The Three Fishes in Worthing

Breakfast was good. Service was a little slow. Surprised and very annoyed by the drunken behaviour and foul language of some customers, especially as there were children around.

Top food and drinks but and there's a but prices have gone up family don't like to see that if prices are low more people can afford that what people like 👍😀😁😁😁😀😁👍👍

My partner and I went to The Three Fishes on Wednesday July 17th 2024 between 7pm and 9pm.The staff who were on duty at that time one could not fault. The tables were kept clean as people left, the meals were served very professionally always returning to see if everything was ok.

I popped in for a late evening drink and a snack before getting the train to London. After a long day walking around Goring by Sea and Worthing I had a very refreshing soda water with fresh lime and ice and nachos with cheese and dips topping. All the staff are very friendly. Everything came quickly and it was a cheery little pub .

Have to say thr breakfast is great for the money. It's not somewhere I would go and personally drink. But a great place if it's your sort of setting. Bar woman was moody ( young girl ) no thank you, no help or anything.. venue was clean including the toilets. Tables was cleaned away very promptly which is alway fantastic. I wouls visit again for the breakfast

Disappointing order steak pudding with mash mushy peas and jug of gravy .mash and mushy peas not available so served with chips and garden peas. Gravy failed to arrived when I asked bought some out but in two tiny dishes designed to be used for sauces. Looked Iver to another table 5 minutes later mash and gravey in gravey boat back on. Hubby had to choose 3 different ales before found one the had.

A typical town wetherspoon pub. Used to be a busy Lloyds bar with music but for some stupid reason they turned back to a standard pub. Food is hit and miss. They now have proper cider back. Ales are usually good. Currently have a special offer on some food and drinks.

A nice meal had before going to see that will be the day at the pavilion theatre

We just had a quick cheap pint, from a great selection. It's a bit of a Wetherspoons type pub. Went somewhere nicer after which sums the place up.

Cheap beer, opens late. Also has food. Pretty much what you would expect from a Spoons.

Very disappointed today ! My mixed grill today was shocking. The chips where cold. Not only on mine but on the other burger meal , mushroom/tomato was not cooked . 7 onion ring in a separate bowl instead of being on the meal and a sausage was also forgot on the mixed grill .. SHOCKING .. food sent straight back . Apart from that.the service was fantastic and the server lovely

We go to Wetherspoon's quite often, mostly to Worthing, Littlehampton or Bognor Regis. Today, at The Three Fishes, we ordered breakfast muffins with our coffee. I was really disappointed with my egg and bacon muffin. The muffin itself was almost rock hard. The egg was cold, burnt underneath and most of the yolk had run out onto the plate. The bacon was just about passable. We have had the breakfast muffins before, and they have mostly been well presented and hot. The person who prepared ours today, could do with more training! Serving cold food is unacceptable. Having said that, the staff in all three of the pubs are very pleasant.

Great gin and tonic deals, good ales too.

Came in late afternoon last week. Didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Staff friendly and helpful. Husband had the gammon, eggs, jacket potato and peas. He’s a biggish eater and found it more than enough. I went for the burger and chips and couldn’t fault it. We had 2 beers, 2 wines and the two meals as stated - approx £21! What’s there to moan about? Wouldn’t get this anywhere else. The tv was on and we wondered if they would change the channel to the football - but they didn’t. Wasn’t a problem either way but it wasn’t loud and we could actually hear ourselves talk - unlike some places! Come on folks - give this place a chance and stop moaning. We are looking forward to coming back.

Typical J D Wetherspoons. Clean and not too busy at this time. Mid morning.

Fairly standard Wetherspoons, smallish range of ales although that's probably because it's actually a Lloyd's No. 1. Usual Wetherspoons fayre though at the usual prices. **UPDATE 13th May 2024** No longer a Lloyds No. 1 but still a Spoons and still the same.

Lovely place and disability accessible.

Great as a cheap and cheerful option. Staff friendly, typical weatherspoons. Nice view of the high street to watch the world go by. Good selection of food and drink.

Excellent and sensible prices for sure, service is always spot on, food is mediocre, environment is okay. It's a decent place to relax and have a beer or a drink for a few ££

Tried a meal that is new on the menu. Ramen bowl.. added xtra poached egg. It was very tasty. Reasonably priced.

Had it Christmas do here, nice food

Group of 5 for an evening meal. Everyone was happy with their meals. Excellent price for dinner and a drink. The only fault was that the meals came at different times, so when the last person got their meal the first person was nearly finished.

It's Weatherspoons but on a better level, win win!

