Probably the dirtiest cafe I have been in since eating in the jungle of Thailand 40 years ago. Filthy kitchen, plates, cups, and spoons.
My partner and I had a flat white and a cappuccino both of which arrived looking exactly the same in filthy cups delivered by the filthy-looking owner.
Eclectic it may be, filthy it definitely is.
My young son and I had dinner there this evening. It was the best! Whoever was cooking this evening was superb. We have eaten there for years and it's always been good, but I had to leave a review tonight as it was 20 out of 10. I had the meatball starter which was not too spicey and cooked just right. I then had the chicken and pancetta pizza with red onion and extra basil. It was fab.
I ordered a beef curry and egg fried rice. I was slightly suspicious given the fact that the meal was turned around in about three minutes.
My suspicion was qualified by the fact I have now had a very bad upset stomach for 24 hours
Terrible service. I had to pay extra to order i have placed becouse it apeared after i pay they dont have item inselected. I have swapped it for diffrent one and they told me i need to pay extra. If i would order item of my 2nd choice as part of deal would be same price, i shoudnt be asked to pay any extra. Poor customer care.
rude manager, constantly rolling eyes and making disgusted faces when not hearing someone answer her, 0 patience, just made the meal fully un enjoyable
We previously used Cherry House a couple of years ago and the food was great. We haven’t ordered many takeaways recently but then we ordered from them a couple of days ago - wow the quality has really dropped and all the dishes were bland and tasteless. We won’t be going back.
Wonderful meal with attentive, kind service. We ate the seabass (2 big fillets) in Tamarind sauce, with sticky rice and a lovely, herby, bright laab salad on the side. We went for 'normally spicy' and loved it. Our kind host looked after our 15-year-old, too, amending her duck dish so it wasn't so spicy, so she loved it too.
Naturally, we had the mixed starter and some tempura veg to start - both were great, and fun to share. 'More-interesting-than-standard' prawn toasts, super-sized, well-filled spring rolls, lovely prawns and corn cakes.
Food, decor, music, ambience and comfort, all 5* Portion sizes are generous, so we have more for the fridge :)
