The worst hotel I’ve ever visited. We came there the day before our friends wedding to have a rest and the next day to be ready for the ceremony. At night there was a flood and almost a fire, but thanks to the bride and the groom who noticed it we were survived. Of cause we slept just 2 houses. And the next day we ask the hotel for a refund or at least sone compensation, but there was no response. Also the spa worked till 7 pm, so when we just came we couldn’t even go to there to relax. During breakfast there was no several items at the menu and their menu is very short by itself. Try to find other places around if you can.

I've just come back from the spa where I had the 90-minute "Drift away" experience. Lorina was great - I enjoyed my 60-minute body massage and 30-minute facial. From what I could see in the lobby and corridors, the hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. I will be back to try their afternoon tea!

Avoid!!! Appalled by the customer service received. Booked to stay with excitement of upcoming birthday treat, paid and received confirmation of booking reservation. Hotel then emails with couple days notice stating they identified a price advertising error of my paid stay and reserve the right to change despite their T&C’s reading with ambiguity when challenged. Ultimately they falsely advertise prices, guests make payment, receive confirmation then exploit ‘reserved rights’ to change at their discretion.

Stayed at this hotel a month ago. General stay was good with staff and spa treatments really good. My one star rating is mainly because the hotel took the full room value plus £50 holding deposit on arrival (never had a hotel take full value as holding deposit) and on departure was advised that the holding money would be returned to me in days. A whole month went by with various calls (not many times they picked up) and emails with limited help until I finally had my money returned to me. This unfortunately soured my stay at this hotel and not somewhere I would return in the future or recommend to anyone to stay at

Awful customer service. When we arrived we were told only 1 of 2 treatments had been booked in. We were left waiting for over an hour and then the manager left without updating us which we were told they would do. Told us we could do it the day after, but then later found out there was no availability until 4pm which is after we would have left. Told we would receive the refund in 7-10 days, its been 2 weeks and have not received the refund or any information on how much it will be or when I will get it. I have sent several emails and only had one inadequate response, and no apology. We are very disappointed in how we've been treated and it ruined our supposed to be relaxing bank holiday!

We stayed at Taplow House for an overnight stay. The park and the house are very beautiful. The rooms are a bit old and the food is just ok. It's a bit too expensive for that. Sergio from the reception was very friendly and accommodating. We noticed him very positively here.

i came to the spa with my mum for the day, it’s in a beautiful location with a good amount of parking. we both got facials and they were so relaxing i had a bit of a sleep 😂 we also checked out the outdoor pool and the temperature was perfect. luckily it was a sunny day as we were laying on the lounges.

The hotel is in gorgeous grounds and makes for a really relaxing break. The spa is lovely and the food is amazing! I found the room a little disappointing but the rest of the stay more than made up for it.

Great location! Had an event here with friends and family and everyone loved it! The service was amazing with all the staff being so helpful and made sure we were pleased by catering for our needs. A special thanks to Hulya who went over and beyond with her professionalism and kind, welcoming nature. The venue itself is marvellous with a terrace area looking out to a beautiful nature rich garden. Also the food was splendid. 10/10 would recommend!

What a lovely and peaceful place for a special breakfast. Basic inexpensive menu with a lovely, peaceful, and upper-class feel to it.

Visited with my Daughter mid-February what was supposed to be an Afternoon Spa Delight treat which was a complete disaster. The pool (albeit outside) was not working and basically there are no facilities... if you're looking for a sunlounger to relax on forget it. We only decided to stay for a treatment each which whilst good for my Daughter was more of an endurance test for me. The rest of it we asked for a refund which I have only just managed to receive having chased so many times. It's a beautiful location, but sadly that is about all it offers. Do not waste your time or money!

Solid performance by all staff. Pleasant atmosphere and well presented property made the a visit one worth considering a return for. I think in the summer this venue will really shine.

