Hidden gem, great staff all friendly and good was really hot and quick to table

My wife and I booked in to the restaurant for dinner. The staff were excellent polite, attentive but in no way over bearing. We enjoyed a lovely meal, my wife's food carefully crafted around her special dietary needs. I would echo the praises of other reviewers regarding the surroundings, absolutely outstanding. Already planning a further visit to Cliveden with friends in the near future. Thanks for a lovely evening.

This is a fantastic restaurant, great location and nice and friendly staff a special mention to Emily and Pamala, my wife and I went for dinner yesterday evening, I had the crab which was presented well and look appetising but unfortunately 4 pieces of shell and a bit of bone I ate half but didn’t want to chance the rest as I had expensive dental treatment the week before, the disappointing thing is I wasn’t offered any discount or even a drink on the house, the crab was not cheap at £25.00 for a crab starter. The main was great and dessert excellent, cocktails even better. We are local and are regular at the restaurant.

Food and service is ok, but for what you're paying you'd expect the building to meet expected standards. The environment is tired, dated and shabby. The steaks don't meet expectations for the price and sound far better on the menu than they taste, but they aren't low quality. The whole ridiculousness of managed parking when in the middle of nowhere is unnecessary.

Came here for a spa day last week - the hotel is set on really beautiful grounds with lovely greenery. The spa facilities were modern and clean and staff were very friendly. The food in the restaurant was really tasty and the view from the restaurant was gorgeous. Would 100% recommend for a spa break!!

I’m extremely fussy with my food and eat regularly at high end restaurants all over London ! This pub has a homely vibe where all the staff go above and beyond to make your visit extra special! A special mention to Evey, Tom, Peter, Mike. Now onto the food we had steak also lamb it doesn’t get 5 star it gets 6 stars if that existed - cooked to absolute perfection & the best steak I’ve had in at least 5 years ! We will back very soon ! This place is must visit and should be an example to all out there of food standard and outstanding staff ! See you soon Merry Crimbo !

Love visiting the Standard when I can, you will always get a dam good pint of the black stuff, nice chilled Guinness and to top that the chicken wings are the best.

The service was attentive but appropriate from arrival, the staff knowledge of the building history was excellent and made the experience a visit, not just a tea and I was made to feel very relaxed with no rush to anything. Everyone took the time to explain the food and drink options and my tea cup did not run dry! I’ve done many an afternoon tea, but Clivedon staff have mastered the art of an experience that was worth every penny and every minute. Thank you all!

The food was freshly cooked to order and hot. The menu choice is for everyone. The chef does wonders with the food

We went there 7:50 pm and they told us they closed at 9 last order is 8:30 we said fine when we got table the old man came and wispher in ear that they can't serve pizza no apology nothing will never go again

Food is quite average but the staff are friendly and attentive and it’s very dog friendly.

Our family had the Sunday roast, pork, beef and lamb and they were all excellent!! The best roast ive had in ages…… a must go to!

The worst Sunday Roast I have ever been served. Raw Yorkshire puddings and beef that was so tough you couldn’t cut it. To top it all off had to wait 2.5 hrs for this pleasure
