Bella Italia in South Bucks

So disappointing. Used this place many times in the past but it’s run down and the food was well under par. Our waitress was lovely but did not have that ability to help us. The first course was adequate and palatable but not great. My main course was dreadful. The tortellini was so overcooked that it was almost dissolved into a soup like texture. The same goes for the rest of that course. My wife had spaghetti that was also overcooked and had almost no prawns The decor and seating made the place look like a restaurant that is about to close down. Please Bella Italia, this place used to be a great place to hang out, eat and drink. It certainly was not today.

Very poor service to say the least!!!

Terrible service, no idea what they were doing, ordered pizza's only to be told 15 minutes later that they did not have one of them (obviously not made fresh in the kitchen!!!) Waited another 10 mins before being asked what else we would like as a replacement. Failed to bring fries with the meal asked waitress, and all she said was I have asked twice for them awful service and spoiled what should have been a nice Sunday lunch with the family.

We had a lovely lunch experience! Our waitor was Kamran and he was amazing! Very friendly and so kind to us! We will be back!

We both had a pizza and they were delicious, including one which was gluten free. The staff were lovely and friendly. Quiet for a Saturday afternoon.

over 1 hour and still no food very slow services. It's not even very busy! Food arrived frozen. Was sent back another 10 minutes wait! Very bad service food quality bad.

Normally we have a great experience at any Bella Italia. Today seemed slow. Can't fault the team members they were doing all they can. The starters came, the mozzarella sticks were hollow from being overcooked, mushroom Alforno was lovely and doughballs good. Pizza was good, spicy pasta was good but the chicken wings I had for main came wrong sauce and looked undercooked. Small ramakin of Coleslaw arrived (3.99). Hopefully just a one off. We will return

A really disappointing experience Having finished working a late shift at work, I was on the way home and stopped off at Tesco in Taplow. Whilst there, I decided that I’d have dinner at Bella Italia. I arrived at 9:07pm and asked for a table. Which was greeted with what I’d call an irritated expression by the waitress who responded in a rather stark demeanour saying that she’s sorry but the kitchen is closed. Knowing that this restaurant closes at 10pm, and having gone there before in the past at later times than this and being served quite happily, I was given the feeling that perhaps they just couldn’t be bothered. Very disappointing, I will most certainly never step foot into another Bella Italia in the country again. If you advertise that you close at 10pm but stop serving almost an hour before, might I recommend that you say that you close at 9pm. I would have been better off going to the new McDonalds next door Poor customer service

I had so many items lasagne, and margarita pizza, mozzarella sticks and many more. I really loved the taste of all items. I find prices affordable too so I will go for next time.

Practically empty restaurant with 4 tables. Unable to be served as only one waitress who turned us away. Midday on a Sunday.

It's wasn't busy but they didn't have any staff members it was only 1 person. He was trying to do everything by himself.

Lovely price, lovely service, lovely food

We reserved our table and arrived in time and were seated. Feel slightly rushed by blonde waitress to please our drinks order after which she disappeared. Finally, when she returned we managed to order pizzas and pasta, only to be told they were out of dough so no pizzas. We asked for the menu back to order something else and again waitress disappeared. When she eventually returned we were midway through to ordering when waitress spotted some customers and abandoned us to go greet them. We were then told that the chicken milanese was also finished.Yet again. Finally, 40 minutes from arriving we ordered our meals from what was left on the menu.By the time our starters arrived we had been here we were .starving. Starters were garlic dough balls, mozzarella sticks , mushroom al forno and calamari, all tasty and freshly made as were the mains.

Lovely friendly place with nice food. We have never had a bad meal here. Good value too.

Kamran at Bella Italia in Tallow brought an authentic touch with his amazing Italian accent – a breath of Italy in every word. His constant smile and apparent joy in his work set a positive tone. Quick service had my starter of garlic dough balls on the table promptly – piping hot and delicious. Moving on to the spicy sausage main, the flavors danced, but alas, it felt like the sausage had done a disappearing act, leaving the dish on the smaller side. To top it off, the frozen pipes meant no soft drink – a cold blow to an otherwise hot and flavorful experience.

We had a lovely time. We were served by Kamaran, he was so sweet and made the experience so much more enjoyable!

Great food and service felt welcome

Second visit. Came here in the evening during the weekday so it was fairly quiet. Great customer service and nice pasta. Will be back.

