We came in today for a late breakfast (Around 11) and chose 1 Large and 1 Small breakfast £23. Steep for a couple of breakfasts but if it’s good you don’t mind. We sat down and soon the tea was brought over. A little while after the breakfasts came. I started to eat when I made a start on the sausage. It seemed an odd texture when cutting (very soft) and after putting it in my mouth it didn’t feel or taste right. I went to speak with one of the staff and asked what brand of sausage they were. The lady I spoke with said they were Korkers. I asked if it was cooked fresh which she said it was. Now I only eat Korkers at home and for a start they take around 15-17 minutes in an air fryer. The breakfast we ordered came sooner than this. It also looked like it had been pre cooked and possibly the day before. The member of staff denied this was the case. The egg yolk was also hard so I guess it was overcooked. All in all for £23 it was pretty poor and I’m most certain not cooked fresh. We used to go in several times a year but we won’t return. Not even as much as an apology from the staff.

This is the first time my wife and I have been here since the opening of the eating area on the first floor. Order your drinks, etc before going up the steep stairs to the light and airy eating area. Our drinks, which were brought up one at a time, were very good. The only thing not so good was that the person serving us could have been a bit more friendly. Still if I had to keep walking up and down those stairs all day, I might not be that friendly.

Located in the middle of Tenterden’s pleasant High Street, we stopped here pretty much on spec having just arrived and not being familiar with the area. It was the first non-chain one that we saw and so popped in as we were hungry. It seems to function as much as a bakery as it does a café, and the available cake selection seemed to be all chocolate based, so no Victoria Sponge or Carrot Cake, for example. That said, we were there mid-afternoon, perhaps much of their range had sold out. I opted for the Millionaire’s shortbread, and this was certainly a very generous portion, although I thought that the caramel had a slightly odd flavour to it that I couldn’t place. Nonetheless, I happily polished it off. Across the table, a slice of tiffin was similarly huge, so much so that it defeated my wife and we asked for a bag to take it away and finish off later. That was much tastier though, and a decent example. Overall, it seemed a bit lacking in character, but that may again be down to when we visited. Perhaps if there had been other customers in there it would have been better. Overall though, not bad, and good value given the portion sizes.

First visit to this bakery and will be the last. Positives -The displays look good and there are free samples on the counter. Negatives - Older staff member - miserable and unhelpful. There is no price list in sight so its a shock when ordering. £2.40 for a cup of tea!! I mean cup and saucer and not mug. I do expect to know how much things cost, think it's the least they can do. The queuing is disorderly and I think it's made up as you go along. The stairs to the seating area are v steep and not accessible for disabled or elderly people.

Came as a family of 6 travelling 2 hours to bedgebury and stopped for sandwiches on our way. Told the kitchen was still open so ordered 6 Sandwiches, cakes, drinks etc as we were starving to then be told the seating area is shut. With 4 children and nowhere to sit (other than the car we’d been in for 2 hours), the lady making the food said it’s ok we could sit up at a table. However, one member of staff said “no it’s closed, if we open it for them then we have to open it for everyone” accompanied by eye-rolling and huffing. Very uncomfortable. We felt very unwelcome and annoyed we’d paid £30 for sandwiches and had to eat them quickly to leave, will absolutely NOT be returning,

I’m a flapjack conocer. I try one in every cafe, bakery I pass by that looks inviting . The retro, teal facade looked very inviting : I was very much warm welcomed in by the lovely, young manager at the Tenterden branch to find the most perfect, all butter flapjack in size, texture & taste 20/10

Visited with my kids as they love the dinosaur biscuits! The bakery offer a large selection of tray bakes and baked goods at a very reasonable price point! Their tiffin is unparalleled and at such a large slice for less than £3?! Where else would you go? A must try!

Mainly takeaway at the moment, but still good for picking up a quick snack. Staff are friendly and the snacks are tasty and home made. I note the comments other reviewers have made about service but I have never come across this. The cakes are delicious and good value for money.

Just popped into the bakery this morning whilst I waited for bank to open. Two ladies behind counter carried on their conversation about their diary etc. Whilst I waited politely. No acknowledgement that I was there despite them seeing me walk in. When they finished one walked off and the lady remaining behind the counter carried on with something, back turned to me so I walked out and went to the big chain cafe next door! Not a "good morning!" "Will be with you in a minute!". I wondered if they had not opened yet and that was their deluded excuse for ignoring customers but when I passed later they were serving someone else pre-9am. The Chain shop was busy and the sole employee was stressed but smiled, apologised and stayed focus on customers. I do not mind waiting, but I refuse to put up with rude behaviour. I would usually use an independent company over a chain always even it meant a que but guess they don't value loyal customers.

If you are looking for a quick snack, ie pies, sausage rolls, sandwichs, cakes etc (whether to eat in, takeaway or even take home), then this is the place for you. All the food is freshly prepared on the premises and served by friendly and helpful staff. Some of the cakes are also Gluten Free. My bacon sandwich was delicious. The cost is very reasonable.

Asked for a table without a booking. The restaurant was mostly empty. Was told they couldn’t fit us in as tables were booked and they were short staffed by a miserable manager. Are down the road
