Charcoal Grill in Tunbridge Wells

Ordered was delayed twice, arrived stone cold and no salad in the wrap that was asked, or no pot of chilli sauce. Order was an hour late, even after ringing and being told it would be 10 minutes away, continued to wait another 40 minutes. Food arrived cold and not up to the usual standard from this takeaway. Ordered at 6pm, and arrived 2 hours later at 8pm!

Always been good but this time good was cold…. Took an hour and a half, chicken kebab was small for a large missing a lot of the salad ingredients. Not great

Really delicious food, we had the special kebab to share and it was really generous with meat and veg. Piping hot and really tasty. I had an issue with my order (I just miss clicked no salad) but called them directly and spoke to a helpful and pleasant member of staff who sorted my issue, so thank you. Food was great, arrived promptly and was delicious and hot. Will be ordering from here again!

Have been using charcoal grill for a long time and this was not as per menu when I order food that should have chicken shish kofte and Conner meat that’s what I expect to receive not a little bit of the main 3 topped up with masses of donber meat that had quite frankly seen better days

The chips were cold and dry and the donner meat wasn’t really up to standard but I got to admit it’s my first bad experience from this guys

The food is always great, hot and to a good standard. The delivery was a bit slow.

I went for a donner wrap and chips and onion rings Food was so nice best kebab I have had in a while great flavour and great portions! Recommend if you want a really nice kebab 10/10🔥

Last two orders the place has gone downhill, 1st order ordered same as always, chicken donner wrap, lamb shish delivered, rang to speak to them, couldnt care less. “What do you want me to do about it”. 2nd order was right, just saturated in grease. Gutted because it was great up until now

Ordered our food at 6pm, had a message through to say it would be with us by 7:30pm latest, had another message to say it was delayed to 7:50pm. Phoned the restaurant at 8:10pm to find out our food had only just left the shop and did not receive our food til gone 8:30pm.

Cold and late and when I called the takeaway he was rude and would not give a refund, told me to tell who I like about his takeaway. Refused to give Refund. Will not be using again. Neither will my friends and family

Worst chicken kebab I ever had

Quick delivery and food was hot. Everything was nice apart from the chips, chips ended up in the bin as they tasted really dry and over cooked.

Food was good and arrived hot but often times missing the salad from the kebab, kinda ruins the meal.

Lovely food. Order was made for 8pm and it arrived at 7:15pm. Fortunately all we’re ready to eat.

Ordered almost £30 worth of food they sent 2 small kebabs which we didn’t order. Wouldn’t do anything about it. Staff were rude on the phone. Food was cold and disgusting.

Ordered two Quarter Pounders, one with cheese and one without cheese. Both turned up with cheese. Couldn't eat it as allergic to cheese. It was quite clear on the menu but they chose to ignore it. Will think twice about using this take-away again.

ordered delivery for 18.30, rang shop at 19.05 and was put on hold twice, before speaking to manager , he said that it was out for delivery. I said that I was unhappy to which he said what's the difference to being 5 mins or 5 mins late or even 20mins. I said that it was 35 mins late and it was not good enough. \I asked for a discount or refund to which he snapped back - NO CHANCE. We have been using this shop for years and will certainly not be using it again. Bas attitude and really poor service.

The Kebab was pretty small for an X-Large, normally that size would fill the container and the salad would be in a separate container. Plenty of chips though. I get a better deal from other kebab shops.

Very disappointed in the fact that I put a note on the order to call rather than ring the bell - was clearly on the receipt when ordered but ignored. Also app hadn't confirmed it was out for delivery so wasn't looking out fo lr the driver.

Food is always good but their service has gone to rock bottom. I appreciate they are busy but really nearly 2 hours to get a kebab when we ordered early to avoid the rush.

Salad looked off colour and hardly any meat. I've ordered before and portion was much bigger.

Lush kebab loads of nice fresh salad and juicy meat - wouldnt get onion rings again they sucked to greasy and bland but not marking score down for them as main dish was spot on - marks for main not the extra

Every so often you get a bad one it's expected; But today was spot on. As expected, hot on arrival, friendly driver and was yummy. All was finished up, even my 2 Children stole some and they had Thier dinner. 5* Well done and thanks.