Pretty plates. Bad food. Sat down, ordered our food and drinks. Waited nearly an hour for the starters to arrive. No soft drinks available. Wine was mediocre at best Meatballs were 100% frozen and reheated in a microwave, I could tell this by the fact that they were radioactive hot in comparison to the rest of the meal. £40 per head for a tiny starter, microwaved meatballs and a small glass of cheap wine. Not impressed

Excellent all round and super tasty. Really varied menu and does the classics so well. Go for the set menus as they are generous and deliver good value. Service was excellent and efficient and engaged 👍. Plenty of free parking.

After checking there was space (restaurant was empty) we was told the ovens not working (maybe they could have responded to our booking earlier in the day with that info? Feels quite important. That meant they only had some meals: pasta and deserts. OK, we can handle that. The girl serving was maybe new, certanly inexperienced, and had no decision making ability, so all info had to be relayed to and from the manager, who was absent throughout, hiding in a corner, apart from a snide look when we arrived? We asked her to check what they could do for a starter on the kids menu, the response from the manager: "nothing". "So, we won't be charged full price for the kids set menu as we won't be getting a starter?". She scurried back to grumpy in the corner.... : "sorry, he said it would still be full price". So, can only offer 1/4 of the menu, and wanted to charge for courses they can't even serve. We had to leave. The incompetence was becoming too overwhelming. Half expecting the kitchen to say the pans now won't work, and could we just choose a dessert but pay for a main instead?

Served by the new manageress. Friendly quick service greatly received as with young ones.

Had a swell tume with my fellow men. Good food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

Very disappointed and frustrated! The place is ok but the service is very bad! Bar-code ordering was introduced and it took me more than 10 minutes to order a drink and then another 10 minutes of waiting! After that I entered the bar and asked how much I still have to wait to be served, the woman who works there told me: "Oh, sorry, I didn't look at the orders!" So, a full 25 minutes of waiting! Horror!

extremely disappointed, food was terrible order came out wrong and on top of that we were given out of date Mayonnaise

Sitting here Taplow branch and can say one of my unpleasant experience with them. Poor lousy service and waitress seems clueless why order took long as other tables who came in after us and got finished first. Also they messed up in the size of food for two kids order meal. I have previously had good experience with Bella Italia, this is first one with not a good experience.

Sorry but very disappointing had the fish dish and the prawns weren't ant bigger than cold water prawns. This was very disappointing as I had visited the Bella italia in York a few weeks previously and it was absolutely amazing. Don't eat in Taplow Bella italia. It's terrible 😞

Nice friendly staff and good food and service

Went to Bella Italia for dinner and the restaurant looks great! My server Laura is been very attentive and kind to us. I really enjoyed my pepperoni pizza and fries. Nice cocktails. I'll definitely come back soon!

We had arranged a catch up with friends and as we'd never been to this restaurant, we decided to try it out. We are so glad we did, the food was delicious, the waitress lovely and the price reasonable. I'm actually salivating even now. The mushroom starter was one of the best I'd ever had and the Chicken Milanese was so tender, no knife was required. Sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned well. We will DEFINITELY be back. Food tastes fantastic but the ridiculous service doesn’t make it worth coming here. Ordered starters that came after the mains dishes, waitress was inconvenient by not letting me finish reading the menu, she just took it straight away from me as I finished ordering starters. When situation was explained to the team manager, he was impolite by loudly talking over my dad just saying “it’s ok we apologise” And the prawns weren’t properly clean Don’t bother

Great friendly service, but disappointingly bland food in each and every plate served. Doesn't the chef taste as he/she is cooking? A bit more salt and pepper in the cooking would solve this issue. It's not that hard.

The staff who work at Bella Italia Taplow were nice they didn't look happy. We didn't like that you had to order your food on the mobile. The service of our food was very slow. My carer had to go over to the counter herself to collect mine and Jackie's food. We had to cancel our puddings as the service was very slow.

The male waiter just kept making innapropriate comments. Rude. It's a pity because the rest of the staff were nice and polite. And the food as always was freshly cooked and tasty.

Food was amazing and we're definitely going back the service was good apart from not many customers and service was slow but I would definitely recommend it as as place toneat good value for money

Delicious and nice environment. There is waiter named Kamran he is super friendly and very professional.

We were shown to our seats. We chose what we wanted. We waited. 15 mins later no one came. We just left the place. I took photos of how empty the place was. There was 3 tables only and they all had food. There was a lady, but she was sitting in one corner. I didn't bother. We decided to go to Windsor instead.

