Lovely chilled seafront bar Outside plenty of seating on long wooden tables and benches It’s nothing pretentious just a chilling place to sit drink and look across the beach they do have a menu of chicken wings and burgers that look tasty but yet to try Inside the decor is lovely so it will be nice sitting inside when weather not great staff are friendly and a good choice of craft beers and spirits Only negative is there are two toilets and they are not marked make or female .. as a female I don’t like to have to put the seat down after a man has used it so separate WC. Would be better Other than that I like it here

We just completed a good slug of the Worthing promenade and before turning in for the evening needed a thirst quenching drink. This place was heaving with people and music, certainly seemed to be the place to be! And it was. Outside rustic wooden bench seating led to a two floor quirky pub with live music and a range of different lagers, ciders and beers from around the world. I didn't recognise any which is great, trying something new. I opted for the lager, very nice crisp and a good taste.

Been here twice and the same guy has been rude to us for no reason whatsoever. I understand that working in a pandemic is difficult and especially because your workplace is so busy but it’s not acceptable speaking to customers in the way that you did. Shame that one person lets the rest down as the rest of the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is nice.

Dogs welcome is a big plus for us. Fantastic atmosphere, lovely friendly staff, observing government guidelines. Never had "goose" beer before but thank you to the bar guy who suggested it, great taste.. Could have stayed all night 😂

I have gigged here a couple of times as a musician and always enjoyed the ambience, wide range of delicious beers and friendliness of the staff and management. It must be very tricky to run a place like this with the current Covid-19 guidelines - pubs and bars can be tricky to run at the best of times! The management have always done a terrific job and will definitely continue to do so now even with the new regulations which are in place.

What a fab pub this is! Friendly, great atmosphere, fabulous staff - great range of drinks! Plus super clean and paying proper attention to everyones safety! What more could anyone ask for? 😊

A great pub, with great beers. This place is also blessed with a lovely, helpful, humane and very responsible staff and management, who are doing their utmost to keep us all safe in these tricky Covid days, despite the predictable abuse from a small, ignorant minority. Well done, The Goose🥰!

The goose has a wonderful warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are top notch and always go above and beyond to assist and explain the wonderful and unusual drinks they sell. I was in the pub the other week when a MASSIVE group of people turned up and were politely refused service. Seeing the below review turns my stomach. After breaking covid rules, I feel the staff were MORE than courteous. How dare these children put the lives of other paying customers at risk by turning up in such a group. Bad attitude. Horrible manners. And literally breaking the law. I wouldnt have been half so polite. Exceptional service as always goose. I'm so sorry you've had to deal with the children equivalent of 'Karen's' I wish I could have given their parents a stern talking to about manners and conducting yourself with dignity. I hope no one is put off by that load of hogwash. Keep up the great service. One of the best bars in Worthing.

Its a real shame to be writing this review, as my friends and I have been loyal customers at the goose for years. A group of 9 of us visited the goose saturday evening for a birthday celebration, being aware of the government guidelines of 6 per table, we split into a table of 6 and a table of 3, next to eachother. We were instructed to do this when we had visited the previous week with no isses. Suddenly, a member of staff named Joe who claimed to be the manager started shouting at us very loudly, drawing the attention of the etire pub, saying we will be kicked out (after ordering over £80 worth of drinks). I have never been spoken to so rudely and unprofessionaly in an establishment. Joe had no solutions to offer us when we calmly asked what we should do instead, even though we were doing exactly as everyone else was doing. He continued to point out and humiliate our group, a few of us got upset and went outside. He then told my friend singing was not allowed, and purposely put on bad music to make an example of us and further his power trip. As if all of this wasn't unprofessional enough, he then posted about our group on social media the next day, detailing how one girl called her mother upset because of his actions. The Goose is usually a great place to get together, with really down to earth and lovely staff, however if you wander in and find this man is in charge for the night, I highly suggest you turn around and walk back out. Other customers including some next to us agreed it was disgusting treatment and were made to feel uncomfortable. The 3 stars are for the usual lovely staff members, but it's safe to say we will be finding a new place to socialise, where we won’t be receiving abusive behaviour from this particular staff member.

Visited Worthing for the weekend to meet friends, they recommended The Goose and said it was a favourite of theirs in Worthing! I can see why! Great location.. was lucky enough to have sunshine so even better to sit outside with a view Of the sea. Staff friendly. Would love to go back again.

