Took our mum for her birthday , we all had a roast . Absolutely amaizing , beef so tender , roasties crispy , lovely selection of veg. Puddings just as good. Very well presented , staff very professional . Thank you , we’ll be back.
Excellent coffee. Visited for the first time today. Great location near M27. We only had coffee, which was excellent. We will be back for breakfast next time.
Best place for an informal lunch/brunch/coffee in Stockbridge. Stockbridge has been calling out for somewhere like Meadow for years and the team have nailed it.
The menu is spot on, not too big but still plenty of options. I have visited quite a few times and have never had poor service. I love the feel inside, it has the perfect balance of cozy, airy and light and its always fun to see what new pieces of art are on the walls.
Please ignore the comments about price, I do wonder if these reviewers have any idea about Stockbridge. It is a prime market town in the Test Valley, and you have to bear that in mind when thinking about value. Nothing in Stockbridge is cheap, so maybe go elsewhere if price is an issue for you. I personally think that Meadow represents excellent value for money in Stockbridge.
We went on recommendation after checking the Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed.
Luckily we prebooked because on our arrival at 2:30pm, the restaurant and bar areas were full.
We were quickly shown to our table and drinks were ordered.
Great Indian takeaway, simple phone ordering service, 25minute turn round very good for a saturday night, efficient at collection(easy parking right outside as well), food ready bang on time, very reasonable prices and very pleased with food quality (lamb passanda a top choice!) and good portion sizes. Definitely will be using again
Bracken Place DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Southampton, Chilworth, England
I had a wonderful dinner with my wife at The Bracken Place restaurant inside The Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Chilworth, Southampton, England on our trip to our Norwegian cruise. First the restaurant manager, Gee, was so pleasant and helpful to us as we entered the restaurant. She made us feel very welcome and glad that we had come to the restaurant. Our server, Bashu, did an excellent job helping us with the excellent menu. My wife had the vegetable curry and rice and I had the beef brisket. Our food was delicious and we also had the watercress/cheddar/ale soup to start. My wife claims that is the best soup she has ever had! So, if you are coming Southampton to join a cruise or just visiting lovely Southampton, please try The Bracken Place restaurant.
Yes this is an old pub and still looks like one but the tradition of hospitality continues now that it is a cafe open to the public. It is not just for Be Wiser staff. The Andover Social Cycle Club use this for our Wednesday post ride "cafe and kuchen" as the Germans would say. Or "carbo replen" was we say. You get a nice big coffee from trained baristas, lovely cake and the staff are very welcoming. It is very cheap and excellent value for money. They also do lunch specials for a very modest price.
We stopped by Tesco Café in Andover for lunch while on a holiday break in Winchester, and we were really impressed! The food was fresh, tasty, and well-priced. The staff were friendly, polite, and made us feel very welcome. The café was clean, comfortable, and had a nice, relaxed atmosphere perfect for a quick lunch during our trip.
Great service and good food, definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
I visited on Saturday around lunchtime and we were served by Megan V. She was so helpful and unbelievably patient with my elderly grandparents even in a busy environment she took her time to listen to them talking about the good old days! Couldn’t fault her, although we haven’t always had the best experiences here with staff members I couldn’t fault our service Megan went above and beyond!
The carvery this Sunday was excellent. The owner seems to have taken the bull by the horn and decided to get behind the carvery himself. The difference in quality and service was night and day from the previous year. Definately be visiting again soon and looking forward to what the weekly menu looks like. Thank you guys x
Sadly this pub remains closed. Some work has been done on the building but there is no indication that it will reopen soon. Best to check before travelling. The nearest pub is the Black Horse at West Tytherley which has good reviews.
We have been sat here waiting for 2 coffees and 2 cakes for half an hour now. They aren't even cooking sono reason for the delay staff are just standing around waiting for the batista. Gone downhill dramatically since Hillers took over.