Service is slow. Went here last weekend even booked table in advance, however there was 1 hour wait for the food to be served around 2 to 3pm. Not sure what is happening here. 🤔

We ordered calamari, it’s no test and should come with lemon but no show of lemon. Less staff no good service, we got a table by the door and cold coming. But we paid a lot. So please avoid this horrible chain restaurant. Hope it will close all the branches in uk.

Amazing and kind staff! We came here two hours before they closed, so there was only a few people in the restaurant. the food was great, although i wish they had more basic calzones - the only one they offer has meatballs inside. the restaurant itself was really pretty and clean.

To be honest there is terrible staff , I have call to book a table around 7 p.m and they said yes u can come and once we have been there we see 😑, empty restaurant and they said after wating few minutes in a front of the entrance, the waitress saied they don't have a table for me and my frends 😕. And this was the second time going there both times ending up with no service 😢. We will never going there . Good luck and enjoy

The food was fantastic, the flavours where great and the staff were great too.

Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening. Waitress was attentive. Vegan options were limited but there were some.

The service was absolutely terrible… not only did both of our dishes need flavour and salt (carbonara and lasagna - lasagna was microwave quality, wetherspoons would be better) not once did we get “how is your meal” “thank you for coming” it seemed to inconvenience the waiter even asking for water. Terrible service :( Calamari was the only good thing there. The wait time - we were told 30 minutes, turned into 50. Also had to shout down the waiter in order to get the bill as he hadn’t visited the table once since ordering Never again ! :-)

My daughter and I went to Bella Italia multiple times during these summer holidays (2023), and everytime the food exceeded our expectations. It was great quality and the portion sizes were just right. I was also very impressed with the excellent service provided and in particular the short waiting times. The staff were incredibly friendly, and even once when there was a small mix up with my order in the kitchen it was resolved very swiftly and my food promptly arrived, and in addition to this the staff were so nice to pay for my drink as well. Overall the restaurant had a great atmosphere and I would surely recommend this place to anyone.

Wanted to have dinner here and as in the last couple of times half of the restaurant was empty but they don’t have enough staff working so if a table is given to you the waiting time is 40-50min always🫣 A mess. Today even a member of the staff walked out so even less people working there.

I feel i have to right a review for the good of someone business second time i have been refused a table in a empty restaurant from a rude waiter at 8 pm because he cant be bothered to serve The website clearly states open till 10 pm Obviously the waiter doesn’t care not hos business I work in restaurants business and he was rude should not facing customers that bring business Hope this goes to management

Cara and Kayleigh were both 5* along with the food, the “general manager” on the other hand was lazy both girls were running around doing both food service and drinks and rather than helping he was just calling for them to do it, I had to leave soon after finishing my meal, as I felt it wasn’t a good atmosphere, defo think 1 of the girls needs a promotion 😊 and it’s a shame 1 of them is transferring

Visted here ad a celebrational meal for buying something nice. Had Jon as a server today, was fantastic and friendly from beginning to end. A little mix up with order, but no one's fault, excellent at rectifying it immediately and done so politely. Had the loveliest food. Will be back again for sure! Thank you team

I decided to have my pizza take away and went into the shop. I told the receptionist (a guy with tonnes of wax on his hair) that I have the order take away. He asked me to wait and I sat down just seconds later I received the notice that order is ready. I wanted to tell that receptionist that I have notification of my order is ready, the way he reacted was a bit strange and rude “my friend I told you to wait - give me 5 minutes”. I didn’t get why he acted in that waye maybe he has such behaviors for Uber couriers and thought I am an Uber courier….shame. I ordered pepperoni which was very basic no special sauces or taste and the coke was given to me warm. I was surprised at the first instance to see the restaurant has 3.8 stars on Google review but I get it now.. Don’t recommend anyone.

Food is disgusting. Tasted like cheap sauce in a jar with chillies added and tiny portions after being told was a big portion. A pushy rude waitress, zero atmosphere and ££££ for nothing . I would not recommend this place at all. And floor was filthy !

