Food was ok, customer service was AWFUL! Ordered food and waited around an hour for the delivery time, half an hour later still no food so I called and was offered 10% off my next meal so I said don’t worry about that I won’t be ordering again but how long for my food and was told another half an hour. Rang back after half an hour to be told my order had been cancelled and refunded! I am a mum of 3 special needs children which a chronic illness and feeling poorly tonight, days before payday. I actually borrowed money to pay for this because I felt so ill but of course a refund doesn’t appear straight away in the bank so I demanded my order and said I would pay when the refund had cleared as it was THEIR MISTAKE. They said it would take another 20 minutes! Gone 9pm and my 10 year old was in tears she was so hungry! The driver then arrives with my food having been told I will pay cash! He didn’t know what to do because they had faken his previous wages from the evening to pay for my food because he was going home after my delivery! Yet another phone call to them and he said he will sort out with the driver! Fuming and the food wasn’t even that good. Don’t use!

Chef Canton over the past year has declined in both standards and customer service. We decided to give it a try after a break of a few months; service was quick but the food was below par, to make matters worse I found some fabric/tissue in my seaweed - I would call and complain but they never take any notice or apologise. AVOID!!

This is our local Chinese takeaway, but I must confess we haven’t used it for a while. We only ordered the 1/4 duck, salt & chilli ribs and large spring roll and it was great. The duck was really fresh, not dry and the ribs had lots of meat on them. So can’t see a reason not to go back.

We had been using this place for years, few times the phone line would just ring and ring so assumed that they were not there. Thought we would give them another go this evening to get a response from the girl on the phone with a large sigh and attitude. To tell me that "oh well it will be over an hour"! This would be 20 mins after that they had opened. Very rude will not be using again and they have now permanently lost my custom.

What a difference!! Absolutely delicious Chinese food! We've lived in the area for 7 years. I think the restaurant may have changed hands in the past 1-2 years . We've been getting our takeaways every other week over the last 5 months and the food has been wonderfully consistent in the high standard. I heartily recommend this takeaway for the best Chinese food.

We have had many takeaways as treats from our local Chinese takeaway, their chefs specials are lovely, and all round an ok takeaway with less MSG than others, though when you do request extra chilli, there is a charge, without actual extra chilli being added. Anyway. The taste is still pretty ok/good. The main let down is a regular delivery driver that arrives, states the cost followed by “you got exact, I got no change”… we always tip and round up, to at least 10%, but when it’s expected… hmmm. Tonight’s meal ended up being almost 20% extra in tip as “I’ve got no change”. A simple way to make a nice bit of cash on the side, and obviously these things happen, but the fourth time in a row that’s been the opening statement. Just distasteful. Sorry guys. Your drivers have let you down.

Absolutely disgusting food. The so called crispy beef was actually crispy batter. There was no beef!!!!! The lemon chicken was lemon sponge!! Soggy batter and grey chicken. The beef chow mein was noodles and hardly any beef. Spring rolls and chips were like reheated bullets. I will always praise good food. But I'm so annoyed that there are people serving this crap. Obviously cost cutting due to pandemic!!!! Will not ever got here again. Be amazing if we don't have dodgy stomachs tomorrow.

We had a takeaway from Chef's Canton, the starter was House Special Appetisers for 2, Sesame Prawn Toast, Vegetable spring rolls, Spare ribs, Seaweed, deep fried chicken in batter (£8) almost a meal for 2 and good, then Chicken Chow Mein ( good but needed some sauce/juice), stir fried mixed vegetables with black bean sauce, nice, Three of a kind Szechuan chicken pork and beef, very good, plus free prawn crackers, 10% off if you phone direct and pick up. Total for good mega meal £23. They get busy but give a realistic pick up time so you don't have to hang around

always have a lovely meal but sad to see minimum order is now £15. hard to do for a single person 😢