The pub itself is great. Plenty of TVs for sport, many a staff behind the bar. If only I could say the same for the state of the toilets. I had an emergency and let me just say... The goose was not around to facilitate my bodily needs. Please monitor the state of the toilets more often.

Been going to this pub for years, always had a friendly welcome from the lovely staff. Great place to try new and unusual beers, discovered a few new favourites along the way and had some great nights there. Finally decided to submit a review to counter some negative stuff I've seen the last couple of days on social media regarding a simple offer of friendship to non-british Europeans, which some insecure 'brexiteers' seemingly could not understand. Lovely gesture, good bar, I'll continue to spend my hard-earned there.

Horrific racist staff. Highly disappointing and should be closed down for discriminatory behaviour. The staff are unwashed surly and not welcoming, unless you are non English then they give you a free drink. Boycott at all costs.

When in with a group on a company night out one in the group was 17. We were told he could not be in the bar or outside sitting area he would have to leave the premises. Told in was the law we checked licensing it was not correct when we confronted them they just didn't care!!! Really poor.

Enjoyed a drink prior to going to the Cinema next door. We managed to get a seat on the terrace and enjoyed the late sun. Good choice of drinks and although we didn't eat the food looked good and was reasonably priced.

We visited this brilliant little seafront pub in the afternoon of Easter Monday. A good range of beers were available from breweries which included Kernel, Tiny Rebel and Northern Monk. Lots of tables outside to enable beers by the sea. It was quite busy in the sun, but we got a good place to sit and the staff provided quick and friendly service.

We stopped in here for a drink as we’re getting married in the area soon. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was great. Plenty of seating and has a nice feel.

I like this pub/bar, you get a great glass of prosseco in there, a proper full glass! It was empty though on a Sunday afternoon with a very busy Worthing Town centre. People at 1 other table only. Strange because it's a great little seafront place.

We stopped in here one weekend afternoon with our two children. A really nice atmosphere with plenty of options and really helpful and friendly staff.

Good choice of keg and a smaller choice of cask beers available. Given a warm welcome by the bar staff who were more than willing to enjoy themselves with the customers by taking photos and appearing in them. Nice seating area outside with a lovely view out to sea. It was a little breezy when we visited but nevertheless a nice place to sit and a enjoy a beer or two.

Sat outside on Friday night. It was like sitting in an ashtray. I like the Goose but they really should clean the outside up a bit more often. There was a crack running down the centre of our long table totally stuffed with dog ends. The floor was also littered with them.

Came into your bar today after running race for life and to my surprise your bar was giving free drinks to those who did the race i want to say a big thank you a thoughtful gesture i will return to your bar and recommend you family and friends.

I love this pub. The bar staff are really friendly and the selection of beer good. A relaxing environment after a hard day's shopping and a great outdoor area out front looking out over the sea. Great in the summer as well as in the winter months!

Found The Goose on the front near the pier. It has outside seating which would have been great were it not a very cold and windy Friday night. Inside was warm and inviting. Most patrons were under 30 though welcoming and they made room for us to sit and engaged us in conversation.

Nice cosy and warm bar on the seafront. In the summer you can sit outside and enjoy good views of the front, sea and pier. When the weather is not quite as warm, there is an upper room with good views of the sea and a larger area around the bar. Serves a good selection of craft ales but on the occasion of my visit they only had one cask ale on despite having 3 hand pumps. Can imagine their is a good vibe in there when it is busy. Good choice of music playing too.

I didn't eat here, but as a bar it is very nice. The backroom bar is nicely tucked away downstairs. It has woodlined walls, looks cool and has a nice intimate atmosphere. Out front you have good views of the sea and there is an outside seating area for warm days. I liked it.

My brother lives local and every time I come down we visit. So came again the night before his wedding and also a few days later for my wife's birthday.

Found several watering holes closed on Monday Eve but this was a welcome find. Benched seating outside with plenty of room for groups.

Ofrece una amplia variedad de cervezas interesante. Era un restaurante y el interior antes no ha sido cambiado. La atracción principal es fuera con tiempo bueno pero es amable y lleno con un buen ambiente.

Everybody goes to this pub I have no idea why! Slow service, hideous beer and hugely expensive! Give it a miss, go to the Beach House just along the road!

This pub has it all including a cosy bar, a great nightlife and is situated right on the seafront right by the town centre.

