What a great atmosphere with a worthwhile charitable purpose which provides training and support. Delicious snacks and friendly service from enthusiastic and helpful staff who make you smile.

Good quality food and incredibly quick service. Worth booking as it got very busy on a Friday evening even early on. Good range of food and excellent taste.

Went in for a quiet pint about 8.30 on a Saturday evening. Didn’t notice the small sign on the door excluding children. Got a table, ordered at the bar and paid only to be told children weren’t allowed. So we drank at the door, not impressed, spoiled an other ways lovely day out in Witney. Big fan of hook Norton beer as well, so less than impressed that families are not welcomed.

As soon as I walked in the staff were super friendly and kind, great food as always love the pizza!

Without doubt the worst fish and chips we have had in the last 10years, batter and cold chips would be a better description! Extremely disappointing, used to be the best chippy around, will not be returning!

So thought we would try this place. Honest opinion. Ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken bhuna, roti, rice, chips with masala sauce and coriander. So the food isnt nothing like anywhere else in witney. The masala doesn’t taste like a masala in the slightest, although tasted ok. The bhuna was again nothing like a bhuna but again tasted ok. The masala covered chips had no masala sauce so not sure what happened there. So would I go back there. Unfortunately not. Not really anything special. And hardly any choices.

One of the best Sunday pub roasts we have had and we have had a few. The beef just melted in your mouth, the vegetables were plentiful and nicely crunchy, all accompanied by some lovely roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding, just perfect!

This is without doubt the worst place I've ever eaten in Witney. It's a child friendly place and is advertised as such but it's like a creche. Noisy unpleasant atmosphere. However that would not have mattered so much had the food been worth it. I came here for lunch with a friend for the first time and we ordered one mezze salad bowl and one chicken bacon and avocado salad bowl coming to about £25. Very small portions for a main course. Literally thrown together, a few leaves, a drizzle of dressing a miserable amount of dry tiny chicken pieces, salad was mainly rocket....bacon was not crisp but more fatty, hardly any avocado. The mezze bowl looked unspeakably unappetising. Just .....awful. It actually looked like leftovers waiting to be scraped into the bin. My friend had paid and she is not local to Witney so I was totally embarrassed. When she went to the loo a chap came to clear our plates and asked if our food had been OK. I told him absolutely not , it was very poor and stated why. No offer of any reduction just the standard trot out line " I'll make sure the chef is informed......" Like the " chef " would give a toot. If they did care about the food they wouldn't send rubbish like this out. I would not eat here again. Not a chance. You never get a second chance to make a first impression and I will not try a place again who display such poor customer care and think this standard of food is even remotely acceptable. In future I'll have a salad in the Angel further along where I can get a beautiful freshly put together salad with some actual meat in it for around half the price.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with welcoming members of staff. The food portions were generous and both meals were very tasty and enjoyable.

We went here for a few cocktails before moving on for a meal out. It's small but looks the part for a cocktail bar. The first thing that hit us though as we entered was the horrendous smell from the toilets. It was really off putting and so we sat by the main door which thankfully was open. I think this place could be great but cleanliness has to be top priority. We will not return if it smells that bad again.

When you feel the children deserve a sugary treat, this is the spot. Portions are plenty and sure to delight

Arrived with my family to find that it is no longer a Smokehouse, but is now a sports bar. Walked up the road and found another lovely pub instead.

Popped in for a quick pint after an impressively long day, and was very pleased to see that the standards here are as high as ever. A proper, quintessentially English pub, with perfectly kept beer lines, beautiful building and beautiful atmosphere to match. Served by Rosie, my pint was the crisp relaxation in a glass I was hoping for. Delivered and then some. Brilliant pub. A diamond in the crown of Witney.

Service was so slow. Waited over 10minutes for a coffee and soft drink to be given Diet Coke instead of full fat. I just left it and drank that. then waited 30 minutes for poached eggs on toast and a club sandwich. That was supposed to come with side of crisps or Salad which got neither. !! It was not busy only 3 tables in the whole place. Awful experience!!