Poor quality and the wrong order

Food was fantastic and loved the set menu-plenty of food for 2 people. Very disappointed however with the service & delivery time. Think we placed the order around 6.30pm-initially Just Eat advised 7.10pm delivery time. when we received confirmation directly from the restaurant/Chefs Canton it was changed to 7.35pm - which was fine by us. But then to get to 7.50pm and our order was 15 mins late was unacceptable. Making the call to the restaurant to chase up where our order was, we were asked our address-got no further than house number and the lady presumed, incorrectly, that we were chasing an order for a different address... slightly concerning... so explained no, we weren't calling from that address & gave correct address. Our order hadn't even left yet and when we asked to confirm this we were told that if we continued on the call the order would be anouther 10 mins late.... quite unacceptable customer service we felt. The most frustrating thing is that we are about a 7 min drive round the corner. Would have been happy to drive & pick up to avoid the delay had we known - think perhaps in future we will do that. For anyone looking to order a delivery, our recommendation would be to collect or allow plenty of time but the food is definitely worth the wait :0)

The food was very nice. All hot and had a lot of flavour! The slight problem we had is that we did not get an prawn crackers with our order, but apart from that there were no complaints

The food was very nice, just don't expect it delivered quickly. Just Eat said 40mins to 50 mins...it was actually an hour and a half. But it was a Saturday night and worth the wait :)

Rice and noodles were cold, I had one chicken ball which was very undercooked. The rest of my food was lovely and the delivery was early!

Food was OK but delivery was shocking. I called them twice to chase the order and they couldn’t contact the driver so didn’t know when it would arrive. It was a simple order, 2 starters and a main so shouldn’t have taken around 1:45 mins to arrive.

Chips were awful. Felt like my meal wash rushed to get out the door. £12 i will never get back.

It took 2 hours from ordering for our food to it arriveing it was only just warm enough to eat and I tried 14 times to call to find out what was happening it was constantly engaged When I did finally get through they said the driver was just picking it up by this point my dinner was 45 minuets late after already having added half hour on to the delivery time on line I was not at all impressed by the restaurant or just eats service I tried to online chat to see if I could get any assistant but never got a reply as I was 61 in the cue I will not be using this site again

Called after waiting almost 2hrs to be told they hadn't even started to cook the food. I asked how long it would take and the woman had a terrible attitude and said 'I don't know, i'm not the cook or driver'! If you are that busy then why bother accepting orders you cannot be bothered to fulfill? Will never order with you again and will never recommend you. Disgusting.

Top of the shop...we use them regularly, but first time on Just eat. Never had a bad meal from them and the chap that delivers is friendly too.

Have tried many different chinese takeaways in Worthing (always only because Chefs Canton was "offline" and unavailable to order from). Chefs Canton is the best out of all of them, the chow mein particularly (thin noodles, shredded chicken, dry sauce; aka not caked in sauce. Other places have had thick chunky noodles swimming in wet sauce, if that makes sense). Always hot, great quality, never over or under cooked or too greasy.

I had a real craving for Chinese but unfortunately this did not hit the spot. The lemon sauce was strangely so sweet and strong you winced! The seaweed was drowning in sugar but also so salty I couldn't eat more than a mouthful. The pancake rolls had barely any filling. Unfortunately the majority of our meal went in the bin.

Deep fried chicken was actually little rubbery balls of batter, and the chow mein, though tasty, was actually just noodles with no beansprouts. Disappointing and wouldn't order again.

All the dishes & boxes packed so that you feel wanting to eat,,,,, good portion size, not over seasoned... nice selection of fresh vegetables .... we are half Hong Kong family and this is one of only three takeaways we would buy from in Worthing....

Was more than 30 mins late and the beef dish smelt like ammonia so it went straight in the bin. Here's hoping its fermented veg rather than human wee in there.

This place is fantastic delicious foods here!. May i say that the duck, is absolutely divine its crispy but melts in your mouth. Please do your self a favor order the duck. Xiè xiè chefs canton

very stodgy, bland and greasy. only chose this restaurant because there was mongolian crispy lamb on the menu. it was chewy and overdone. will not be ordering again... sorry

First time we used them and can't moan at anything. Fed 2 adults and 4 children from ages 13-3 and for only £37 will use again for sure.
