The best restaurants serving Default food in Headington Oxford South East

Nice interior and nice service. However food portions are quite small comparing to the prices - I reckon owners can't decide if it's a pub or a bit of finest dining.

Very nice and varied main dishes with a good selection of desserts. Very nice pub, friendly staff and a clientele from all walks of life. This eclectic mix lends the pub really good character.

Very Disappointing Experience with the Manager I was here today and had a very unpleasant experience. A sweet young girl was serving us and made a small mistake with our order—she gave us whipped cream instead of ice cream. Mistakes happen, and the girl was calm, kind, and handled it very professionally. However, the manager (who introduced herself as a dentist ) was extremely rude to her in front of us. It honestly felt like bullying, which was uncomfortable to witness. What made it worse was how the manager "fixed" the order. She just scooped out the whipped cream and gave the same sundae back, which still had whipped cream in it. I asked her, "What if I were allergic to this?" and instead of showing any concern, she responded rudely, saying she thought I just "didn't like whipped cream," as if that made it okay. We didn’t even ask for a refund — we just said we didn’t want the order anymore. After such a bad experience, we didn’t feel comfortable staying or eating there. But even then, she snapped back saying she couldn’t refund us — even though no one had asked for one. The entire interaction was unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. It was only after we brought up the allergy issue seriously that she offered an apology, and by then it felt forced. We've been regular customers here, but after today’s experience, we won't be coming back. Treating staff and customers like that is unacceptable. That kind of behavior shouldn't be tolerated from anyone, especially not someone in a managerial role.

Great Fullers pub. ESB on tap. Evening open times. Went for Sunday evening drinks. Not many pubs open Sunday night in this area. Thank you for being open.

Siempre iba a ser arriesgado entrar aquí un domingo por la mañana ocupado, pero me había perdido el desayuno, así que pensé en probarlo. Me senté, me ordenaron y luego esperé. Después de unos minutos de mirar a mi alrededor me di cuenta de que había cometido un error. La comida estaba sentada muriendo bajo las luces, un barman ahogado en órdenes y vasos sucios (que estaba visiblemente abrumado, moviendo la cabeza y murmurando para sí mismo). Les di tiempo de sobra para verme levantarme, ponerme el abrigo y marcharme. El personal era todo niños, eran los ciegos guiando a los ciegos, desesperados.

The vanilla crepe brûlée with mango was absolutely beautiful. My husband had the sticky toffee pudding which he said was amazing. The cauliflower soup was lovely and portions of all food was excellent

I was expecting a bit more if a selection here and some of the baguettes didn’t have as much filling as other prets I’ve visited. However the food still looked good Staff were friendly and helpful at the till.

Primero fueron muy groseros , luego hacemos el pedido un poco de pasta solo de una pieza y café y jugo , el precio era tan alto que quedó impactado , que poca pasta era de £ 10 , porque pagué en efectivo yo estaba pidiendo la cuenta bueno se ponen de acuerdo conmigo pidiendo eso , también la higiene era muy baja ... no se los recomendaría a nadie ... primero deben aprender sano entre vendedor y consumidor ...

Since the change of management last year i'm sorry to say standards seem to have dropped. The curry used to be the best in Oxford, their proper chinese chicken curry was absolutely delicious, but now i find it hard to even finish my plate. The chow mein used to be fantastic, but is now oily and grim, and the szechuan chicken once so tasty is now fatty, greasy and tastes a bit odd. It used to be great takeaway, but sadly is not anymore.

Very bad no hygiene Uses moulded tortilla for wraps and the chicken is literally stinking 🤢 Nothing professional and very bad food quality

The Tile shop ale house truly is a beautiful gem in Headington. I wish more people knew about this excellent venue. I played Jenga with some of my companions and spoke to the owners about there ideas and experiences with the Ale house. I believe that amongst so many positive things i could say about this Ale house it would not be fair to not share some positive constructive criticisms. Id like to see the Ale house stock and provide all of the customers with perhaps other rare limited, trending products such as Mexico's famous Mezcal.