We visited for the first time last Thursday evening, we popped in for a beer before we went out for dinner at the Italian restaurant around the corner. A lovely cozy little bar, we were having such a good time we decided to make a night of it and booked a hotel round the corner and spent the evening. We found a cozy spot next to the wood burner, all the tables were full and there was a good atmosphere and the bar staff were very friendly. There were many different types of beer which was good to try and they had a good range of spirits. I loved that they had a selection of board games for you to play if you fancied it. Overall a great little bar, we will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Good selection off ales on draught friendly staff good for a pint after work or with friends relaxed environment, will be back again.

Prefer this place in the summer due to been small inside! But love the vibe. Great place. Wish they did more one off food events! As always had a good time! Lots of different drinks to try.

We went here just before going for a meal with friends, and it is very popular. They didn't appear to serve the standard range of beers etc but offer a very interesting selection of lesser known beers. Not much chance of getting a seat inside on a cold evening, but there is plenty of seating outside which was ok for us.

I came here for a friend's birthday party, and the pub really did a good job, both food and with a friendly service.The pub is warm, inviting, clean, with an array of "cinema" seating along one side. There is a good range of ales, beers and lagers with clean toilets.The party went very well, great atmosphere and I would recommend this place to others, whether it be a quiet drink at the end of the day or something more livelier at the weekend.

Great little bar offering a nice selection of ales, cider, lager etc. Nice ambience, friendly staff and customers. Large selection of games for you to use too. All in all a winner.

This is a pub with great atmosphere. The layout is in keeping with its seafront location.The furniture feels like the inside of a ship.The pub tends to get busy at office closing time and the vibrant atmosphere builds from then.They have a great selection of beers and cocktails.Dont miss the Wandering Goose if you are in Worthing.

Went in here at 11pm after a film in the Dome Cinema. This is not the first time we have been in. We ordered to medium red wines and then my wife decided to make hers a large. However, the difference in size was not visible to my wife and myself. We tried to argue this but the bar Man was foreign and I think probably played on that and pretended to not understand. The price is excessive and I am finally boycotting this place as I don't think the price warrants the drink and location, we are not in Brighton after all. Dilluded staff, I think people will soon catch on.

This place is my favourite in Worthing - they have got it just right.The drinks are not the regular old stuff that is served everywhere else, I always want to try something new and the staff are good at recommending to my tastes.It is right on the seafront so is a really relaxed atmosphere.Also, you can go in dressed in heels and a dress, or in your jeans and trainers, businessmen in a suit, old couples etc and everyone fits in! It is so relaxed but classy at the same time, I love the mix of people and you always meet interesting people in there too.

Have visited this bar several times and it has an appeal for everyone. Seaside frontage so superb in good weather. An excellent array of beers with wine and other popular deinks readily available. Everyone gets on both young and like me old. Fabulous people watching. Highly recommended.

This is a must visit pub- and would be well positioned in Shoreditch let alone Worthing.Always full of friendly people, friendly staff, offering brilliant ales and lagers, in good surroundings.Go and experience this pub for yourselves.

Since it first opened I had high hopes for somewhere in Worthing serving some interesting and changing beers.The complete indifference and disinterest of the bar staff however, always makes me not want to spend my money here again.The last time I was here was last week (the first in a few months for the reason above). Walked in, one barman talking to his mate on the our side of the bar - no other customers in the place. He just about managed to raise an eyebrow in recognition of the fact we had walked in and wanted a drink. No smile, no welcome. All the time he was pouring our drinks he just continued his conversation with his mate until he decided to speak to us to tell us how much we owed. Shocking bad manners and very poor service.

Been here a few times now, we went fairly early but it was still rammed.....this place is mega popular so I'm not sure what time you have to turn up to get the nice sofa table looking out to sea! We had 2 sambuca shots, a large white wine and a pint of beer for £15, so normal reasonable prices. I like the decor in this place, and the staff seem to have a laugh with each other which is nice to see. Cannot wait to come here in the summer months, sadly though, I think half of worthing will too! Wished it was bigger and it's nice that it had a mixed range of ages in there. A warm welcoming place and will definitely return.

