What an absolute little Gem 💎 this place is. Sunday roast, fit for a King 🤴 And our server, Willow, was fantastic. So friendly and so helpful on things totally unrelated to our visit there on the day. She was a true super star 🌟 ✨️

Cosy, great atmosphere and staff were very friendly. Didn't try the food yet but their menu for dogs looks delicious! On that note, it's an extremely dog friendly pub and they were very happy to see ours. Will definitely be going there more often and look forward to trying their pies :)

Good home cooked food but you’re a bit stingy with the gravy and I’ve just seen on my receipt we were charged £1.50 for each of 2 extra very small jugs of gravy.

Lovely little pub. Very friendly staff. I ordered some chips with my pint, they were fast to arrive, delicious and a really good portion! Lots of yummy sauces too. Will definitely be going back

Found this place by accident was in Oxford for work googled for a nice pub amazing pies great selection of beers and wine landlord took time out for a chat we will return!

A great pub with a cute outdoor area where you can sit and watch people silently eating cheesy chips whilst ignoring one another across the table.

The pies were the best meal we had in the UK! Classic pub with incredible food! Amazing GF and vegan options.

The staff were lovely and the beef burger and chips was good, but I wouldn't recommend the chicken and mushroom pie. The pastry was stodgy and undercooked, the white sauce was gloopy and the flavour of mushroom too strong.

Ordered Goat cheese pie with mash and gravy. Honestly the food was okayish. I didn’t find it amazingly scrumptious. Outside seating area is nice though.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Food and service are consistently great and this is now my favourite restaurant in Oxford.

We always enjoy our visits here, yesterday was up to the standard we've come to expect. Willow made some wonderful drink suggestions, that lemon spritz was delicious.

Nuestra fiesta era una mezcla de comedores de carne, verduras, veganos y niños y todos estaban bien alimentados. Terminamos quedándonos todo el día en el jardín, ya que el clima era precioso y el ambiente genial. Una gran fiesta de gente irlandesa, escocesa e inglesa, había mucha bebida y canto hecho, pero el personal era de buen carácter y atento y servicial a pesar de nuestro descenso en su pequeño pub. Algunas personas tenían pasteles y hamburguesas en la noche también y comentó lo buenos que eran - un montón de elección para no consumidores de carne. Recomendaría el White Hart aunque es seguro que será más tranquilo sin nosotros 😊

We have our BBQ here every year. Service is amazing. Dan and Adele especially are really easy to organise events and are extremely helpful on the day. Food is always amazing and we will definitely by using them again!

Very Tasty vegan chicken pie, one of the best I've ever had. Tasty mash and veg and good selection of drinks. Also a very nice beer garden in the summer. Friendly helpful staff on Thursday evening

Small but perfectly formed menu, great portions and decently priced with good service. A slight gripe is that the Steak & Kidney pie, though well filled and tasty, was either slightly overcooked or warmed up - the pastry seemed a little dry.

Favourite pub in Oxford, in a lovely part of Headington. Beer garden is a hidden gem and the pies are amazing. Will definitely be returning!

Stilton burger is best burger I have ever had. And I have had a lot of burgers. Keep it up. I'll be back. Ales are also good, and good guest beers. Beautiful garden, authentic front end, was frequented by famous philosophers like Stuart Hampshire and Isaiah Berlin.

Really great food especially the pies

we love this place! We are currently in hospital with our baby… We try once a day as a family to get out and have some normality by having dinner Together, one of our nurses suggested we try Here it didn’t disappoint. We walked through your door and were greeted by two young members of staff, young lad and a girl (Sadly, I didn’t get their names) They made a fuss of our little boy constantly interacting with him and trying to make him giggle. when ordering the girl made incredible recommendations, my dad ordered a pie and couldn’t decide between chips and mash. She straightaway said I wouldn’t want to miss out on our mash. It’s incredible she wasn’t wrong. I’m always incredibly indecisive. I have three things I couldn’t choose between so she help me choose by saying again what I should go for. I went for the halloumi burger and it was delicious. Our baby is now weaning. He even approved the mash potato so it’s a win from us. We live far away when we discharged. We will most definitely make a trip again staff the food the atmosphere our 2nd to none. We attended on Thursday night whoever the girl was she deserves a real pat on the back to our little boy enjoyed the interaction with her and as he’s living in hospital this really meant the world to us!!! If we could give you 10 stars

