Wonderful meal with attentive, kind service. We ate the seabass (2 big fillets) in Tamarind sauce, with sticky rice and a lovely, herby, bright laab salad on the side. We went for 'normally spicy' and loved it. Our kind host looked after our 15-year-old, too, amending her duck dish so it wasn't so spicy, so she loved it too. Naturally, we had the mixed starter and some tempura veg to start - both were great, and fun to share. 'More-interesting-than-standard' prawn toasts, super-sized, well-filled spring rolls, lovely prawns and corn cakes. Food, decor, music, ambience and comfort, all 5* Portion sizes are generous, so we have more for the fridge :)

When your party of nine arrives at 19.30 on the Saturday before Christmas to find just four diners in an otherwise empty restaurant it is not a good sign. We should have just walked away. The free glass of Prosecco went down well and the pre-catered starters were passable but all after was between disappointing and diabolical. Food arrived at vastly differing times. And most not very warm. Some had finished with their food way before others were served. I had Pad Thai noodles and crab rice which was incredibly bland. I ate less than half. A vegetarian friend criticised and left all her Tofu from her stir fry which seemed totally undercooked and colourless. Others had deep fried sea bass, red curry & massaman. Nobody raved. Most just picked at the food and were underwhelmed. I felt the food was prepared by an inexperienced chef. And from the heaps of food the young waitress cleared away I could sense her embarrassment. Strange because a couple of years prior I had a perfectly delicious meal there. Could it just be an off-day?

We took friends to this restaurant on a Friday night in Dec and whilst surprisingly quiet it didn’t disappoint on the food at all. Our experience was a good one, with attentive, polite and charming front of house staff. The food was excellent and our friends are big fans of Thai food and they were not disappointed. Having read a previous review that mentioned the temperature of the restaurant, I now recall it being a little on the colder side but not enough to make it uncomfortable. All over s great experience. Thank you Pad Pad Thai, we will return.

I think there may have been a change of chef as we couldn’t eat what we ordered. Food not cooked properly (including hard noodles) and very over spiced. Nothing like the Thai food we know (and love).

Good Chang beer and prawn crackers to start but the Thai fish cakes were over cooked and rubbery. The Thai curry was tasteless and the chicken was dry. Will not be returning here

Dined here on Tuesday evening with my partner and we both had a great time. The food was very good, as was the service and overall atmosphere and background music was perfect. I also ordered a Mojito cocktail which tasted amazing.

The food was excellent we loved all the wonderful flavours that came through. The Thai soup had more flavour that we have ever tasted in Thai food along with the Green Thai curry. The best part for me was the Butterfly pea and honey tea that changes colour when you add lemon. The food was great value. I met one of the owners she was lovely to speak to and hear about their Thailand pictures. Definitely will be back

Had been recommended this for take away. Ordered for new years Eve and really disappointed. The food was bland without spices and seasoning and sauces incredibly watery.

Good beer and excellent prawn crackers. Disappointing after that: restaurant is chilly; mixed starter with minuscule portions; hot plates but food served lukewarm on cold dishes; gelatinous tamarind sauce; red curry lacking any spice experience; no finesse in presentation. Staff pleasant.

Service - not very good, perhaps it was the staff member's first day in the job. Didn't seem to understand basics like taking away dirty cutlery in between courses...Seemed upset when asked to change the cutlery, throwing it on the table... Food quality poor compared to other Thai and Asian restaurants in the town. Green and Red curry sauces seemed to be from a supermarket shelf and very runny. Sticky rice was very chewy, defrosted in microwave? I hope the owners manage to turn the place around before it's too late and word gets out.

This newly opened restaurant has made a very good start. Excellent authentic Thai cuisine with friendly service. A very reasonable price as well. Been there twice now and has not disappointed.

We previously used Cherry House a couple of years ago and the food was great. We haven’t ordered many takeaways recently but then we ordered from them a couple of days ago - wow the quality has really dropped and all the dishes were bland and tasteless. We won’t be going back.

rude manager, constantly rolling eyes and making disgusted faces when not hearing someone answer her, 0 patience, just made the meal fully un enjoyable

Rudest waiter I've ever met, she was muttering in Chinese under breath and her breath stank