Went back recently after a few months absence and its as good as ever, great beers, nice atmosphere, no meat heads, just simply a great pub

Last summer this was the place to go, it was always so busy and there were loads of great drinks to try. The staff always seemed like they were enjoying themselves and it rubbed off on the customers.Recently however things seem to have started to dip. The last few times I have visited there always seems to be a shortage of stock. The prosecco on tap seems to not exist anymore, no fruit juices, no garnishes in drinks and a cheaper alternative of cider. All the things I used to enjoy here seem to be going which is a massive shame.On my last visit I took my parents, my dad asked for the weakest beer which turned out to be over 5%! We asked the girl behind the bar whether there was anything weaker as he was driving, she was incredibly rude and blunt and couldn't wait to stop serving us. My parents being quite old don't go to bars much so they were not very impressed which disappointed me.I do hope that this is just a blip and things get better because I do love this place and I would like to go back this summer ad it's the only place on the seafront I like to go!

The Wandering Goose is by far the best place to drink in Worthing. Unfortunately i'm becoming really frustrated with some of the unfriendly bar staff who seem to prefer serving their friends to strangers. It wouldnt hurt to smile! Other than that, fantastic beer and a good atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

This pub is a great addition to Worthing. It has a great selection of drinks & not just your bog standard ones with a nice atmosphere. Would certainly recommend popping in for a drink!

if you want a relaxed night out locally, you can't go wrong with The Wandering Goose. A great atmosphere and a mixed clientele adds to the atmosphere. Cosy and inviting inside and on warm summer nights the outside benches are very popular as guests watch the sun set. Great selection of beers and wines.

Visit this pub with some friends n found it quite nice n pleasant.. Yes it is a bit warm on the inside but it's something to be expected when there's so many people there..

The Wandering Goose seems to be the fashionable place to go at the moment...but I have to say I fail to see the appeal. Every time I've been there it's been so over crowded, that being inside is far too hot & unbearable. Getting close to the bar to get served is almost impossible. If you want room to breathe you need to go outside, but you'd be lucky to get a table. Too many people smoking outside really ruins the atmosphere for me (obviously not the pubs fault, that's just my preference; but off putting, nonetheless). The 3 good things about this pub? The staff are friendly and when you do manage to get through the crowd to the bar they seem like genuinely lovely people, happy to have a chat. Prosecco on tap is also a nice touch, as are the seats inside that have been reclaimed from Worthing Dome. Otherwise, I'd be happy to give this one a miss.

I too looked forward to visiting this pub as I'd read a favourable review of the beer served. Alas it didn't live up to expectations and the two real ales I tried were in my opinion poorly kept and served. In addition the beer was served chilled as a result I was told of the beer lines crossing with lager lines on the way up from the cellar. If the beer isn't up to scratch then you don't really have a pub but going by the reviews here it seems that nobody cares anyway.

I absolutely love this place, great vibe and exactly what Worthing needs. The only but is that I'm put off coming here by how crowded it gets, I would come more often otherwise.Any chance of relocating to a bigger venue?

So nice to have a decent bar in Worthing that is full of nice people with a terrific ambience. Shame so many smoke outside but you can't have everything...

Great venue, lots on offer and loads of board games to play, wish they would serve food all day, as not had chance to get down to try some of the specials.

Beer selection is very good, good atmosphere with plenty of seating outside on the seafront which is great on sunny days.My biggest gripe and frustration which is really starting to make me dislike the place, is how slow the service can be on many occasions. No sense of urgency from the bar staff when the place is busy. When quiet, I have on quite a few occasions been at the bar with two or three members of staff chatting behind the bar. When they do eventually notice I am there they just carry on chatting or disappear into the back kitchen. I forgave this when the place first opened as I put it down to inexperienced bar staff and everybody has to learn but nothing has changed - do not become complacent, sort it out!

We didn't eat here, we only visited for a drink but wanted to write about it anyway.It was a busy bar with lots of character and charm. It has an unusual selection of lagers and the bar lady let us try the lager before we ordered so we knew we were getting the right one. The staff were very friendly and it is a lovely little place.

Been wanting to try this bar for a while and finally made it down last Saturday lunch time for a few drinks.Having spoken to some friends I knew there would be a good selction of Ales, Ciders and craft beers but didn't know quite how good.Loads of tap and loads more in the fridge, Orchard Pig cider on tap, Camden Town in the the fridge and loads more independents too.The outdoor seating is great and set up for a long session with friends, the staff were efficient and friendly and the queues went down quickly.If you like good beer in a relaxed atmosphere this is definitely the bar to go to in Worthing.

Really interesting and innovative decor and run by lovely people. Recently went to a Game of Thrones quiz night (and won ha) which was well organised and had a good turn out. Worth coming just for the elderflower cider! Always good atmosphere and lovely on sunny days outside with a view of the sea. Once eaten here and the tapas was good- not to restaurant tapas standard and a little oily for my taste but still better than the average pub grub.