I have never been a huge Wetherspoon pubs fan but they are usually cheaper than most and their traditional breakfast is sufficient. Took a little longer than usual for it to arrive and staff member apologised for that. All was OK.

The way they are putting there prices it is no.longer cheap and the clientele does change the lowest of Worthing drinking in there

Lovely pub. It was pretty busy, but we managed to find a table downstairs. Service was quick, which was good. Staff were all friendly and polite. Outside seating, but I didn't go out as the weather wasn't very good.

It's a convenient pub to go to for a coffee or a drink if you're early for the show at the assembly hall.

Pleasant pub restaurant, great value, good choice of real ales, reasonable food. It's Wetherspoons so you know what you are going to get.

The best service I have ever received at a Spoons. As soon as we walked in we were acknowledged and helped by a member of staff, as I was trying to make room for a highchair. He immediately offered and went to get one. That particular member of staff was friendly and attentive throughout our stay, to every customer. The breakfast was probably the nicest I've had too, everything was cooked perfectly and very fresh. We had a good selection of items between us and nothing was any less than perfect. My only criticisms would be the staff that smelled very strongly of cigarettes, who dropped off our food, and the very loud and aggressive conversation a couple of women were having - I wasn't sure if it was going to break into a physical fight and it made me a little uncomfortable.

Even during this cost of living crisis, they have maintained a great value coffee deal (albeit a little more expensive!) - great Italian coffee as well!

Oh dear where to start. Shame I forgot to take photos. This wasn't great for anything unfortunately. Food was undercooked. Had a hair. And service was very slow. I wouldn't not recommend

Once again the beers are winners

Again, mixed community of drinkers, ages, sizes, chatting socially and just a pleasure to be there. Prices, as per Spoons, so good!

Usual busy wetherspoons. Great selection of cask ales & lots of food being ordered. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the haggis, neeps & tatties as part of the Burns night celebrations. Not to mention the 2 pints of old peculiar. Beautiful.

A nice pub, abit local, but overall a ok place, but abit like the slaughtered lamb when full of locals, it's a JD wetherspoons, that's it only saving grace. Don't let the pub cloud your view of the area,

Whatever was nice was completely undermined by the staff and the cleanliness, the woman behind the bar who served me had "issues" she kept asking Jamie for help with the till, whether it's a lack of training or her SEN she needed help constantly. That's not a problem for me but she was out of her depth and should be given more attention and help. The food was good but let down by the dirty cutlery, I had to wait for replacement cutlery and even then I had to clean it under the hot water at the tea station. Awful experience and wouldn't go back.

Cheap booze, mediocre decor, decent array of alcoholic beverages. Distinctly average.

Didn't have food,just went in here for a few beers. Quite busy when we arrived. Overall a good night out.

Good food and good service .nice place to go for breakfast. Very reasonable price.

Cheaper drinks. Bit of a lucky dip atmosphere wise but definitely worth a visit on a cold winters night.

As weatherspoons goes, a poor performer. In a party of 6 no-one enjoyed their food and serving frozen fries within a portion is poor quality control at the pass and unacceptable

Yet another Wetherspoon pub in which the barmaid is incapable of saying hello, please or thank you. If you don't like your job, love... LEAVE! However, a few minutes later as I joked about this with the young barman, he told me she was his girlfriend and was having a bad day. Don't make my day bad! He was exceptionally cheerful in contrast.

Blanket ban on dogs. Shan't be returning.

Service dreadful. 15 people waiting. 1 poor devil behind the bar. Really!

Surfaces were sticky. Sofa where we sat upstairs was very heavily stained, but only place left to sit. When we left, noticed all sofas were in the same condition. Food was good and service pleasant.

Went in for the first time on a miserable day and the place put a smile on my very wet face. The food was cheap, the meal was a decent size, and for £7 for a meal and a pint you can't complain and delicious. The staff are friendly and the pub was clean and tidy. A very nice place to visit. Recommend to one and all. Good selection of beer and ciders.

Tried for a drive and lunch. Nice pub with its own brewery so can't fault the ale. Simple ham egg and chips is my test for any pub lunch and they passed with flying colours. It seems its a mecca for cyclists so take great care driving to and from.

It's a wetherspoons. They all smell alike.

Very disappointing food... We are regular spoons goers, but never had such a tiny piece of cod, cold peas, and pancakes with maple syrup had no maple syrup, and were rock hard. Had to send it back.

WHO DOES THIS "AMY" THINK SHE IS?! Completely rude so-called "manager". Couldn't manage cleaning the dishes nevermind running a floor.

