I came to the cafe on Saturday afternoon and I felt that this cafe could be greatly improved.
We had the only cakes on offer (maybe there's sometimes a better selection?) which was muffins in packets. I also had a flat white.
Unfortunately, the muffins were really synthetic tasting, with very long use by dates. The coffee wasn't barista coffee, so wasn't very good - came from one of those machines with a picture of the drink that you press.. always a bad sign. My coffee definitely wouldn't pass as a genuine flat white, more of a watery white coffee.
The view was great but the floor was covered in litter and bits of food/chips etc. felt unloved.
The staff were really nice and friendly though.
Please get some fresh cakes and proper coffee! The standard felt like it was more like something from 10 years ago.
Unfortunately don’t get the hype. Really not worth the £73 for roast beef, pigs in blankets and rock hard cauli cheese. Was really looking forward to this but unfortunately there was more fat on the bones than actual meat.

Very unbiased Review
Now I know that this place doesn't have the most spectacular reviews but.....
My visit tonight was fantastic. After an impromptu outing after decorating!!
So, first off The shop! Maybe a little unappealing at first glance, but it's clean.
The chap that served us was very friendly and very polite. (I think he was also the chef) My husband loves extra large pancake rolls 🥺 and the chef happily ablidged.
We ordered chicken chow mein, mushroom curry, egg fried rice and extra large pancake rolls.
IT WAS DELICIOUS!! I actually can't remember the last time I enjoyed a Chinese takeaway this much 😍
Please don't overlook this small takeaway, fresh cooked food, service fantastic, food fantastic and it's local! What more do you need?
Thank you Twinkle Twinkle NewDiamand
See you soon 😘

My husband and I were visiting Tenterden and were amazed at all the eating places available. We chose The Cranbrook Bakery as we only wanted a light meal. I had the Prawn sandwich. What a treat!!! I’ve had lots of prawn sandwiches but this one was outstanding. Tasty brown soft fresh bread with a massive amount of filling - more than I’ve ever seen before - a delicious sauce with just the right consistency, creamy and tasty.
The service was spot-on. Happy smiley staff, helpful but not intrusive.
My husband’s pie was hot and the pastry perfect.
Prices are very reasonable.
I would definitely recommend this cafe.
The coffee and snacks are of a very good Costa standard and the staff are friendly and chatty. Although there is seating outside, it's good to be able to sit inside again. There's plenty of tables and a decent distance between them.
Not sure I was in the same place as some of these reviews. Great venue, former Opera House. Good food and drink at ridiculously low prices. Service good,no cleanliness problems. Loos good too. Will be back.
Excellent Sunday lunch. Just enjoyed Gazpacho with Eel and scallops to start followed by the belly pork and the fillet of rare beef with all the trimmings! Finished up with Sticky Toffee pudding and lemon curd trifle.
Washed down with a bottle of Sancerre.
Lovely ambiance, good food, poor service. We booked a table for lunch for 1.00 pm on a Thursday and arrived at 12.55. Ordered promptly at 1.00 pm and then waited 45 minutes for food to be served. As many others have commented on here, the issue with The Three Chimneys is the quality of service from the waitress staff which varies from indifference to sarcasm and rude.