Wow. Thought I was back in London when entering this bar. Great choices of ales lagers and ciders. Not bad price too. Deco great and good seating. Only negative quite crampt and can be long wait at busy times

Tried the tapas here and really enjoyed them, the bar with its outside seating has become probably the best place to have drinks in Worthing. Its a mixed crowd, mixed ages and always a fun night or daytime drinking favorite. It does get very busy so get a few drinks in, in one go, then find your table and have a good ole night. :-)

Just what Worthing was waiting for, a really nice place for a drink,my husband enjoys the large selection of craft beers and I really like the ciders. Today I sampled an elderberry cider, never had before but it was great, another new favourite. Perfectly situation on a sunny day. Cant find anything negative to say. As soon as this place opened other interesting new places to eat and drink seemed to open all over the place, It finally feels like Worthing is catching up with Brighton and Chichester and hopefully other local people will start feeling there is no need to go elsewhere to socialise. Well done!

This has an attractive paneled interior with a good selection of real ales and carbonated fare in a Regency building. Good outside area overlooking the sea

I visited this establishment with a colleague late lunchtime. Although the site on the sea front is an old one, as the 'Wandering Goose' it had not been open for long in the volatile pub trade.We entered the location with an open mind in judgmental terms. The furnishings are spartan and there was no natural atmosphere within a miscellany of tables and chairs. There were three real ale hand pumps dispensing local county ales. The bartender would not win a prize for the best dressed man! We opted for the local house ale, which we were told was brewed within five miles of Worthing.This was a mistake because the beer was cloudy and clearly not ready for sale. Even worse the real ale was served at lager temperatures, very cold with condensation immediately appearing on the glass, to some extent hiding the cloudy beer. If all that was not enough to deter a discerning real ale fan the 'Wandering Goose' had the absolute temerity to charge a WHOPPING £3.70 per pint for a weak beer. Outrageous!On sunny days you can see the public sitting outside consuming their drinks, presumably soft drinks immersed in ice. The pub probably does well in the evenings when young lager drinkers spend their earnings on anything that is alcoholic and wet. This was a very disappointing visit, our first and last.

If my only gripe with the place is that it gets overcrowded too quickly (20 people in the bar feels like a pinch), then it's obviously doing a great job!!! Superb beer, and well priced considering what they stock. Looking forward to using their bierkeller style outside seating over the coming weeks!! Fantastic place, well done.

We love this place. Being a huge fan of craft beers, and seeing as they stock Brewdog beers and Brooklyn Lager, it's our first port of call for a post-work relax. Good fun any night of the week. My only complaint would be that some of the bar staff could be a little more friendly - that would make it a 5 star bar!

This is my favorite local bar without a doubt. It is perfectly located on the seafront and mostly only attracts a higher class of clientele. It serves some of the finest beverages outside of Brighton. Sometimes i get so drunk i wee a little bit.The food is outstanding for pub cuisine and although this bar is small its atmospheric as hell and they have board games for when it rains and stuff.Well cool, the bar manager makes my knees weak. Keep up the good work yo.

We stopped by at opening time (12 noon) today for a drink. I had wine and my husband tried one of the craft beers. We sat outside on the bench seating which faces out to the beach. A thoroughly pleasant experience - we shall be returning.

We had a really good lunch in here today. Loved the tapas selection and so reasonable, huge prawns with garlic sizzling in oil for just £3.50. Good beers and friendly staff. We will go back!

At last, a decent bar in Worthing. Excellent choice of craft beers, including my favourite, Punk IPA! Friendly and relaxed staff and a good job done on the interior, we love the old cinema seats. Good terrace outside too, with views of the beach...

We haven't eaten here yet but popped in for a drink the other evening when passing. Always seems busy and had plenty of outdoor seating, great in the summer evenings. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent draught beer and a wide selection of bottled beers and lagers. Add to this a great location on the seafront and it looks a winner.It seems to be most popular with a youngish clientele, but the more discerning kind (not wetherspoons!). Having said that, we are in our 60's and felt at home and at ease. Books and board games abound indoors and I believe the Sunday roast is superb! Thank goodness someone has had the nerve to open somewhere like this in Worthing. Well done!

Love this place! Such a quirky bar with great selection of drinks and friendly staff and lovely owner. Great location on the sea front cant wait to try the food
