Lovely little cafe in a secluded area with a lovely calm and pretty setting. Very nice bite to eat and drink in the peaceful setting. Staff were very polite and friendly and the cafe was lovely and clean with a beautiful garden to enjoy the peace.

Tried to order breakfast told they have no stock due to lack of delivery asked what they had told everything else as most of it would have been on breakfast ordered something else with a added pouched egg this was not on plate when it arrived told he get one brought out after the rest of my party had finished eating I was still sat waiting. Told it was on it way 30 minutes later I finished eating my now cold meal still no egg. The service was so bad I decided to take the loss of the egg I have payed for and left. They not enough staff to deal with anyone and customer service was non existent

Visited for breakfast. Tasty coffee but lukewarm warm. Smoothie almost needed chewing as so many seeds. Avocado toast with bacon - very thin slice of sourdough & hard, unripe avocado. Friendly service, nice setting but attention to detail lets it down

Poor service, extremely slow to bring hot drinks, in fact we had finished our breakfast before they arrived. Might have helped if they had dealt with customers in order. It even appeared they favoured those they knew and served them first. Wouldn't return.

Arrived at around 10:45 with the aim of a nice brunch. We love coming here, the food is good as is the coffee and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the place was overrun and it seemed like there just 3 young people trying to cope with taking orders, making coffees and serving. No sign of any manager or senior person. Having queued for 15 minutes we were told that the kitchen was closed and all that was available was cake! Not what we’d expected but, as we were there, opted for a couple of slices and coffees. These were eventually served fulsome apologies for the delays but when we’d finished and ready to leave it has been exactly an hour since arriving. I don’t know who the owners are but they need to either scale up the staffing or scale down the seating - what’s the point of having all those tables and not being able to serve them? At one point the queue waiting to order was out the door. One group was asking for a credit note or refund as they’d been waiting over an hour after ordering and not got anything! Won’t be hurrying back unfortunately. Staff were brilliant under intense pressure - but where was the owner or Manager?

Saturday 23rd December. Checked on Google which said they were open but closed following day for Xmas. Go along and closed! Won’t be visiting here again.

This coffeeshop is probably one of the my favourite places to go. The coffee is amazing, the cinnamon buns are out of this world, service. Everyone is always so welcoming and attentive. Definitely coming back!

Very disappointing and nearly inedible lunch. Ordered the avocado toastie as when I came a few months ago it was delicious with loads of filling in doorstop slices of sourdough. What came out of the kitchen this time was sad thin slices of cheap sandwich bread, grey/brown coloured pesto that looked like it had been sitting around and, unforgivably, avocado that still had the skin on. The amount of filling was incredibly mean and not worth £7.50. The coleslaw had so much black pepper in it and was not nice at all. “Caramelised onion” in my partners toastie was actually just chopped raw onion. I have no idea how the kitchen has changed this much in a few months but I will not be coming back. What a shame and can’t believe the chef would allow something so poor quality to leave the kitchen.

It's a real shame but the standards have significantly dropped over the last 4 or 5 months, so much so I don't think we'll bother going back. Food availability was very limited - I chose a sandwich and the bread was no better than a supermarket's own brand and the filling only luke warm. By far the worst though was the service; when we arrived there were two other tables, each with four customers on. One table were already drinking and the other table were obviously waiting for theirs. Their good came out some five minutes or so after we had arrived. Then I would guess about another 7 or 8 minutes later their drinks arrived. Then 2 or 3 minutes later our food arrived. We then waited and waited until my husband went inside the cafe to ask about our drinks only to be told "they're on their way but we've had a large group in"!!!! I can categorically state there were no other parties there other than those already stated. To add insult to injury - and bearing in mind a had been there over 20 minutes, my husband had ordered a black Americano - my requested drink of 'Elderflower ' arrived in a glass and advised it was 'Elderflower and Rosemary ' as they didn't have Elderflower!!! I was not happy and on having the tiniest sip, my husband returned for a refund or replacement drink - it was refused!!!I No apology and quite obnoxious young lad - certainly not a good reflection on a local business.

Only thing now worth visiting for is the coffee! When this place opened was its heyday and I wrote glowing reviews but how the mighty have fallen! We have gradually watched this once lovely cafe go from bad to worse. Often long waits for cooked food and that’s if they have everything on the menu! Selection of cakes is now poor and as to savoury small bites like the sausage rolls and pizza swirls of the early days- forget it ! There was a period a while ago when things like turnovers and chef’s sausage rolls made an appearance but that seems a thing of the past. The ONLY reason we pop in nowadays is for a cup of coffee when out for a walk and perhaps a piece of cake if we are lucky to have one we fancy. There is sadly now nothing that sets this place above any competition and indeed unless something radical is done, can only see it declining even further. Such a shame!