Food was cold, which after phoning the shop I understand why, it took 40 mins for someone to deliver the food on a 6 minute drive therefore it was cold, shop even admitted he had pushed the button on the computer to confirm it had been delivered, 10 minutes before it was actually delivered! Won’t be using again

The food was not up to its usual standard usually very good. The food was lukewarm and not up to its usual standards ie chips salad in pitta half an onion plus chips and meat and chips, more meat and chips.

My food turned up late but I got a message saying it is running late but will be with me soon then after ten minutes it arrived

Cheesy chips were unfortunately stone cold. The wrap was okay, burger was lovely. Just a real shame lately that they seem to be over run (not a bad thing as just shows food is normally amazing) but it’s constantly over 30 minutes late.

Disappointed with food, the meat very grissly, very oily and no salt and vinegar on cold chips. Parts missing. Won't use again

Food never came! Restaurant said they’ll sort out my refund and didn’t. Said they’ll call me back and didn’t. Now they’re ignoring my calls, oh they also confirmed my order then called me an hour and a half later telling me they don’t deliver here. How about you just decline my order next time rather than leaving me starving for an hour and half just to say you don’t deliver here. Absolutely pathetic from the restaurant.

Chicken was nice but the fish was terrible it was grey and looked very old.

Rip off I spent £35 on 4 kebabs, I asked for the sauce that comes with each kebab to be separate. They then charged me £4 for the containers they put the sauce in. The containers must cost less than a penny each ! Total rip off!! Although the kebabs are generally nice if you ask for them to be cooked so they are juicy. The whole experience leaves a bad taste in your mouth!

Food cold and soggy and tasetless. The chicken shish had no flavour at all. We isually get our food from Britannia Grill which is 100% better than this but they wernt delivering tonight. They forgot the pot of burger sauce too. Will never order from here again

I ordered food from this establishment at 19:16 on a Friday evening using their website. The order was accepted promptly and I was provided with a delivery time of 55 minutes. When the food had not arrived by 20:20, I called them and was eventually passed onto the only guy who can speak English. This person told me that the food was already out for delivery and I was suitably appeased by this. At 20:40, the food having still not arrived, I called again. I spoke to the same guy who once again told me that the food has already left. This guy then tripped himself up when I pushed him as to when it had left the establishment. He replied that it had left 5 minutes ago! When I declared him an obvious liar, he remembered that he'd spoken to me 20 minutes earlier and tried to back track by explaining that they have been busy. The food eventually arrived at 21:01 and as expected by now it was stone cold. The driver was a personable gentleman and I asked him to be straight with me as to what time he had left the restaurant with my food. He replied that he had left 10 minutes earlier and driven directly to my house, when I told him that the guy had said it was at least 25 minutes ago, he responded to tell me that I have been lied to and that this happens all the time. It was only after the driver left that I unpacked the food, only to realise that after all of this, the restaurant had not bothered to pack the drink I had ordered and paid for. This prompted my third call of the evening to the restaurant. I spoke to the same guy, who agreed that they had taken my money on not delivered my order correctly. As I sit here, I await delivery of said drink, I'm not holding my breath! The tone I've received during all of my verbal communications with Charcoal Grill this evening has been one of derision. To top it all off, the freezing cold food is absolutely revolting and I have had to resort to ordering a pizza to feed my family!

Food was overpriced massively, meat was tough to eat. Had to call the restaurant to confirm if they had even sent the right food. Person on the phone was very rude and dismissive. Didn't care. Lots better places in Maidstone. Won't be ordering again.

Great lamb shish and chicken shish.

I asked for my sauce in pots and it came covered in chilly and garlic. Couldn’t eat the food as it was that hot because of the chilly. A £20 kabab wasted because you thicko’s can’t read…

Very bad first experience! Chicken doner was so salty. It was so dry and not freshly cut. Probably kept in the pot long time. Ended in the bin! Chips was also not good. Many of them were like pieces of woods. Dried up somehow. So hard to chew. Lamb kebab was nicely cooked. Soft and yummy. But the pitta bread was again so so dry. The whole order wasn't even worth the half of the price I've paid!
