The best restaurants serving Default food in Town Centre Christchurch South West

I've been going to Mela since I was young and the staff are brilliant. Food is great and never have any problems. Thanks Mela. Also my best compliments to Mohan and Raj, always lovely to speak with and receive the best service out of them, couldn't get better.

Food was good, service felt like we were ignored.

Really impressed with this restaurant and the service we received yesterday evening! Firstly, the decor is stunning, beautifully styled and just a perfect amount of restaurant / bar combination, the seats were very comfortable and the menu choice was spot on too! I would also like to mention the staff, we had a lovely young lady who took our order but also wanted to thank Lindsey (I'm sure that was your name), who was brilliant with my dad (broken toe), very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We shall certainly be back - highly recommend to all! Good luck with your launch in March! Kate

I ordered the all-day breakfast. The only thing I requested was that the egg was well done. It came out barely cooked. It was taken away, and 10 mins later came back (the same food). The egg had been cooked completely, but oddly, the yoke was now not even touching the white of the egg. Sadly now, the plateful of food was now luke warm. I sent it back. Another 10 minutes, everything came back hot (again, the same plate of food), except the baked beans were now stone cold. As the baked beans are served in a small tin cup, I suspect the egg had first time been cooked through in a microwave (hence the strange look of it) and second time everything heated up in a microwave, all except the beans. It was barely edible. I was with family and not in a position to complain again. But sadly, it was only a 1* meal.

A very disappointing fish and chip lunch, tasteless fish and reheated chips, what a shame.

Says open till half 2 but doesn’t bother saying it’s either changed times or it was never open until then. Wasted money on a taxi to get here for it not to be open. Looked like a run down place anyways so we might have dodged a bullet

Food was cold had to walk ten minutes to driver and didn’t get given my change after asking really poor

This is genuinely the best kebab I have ever had , cooked with passion nobody can top this place , thank you so healthy and tastes like you love what you do

My Sons birthday this evening was held out the back and although he had too many people (should be 12) by having 14 they managed to squeeze us in and made no fuss about it (as many might have done) . They accommodated us with beautiful food and service, complete with a music system and birthday cake. Amazing Indian restaurant. Its our number 1 for sure. THANKYOU ❤️

(Saturday) really bad black coffee had loads of grounds in and was bitter 😫 very disappointing.

Went here on a Thursday night, really busy restaurant. Food was quick to come and tasted excellent. The lady serving was really good, checked in on us and was always quick to help.

A Good Friday family meal was enjoyed by us all here. I am a regular visitor when spending time by the sea here. The food and service are very good. My favourite is their Mol e-Mol Chicken. The surroundings are modern and extremely clean. The staff are smartly dressed and they have Kingfisher on draught. Of all the places that I eat in this area this is the best value for money and the Mela bill when it arrives is always less than I expected.