Ordered 3 full English breakfasts from the specials menu … not great quality or cooking. 1 sausage, 2 fried eggs, 2 bacon, mushrooms, beans and a tomato. Bacon was very fatty and although tasted nice it was mostly inedible due to the amount of white jelly like fat. Sausage was over cooked and not great quality and eggs were bland and again over cooked. Butter was scraped into a large mug for our toast. Plenty of it but far too much for 3 standard pieces of toast. Seemed like a bit of a waste. I do not think it is value for money. Young man serving us was very attentive, courteous and professional, however, others seemed distracted and unhappy. Coffee is lovely. They never put glasses out by the water and we always have to ask … seems a bit strange … not a massive problem but is a constant issue.

Fishing the lakes today, I ordered three toasties today with ‘homemade slaw and crisps’ to takeaway - £7.50 each. That’s £22.50 for three. What I got was pretty awful for £7.50, no slaw, no crisps, very cheap cheese and boring white bread. There was no ordering from and delivery to your swim as advertised. The menu on the website wasn’t accurate - it was ‘what’s on the board only’. I wouldn’t recommend it.☹️

We stumbled across this coffee shop and was pleasantly surprised. It’s very well presented with a nice garden. Peaceful and quiet. Food and drinks were good.

Really going downhill. We've been a few times recently and each time is worse. We likely won't be going again. One recent visit they had stopped doing hot food at 1pm, ie just when we arrived, due to being short staffed. The table beside me complained about their food and the waitress literally shrugged and walked off. They ended up walking out. The cakes are awful- really dry and tasteless, gritty icing and just not worth it even when on promotion. On another visit a few months ago we brought some friends and were all given a garnish consisting of just lettuce that was clearly still frozen. Prices keep going up but service and quality of food is just going down. Huge waiting times when when not that busy. Shame as its a lovely spot but poor service and poor food, bad combination!

Absolutely awful service asked to talk to the manager and was told there isn’t one?? How can a cofffee shop run with no manager, it’s almost as if there are kids employed who are playing role play with the coffee shop! We definitely will not be back and will be telling all family and friends to avoid!! Chef moaning he has to cook as he was “going for a break”

Super friendly & efficient staff make this place a hidden gem. Friend who likes a good fry up says that their breakfast was the best! Service great and the cakes look wonderful. Tons of space outside but the trouble is that there is not much space inside. There are not many tables and you are pretty much crushed up against the person next to you - fine for kids but adults struggle. It is attached to a campsite so it’s really for those staying there. However if it’s quiet, sunny & you are local it’s worth a trip. I do love a good cafe!

Willow Lodge - such a peaceful place to stay for a few days with friends. The accommodation was very comfortable, well equipped and we particularly enjoyed the‘goodies’ provided. One of the farm hens even gave us a double yolked eggs! It was a joy to wander round the lovely fishing lakes and to be immersed in nature. The on-site cafe was a real bonus (lovely breakfasts), excellent local pub (The Rockingham Arms) and convenient for our visits to Beaulieu, Exbury and Montisfont. Thank you Alex and Alex!

We visited for your pizza evening on Thursday the 18th of October , it was a lovely atmosphere the Staff were very busy but made time to chat to us about our day, check food and drinks were acceptable etc, as a table of 6 there was a small delay between pizzas arriving at table but the lovely waitress told us they were all cooked fresh and only 2 could be cooked at one time.. once the pizzas arrived they did not disappoint, they were hot and you cold tell fresh ingredients had been used, we also had 2 dressed salads and 2 portions of olives to accompany our mains, which again were beautifully presented and really tasty! We will most definitely be back and even working on the boss to have a team evening here… in my eyes much better than a leading pizza restaurant (pre…) thank you once again to your staff and chef for making it such a delightful evening… we will see you again very soon!!

I often visit family who live in Wellow and have suggested this as a meeting place, and it’s a great little coffee spot. Quality coffee and helpful, knowledgable staff who were keen to tell me about the traceability of the locally sourced food and produce. The last visit I had full English breakfast and it was fab! I’ll be returning again soon :)

Wife and I were looking to grab something quick whilst travelling but didn't want to have garage food so dropped in here for two takeaway panini's. I had the chicken and pesto, wife had the falafel. Superb food and great service.