Local pub feeling in the Heart of town, very friendly staff.

The pub has improved because it now has TV for customers but as on previous visits the pib is noted for a lousy atmosphere and surly unfriendlybarstass bordering on the rude and obnoxious . Certainly one of my least favourite venues in Worthing. Just returned to the Three Fishes very recently for a late night drink. On this occasion the Barman was far friendlier and accommodating. Hopefully my earlier message has done some good.!

Whilst definitely not Michelin-star, food is typically perfectly edible. Service at the bar is, at times, slow (dependant on the time of day) but this is often due to overcrowding at the bar, rather than staff incompetence. Staff are invariably polite and personable (particularly Nikki, Bex & Will, all of whom are efficient and take an interest in their regulars). Environment is usually welcoming and the locals are a friendly bunch. At the end of the day, it IS a Wetherspoons pub - adjust your expectations accordingly and you won’t be disappointed.

You can always rely on wetherspoons for reasonable priced food and drinks. I especially enjoy the beyond burger and the refill teas.

This has got to be one of the worse Wetherspoons. Terrible service, tables rarely cleared and sticky tables that are hardly ever given a wipe. Bordering on disgusting

Getting served at the bar is a joke, if you stand on the righthand side near to the front you will be continually ignored. Staff come out of the kitchen area and just serve the person nearest to them, and continue to just carrying on serving people in that area, totally ignoring the other end of the bar.

It's in the main street about a 5 minute walk from the pier. Good service.Good food

Not sure about all food served anymore, although not a lot of care is being given toward customers - not sure why

Very, VERY, BAD!!! experience... Took my Fiancé for a surprise lunch. He decided on a burger, what was served up was beyond unacceptable, the burger was shrivelled and virtually cremated, the bun was rock hard and the so called salad filling was non existent, the menu said iceberg lettuce, what was in the bun was smaller than an old size postal stamp. NO CHECK BACK so when we finally managed to get the attention of who we think was a manageress and showed her the 'offering' there was ZERO interest, No apology, just "Would you like another one one?" When we asked for a refund there was still no apology. I ordered Ham, Egg and Chips, a usual favourite, after paying over NINE pounds I was served what looked smaller than a toddlers portion, when I complained, I was treated like a liar who was trying to get a bigger portion. Our order was checked on the till but was still looked at with suspicion. When my replacement came it was worse than the original with 2 HALF slices of ham. I was told on ordering I couldn't have fried eggs which was puzzling, I could have poached or 'scrambled' ??? What came with meal was about a 'spoonful' of cold scrambled egg Usually enjoy going there but will not be returning... Photos available

Getting worse, always run out of things, dirty and prices are near on average to most other pubs now. So why sit in a grot hole like this to save a few pennies. Shame as used to be a nice little watering hole

Saturday night visit. Mixed crowd. Upstairs was like a youth club, obviously under age drinkers. Cheap booze attracts certain people.

Well, this was just a breakfast visit early one morning - but what value ! Full English was fresh and delicious ... coffee top ups are endless too, and real friendly chap behind the bar. What's not to like?

These may seem like high scores for a JDW but it is based on price. For the cost the quality, speed of service (even after 10pm) always make this a good option.

It was way better than it was when i last went, which was a very long time ago. It was busy but clean, and food came in good time and looked amazing, couldnt find much to fault, tbh we enjoyed ourselves.

Friendly staff, food is nice for a pub food, the only small issue I had was that had to sit by the dirty table. When asked staff they came and wiped it, and were very nice. So generally good experience. Prices and very reasonable. Large selection of drinks, food and snacks.

We ate breakfast and a couple of evening meals here. Everything that one would expect for Spoos: reasonable food, inexpensive drinks.

Rude staff. Will not come back again

Very limited menu, most meals were out of stock. Service for what was available was incredibly slow - maybe we visited on a bad day as this was not what we usually have with spoons...

Atmosphere spoilt by noisy children.

As always great value, steak &k pie was small but rest of veg portion ok....wife's fish & chips excellent with fair size portion. Free drink as normal...2 people for £16 bargin!

Threw me out for having a seizure, they wanted me to apologise but what for?

I know they are a major chain, but you cannot fault the choice of drinks and value for money.

Lively place with a varied crowd. Big but not cavernous and not dowdy looking. Ordered via the app and server dealt efficiently with my drink being unavailable.

Drinks only here You can't beat spoons for a good selection of cheap beers. The fruit machine robbed us big time,advice is take them out of the pub.