We arrived at 6.30pm on a Friday, our drink order was taken 30mins later, our food order another 20mins later. So as you can imagine it wasn't a great start. Starters great, Angus burger over cooked, pizza arrived very late to all our other mains. We made the staff aware how disappointed we were, they were apologetic however knocked the cost of the burger off our meal and £6 of drinks!! Most unsatisfactory. We will not be returning. 🙁

We arrived at the restaurant and despite being almost completely empty we were told that they had a lot of bookings and that sofa were not available so we settled for a corner table. During our dinner no bye customers came. Note that this was Saturday evening at 8:30pm. We ordered the drinks, cocktails, cappuccino and a large bottle of water. The cappuccino came without sugar sachets; the water came without glasses. We ordered starters, cheese filled gnocchi which were average and Al Forno mushrooms which were very delicious. We ordered 2 carbonara pastas, one without beacon. We were told that the beacon could not be removed because the sauce was prepared in advance. So we ordered only one, which was tasting quite bland and below average. As a replacement we order a seafood risotto which unfortunately was so salty that could not be eaten. As replacement we ordered a margherita pizza which somehow tasted too sour, probably due to the type of tomato sauce, but it did not work for us. We also ordered sweet potatoes which somehow had to be chased 3 times and arrived after all food, not great. So overall not a nice experience, a ruined evening out for me and my wife. We think 1 star is appropriate as despite the restaurant being empty, we did not get a good service and the food was poor. Probably we will not go again for a long time.

What a little gem. Blue light discount available but chose to have the 2 course set menu. Beautiful food, lovely service and what amazing deserts. Will definitely visit again. A big 5 stars from me.

Scott the Chef is Disgusting I witnessed him eat food from my plate put his hand in his mouth and was showing other team members what tooth he needs taking out when he goes to the dentist next and to top it off he cross contaminated raw and cooked food he didn’t wash his hands once whilst I was there it’s literally food poisoning waiting to happen I will not be returning back to this Bella Italia

We were served by Laura, whom we recognised from a previous visit. She's very friendly and affable. The manageress stood out too. The food and service was lovely. Five stars

Food was absolutely horrible. I ordered a vegetarian pizza and my friend ordered carbonara. Not worth £30 for two items. Pizza had no flavour and carbonara was tasteless and very dry. Don't come here.

Found this restaurant by accident when visiting the nearby supermarket, after trying several others restaurants in the area, who were all full and couldn’t take our family party of 7. Well it couldn’t have been any better. Service, staff and food were excellent. Kids 6,7 and 10 who are normally fussy eaters, ate the majority of their food., especially the deserts. The 4 adults really enjoyed their food as well. The staff were friendly, polite, and very attentive. Making the whole experience a joy for all.

There were 3 of us there for a meal. 2 of the party ordered salad with extra chicken and I ordered risotto with extra chicken. It was so hard to find any chicken as the amount was so small, looked like they had got one chicken breast and pulled it apart to share across the 3 of us! Very disappointed.

Staff were polite and friendly. Didn't have to wait long for food and weren't rushed out either. Only complaint, my daughter had dough balls for a starter and one of them was stuck to bottom of bowl! Otherwise, food was great.

Always a great stop good food but sometimes their menu is short of items that all Italian restaurants should have.

The service we received here was absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly. To completement this, the food tasted fantastic, blowing away our expectations another Bella Italia we've been to wasn't so good but these guys were great!

Sorry was going to order food all the scanning of table out side is a pain so spent 5 quid 2 cups of tea I don’t want to be a waitress!!!!! I like to talk my order it’s a joke all your personal information just to eat get it sorted you are loosing customers

Having lunch with my daughter. Absolutely great atmosphere and lovely staff. Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful ambience Love the food, very fresh ingredients... Music is very soothing and low not so loud. Overall a perfect place to have dinner or lunch with family or friends.. Well done Bella Italia.

Dismal. Pizza, pasta and a burger ordered. Pizza looked like it was frozen and reheated, burger was so overcooked and dry it bounced, pasta looked like mince in gravy. We went cos we had short time before a long drive home. I will not stop here again. Then they tried to not give us 2 meal deals even though it was what we asked for. Best bit- the alcohol free beer.

A very modern Bella Italia restaurant, with a separate gluten free menu. Very tasty food. Great staff. Would go back again!

Never been in a Bella Italia before, thought give it a whirl after a day of House hold shopping, didn't book, restauarant vertualary empty, made me laugh that the waitress had to check if they had availability, which they did( looked like they were under staffed, just two people working) tables were dirty and we'll worn seating area, food was cooked fresh, and came quickly, personally wouldn't call it authentic Italian food, bish bosh you can make it at home! Need to go to a small independant Italian😁

Kamran was very welcoming and served us quickly not to mention his great sense of humour. Food was fab, would recommend!

The food came out really quickly and we really enjoyed ourselves the team was making jokes with us and made us feel really welcome.

Popped in for a quick lunch as a catch up with an old friend. We were served by Dan he was great and our food came quickly! The vegetarian options are really nice, definitely recommend the pomodoro!

It took almost 2 hours to get our food, and it was not worth the £10.
