese meal delivered to our caravan while on holiday. We ordered duck with pancakes, chicken in satay sauce, egg fried rice, Singapore noodles. Food was delivered direct our caravan within the hour. Very pleased with the service.

Incredibly slow delivery. Way over the estimated time and no apology when we phoned to find out where food was. Ordered at around 7.30 and still waiting for food at 9pm. Avoid.

Needed a chinese takeaway on a drive thru camping holiday and googled the nearby takeaways en route. Top Chef had the least number of slating reviews so picked this one. It looks a bit dodgy from the outside at the moment coz the sign is on the floor outside. But stuck with it. No one waiting ordered and served all within ten minutes easily. The stuff is flash fried right in front of you behind the counter and it all looked v. clean and hygenic. Crispy fried beef, szechuan chicken, fried noodles and pork fried rice. All quite presentable, tasty and hot. Plenty spicy and nicely filled a hole. ‘Coz there wasn’t many reviews on this place, i’m writing this favourable one.

Brilliant place to order, food is amazing and quite authentic as opposed to sauce laden dishes I've tried in other Chinese takeaway. Staff are amazingly polite and nothing is too much trouble. Support this business as they truly 🙏 deserve it.

We ordered through Just Eat. Top Chef confirmed they were running late but within 15 mins after our requested time the food arrived. It was still very warm. Portion sizes were generous. Very tasty although the special fried rice was soggy due to all the vegetables being laid on the top.

Just had our meal for 2 from Top Chef. It was great food and such good value. We look forward to our next visit. Its easy to find a d you can park in one of the side roads.

Food is good but it's ALWAYS 15-30 mins later than they say it will be. Very frustrating!

Love love love on holiday and been to top chef 3 time

Ordered some food for delivery but I didnt add up the price correctly, food came quickly and the price was £25.30. The delivery driver didn't have any change on him and wasnt very helpful, but I called up the chinese and asked if they could credit me £4 for next time I order. Instead of doing this, they dropped by with £5 later on and repeatedly apologised for the inconvenience. Couldn't rate them highly enough, lovely people and great food

This was our first order for four family members: We collectively rated it 7/10 The prawn toast was ok, it could have been cooked less and had more prawn included. Hot & Sour soup was good. The spicy squid was of a good consistency, a little too much onion could have been more generous on the squid. Chicken with mushroom was very good. The chow main was ok overall, the noodles were a little unusual - thinner than we have seen in other takeaway but not greasy, the chow main could have done with a little more bean sprouts. The chicken with bamboo shoots was ok. Our benchmark is a takeaway we had used in South West London for 30 years and which has not been surpassed yet by anywhere else we have tried! Also , a little pricy: £40 for 4 of us to eat enough to feel satisfied and full after our meal. But then again we find in Hampshire, outside of Southampton- takeaway prices are higher by about a £1 on every dish-maybe a consequence of the high business rates now imposed. We would re-order from here as we liked the overall quality.

Had a great takeaway last night. Always perfectly cooked, packaged and delivered and never greasy. Particularly enjoyed the Kung Po Chicken.

We own a van at Naish and always order when here. They deliver to the van and the food is always yummy with great sized portions. They don’t use MSG and also provide vouchers that you can collect to get money off future meals. Love this place, please don’t hesitate ordering.

We were staying in a campsite some 7 miles away but they agreed to deliver. We ordered £80+ of food and it was delivered promptly and to order. All food was good and even the fussy eater didn't complain ! Can only thank the owners and recommend.

Food was oily and chicken was hard🤮 Spent a order of £27 and now happy at all! Also came 15 mins early when we had just got home so wasn’t ideal timing either. Not satisfied at all and can’t find a email to contact to conplain!

We have had take away from this Chinese for years. They changed owners a couple of years ago & still great food . There portions have gone down hill , more like half portions & stingy on the prawn crackers for 4 people.Love the food , but need a better deal

Ordered few times only let down is chips soaked in oil and they dont look freshly made. Please change your oil more refulary and dont serve bad looking chips at begining of the nite. Will rate better if it improves

Have eaten many Chinese takeaways over the years, this has to be the best.Every thing we ordered was really fresh and authentic, and you can tell they actually cook everything from scratch. It promotes healthy cooking, and promise there is NO MSG added. Keep up the great food.

The breakfast was first class freshly and well cooked food. The evening was good although it felt like they struggled to manage the volume of people so the service was slightly slow but not unacceptable and this was explained to us when we went in.

Lovely big portion sizes and excellent tasting. Brilliant. Won't go anywhere else now

really lovely Chinese food, can't fault it in any way. great value for money in regards to portion size and the staff are so friendly. love the little extras like fortune cookies and Top Chef pounds tokens, when you have collected 10 they will give you £10 off your order.