Venturing into this supposedly opulent realm of expensive afternoon tea, I found myself grappling with an underwhelming array of culinary mediocrity. The sandwiches, touted as refined delights, were nothing more than uninspired bites that lacked any discernible sophistication. Basic fillings and unimaginative pairings left my taste buds yearning for a level of creativity befitting the lofty price point. It was as if the chef had taken a crash course in sandwich assembly, neglecting the nuances that elevate a simple bite into a memorable experience. Moving on to the dessert selection, the cakes presented a dismal tableau of culinary neglect. Dry and flavorless, each forkful felt like a chore, with the promise of indulgence replaced by the harsh reality of culinary indifference. It's perplexing how a venue commanding such a premium can deliver desserts that wouldn't pass muster at a local bakery. The lack of attention to detail in the pastry department is a letdown that permeates the entire dining experience, leaving patrons wondering if they mistakenly stumbled into a budget eatery instead. In this sea of culinary disappointment, the only lifeboat was the scones. Tolerable in their texture and taste, they stood as the lone soldiers salvaging a sinking ship. Yet, even their presence couldn't redeem the overall lack of value. The service, while adequate, merely served as a fleeting distraction from the glaring reality that neither the quality nor quantity on offer justified the exorbitant price tag. For an establishment claiming to provide a luxurious afternoon tea, this experience was an affront to both discerning palates and sensible wallets alike.

Brought family visiting from Australia for a festive afternoon tea on the afternoon of new year's eve. Plenty of delicious food and the hotel was stunning. Service was great. Could have done with some festive music in the dining room for festive spirit, it was a bit too quiet (uncomfortable) in a huge room with only a handful of other quests.

We stayed here for out 16th anniversary, and even though the weather was poor, the hotel was superb. The staff were flawless and the food was amazing. We stayed for 2 nights, had breakfast both mornings, afternoon tea, and dinner for one evening included, and I cannot fault a single thing. Truly some of the best 'hotel break' service and food we've had. The booked massages were great with both of us wanting to book further treatments, unfortunately they were booked up already until after our checkout, so I'd advise to book ahead using thier site or by calling. We made use of the outdoor spa, sauna, and refreshments in the relaxation room. The grounds the hotel are on, and very well maintained, and I could visualise how this palce would be during the summer months. There's some history of the place and grounds too. We had the Orchard suite which was nice an quiet, although, if anyone wishes to book this room, please note its up 3 n half flights of stairs. As standard the room had the usual biscuits, tea and coffe options, and restroom bits and bobs, air conditioning, safe, robes, hairdryer and ample space. The only downfall of the whole stay was the bed. This was a pull down bed, which baffled me to think what else the room could possible be used for, and to be a suite, I would have expected a better investment in this. It was very uncomfortable, and the pillows were as useful as rolling your coat up behind your head. At the head of the bed there was a large gap (6-8 inches ish) of which if we didn't remove the cushion backs from the sofa to fill the gap, you could end up lost down the back of the bed. If this is the same situation in every room, they certainly need to invest in better beds, mattresses and pillows. As mentioned, apart from this, the overall stay was lovely. I would certainly stay here again, or at least book for dinner and spa reservations. If they sort the beds out, this place would be on par with some of the high end hotel spas in the country.

Lovely hotel & spa with gorgeous surroundings. Excellent location to visit local attractions by car or train. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly, however the service in the restaurant can be slow at times. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and clean en-suites. They could do with a little refresh of paint and maybe new taps, but comfortable nevertheless! The spa is modern and relaxing and the outdoor spa pool was beautifully situated overlooking the grounds. The choice of treatments were vast, however the treatment room was slightly on the cooler side than I was expecting.

Beautiful setting and building. Downstairs is lovely but the rooms are tired. (Ours was anyway) food and service excellent and the spa was one of the nicest we’ve been to in terms of the massage rooms etc

One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in a long time. The staff were attentive, the dishes were so tasty and fresh. The menu offered a variety of classic curry's, traditional dishes and chef specials. We also popped outside as we were intrigued by the huge outdoor area at the back, I look forward to dining in the summer! They didn't have any cocktails available but a wide selection of wines and spirits.