The White Hart is a hidden gem in Headington, Oxford, tucked away in a corner of the small borough. Came here for a Sunday Roast and had the roast beef. For the price £17.95, the quality and quantity of the food was exceptional, and service was quick and attentive. The roast beef came with cauliflower cheese, roasted parsnips and carrots, one huge Yorkshire pudding, a large quantity of veg hidden under a tender slab of beef. Was very happy with the meal and impressed with the management of the staff and vigilance. Only down side was the potatoes were rock hard and couldn't cut into them, so unfortunately had to leave them and would have liked more gravy but other than that our experience was superb and defiantly recommend.

I really suggest to go in this pub to try the traditional pie; they have a lot of delicious pie and good beer! The staff Is really kind, everything Is clean and the price are onesto! So, if you go to Oxford, you Need to try this pub!

Very nice service. Booked for my work’s Christmas lunch and we were very well served. The variety on the menu e good and decent price.

Nice traditional village-style pub with iron stove fire. Lovely staff and environment. I had the chicken, ham leek pie which was good. The food presentation could be better, it was plopped on top of an excessive mound of mashed potatoes. Otherwise a nice lunch.

Ce lieux est le MEUILLEUR lieux sur Oxford je crois que je n'ai jamais vu mieux même ayant voyager dans plusieurs pays et plusieurs villes. Les serveurs sont sympa, accueillant, bienveillants et efficaces et les décoration sont magnifique. L'ambiance est MAGIQUE et il y a que de la bonne humeur 🥰😁

Splendid old fashioned pub with great pies. The garden is beautiful and a must to visit in the summer. Been here many time and always happy to come back.

Always a warm welcome at this treasure of a pub. We're so lucky that we live in walking distance. Service is excellent, definitely worth booking if you want to eat. Food is always good and plenty of people visiting so there's always a nice atmosphere. Prices are what to expect in Oxford for a very well run pub. We like the pub garden in particular as we stop off during our dog walks.

Lovely rural pub, pleasant and helpful staff. Nice food and a gorgeous pub garden! It’s a shame they don’t have a car park as trying to find appropriate parking where you don’t have to risk a ticket was difficult but I would say it’s worth the trip and maybe a little walk depending on where you park.

Krásný zážitek v typickém anglickém pubu s krásnou, stromy stíněnou zahrádkou. Dal jsem si žebra a byl jsem maximálně spokojený. Manželka měla salát caesar, který nebyl top (opět potvrzení, že doma umíme lepší), ale snědla ho s chutí.

Kasey is the best barmaid in Oxford and hosted our family at White Hart with class! Highly recommend for those with discerning tastes.

Bar staff slow and quite oblivious to any sense of urgency. Ordered a Guinness and it wasn't left to rest: The basics are being overlooked here. Didn't eat and wouldn't eat since the initial reception gave me the impression I could be waiting a very long time.

5 we had a very good meal and a good evening join in the quiz staff were good and the food was 10/10 excellent from dave /trevor and serena well done DAN AND CAROL SEE YOU SOON DAVE FROM KINGS ARMS BUT LEFT NOW ..

Lovely place. It's difficult to understand from outside how spacious the pub is. There is a wonderful garden area at the back. Indoor and outdoor seating both available. One of the few pubs in the locality. And the locality is beautiful. It's on a beautiful stretch of road. I liked the ambience. Decent crowd. I tried their craft cider which was delicious. I haven't tried the food but my friend says the pies are yummy. So, definitely will try that next time.

I had the steak and stilton pie with mash and peas. The pie was okay the silton was Very overwhelming the mash wasn't the best at all the peas and gravy was nice. The service was okay until she asked how the food was and me and the group I was with told them about the food they didn't seem to happy with the comments as one of the party had chicken ham pie with chips and left half. The beer garden was lovely busy lots of tables.

Me and the misses had pie chips and peas, pie was very very tasty. Staff polite and friendly, a proper pub with proper good beer too.

Incredible garden, not only large but a real sun trap. Decent selection of beers on tap and great pies. Small inside if the weather isn’t so good and hard to park nearby as there’s a lot of permit only areas.

We had our engagement party at the White Hart at we couldn’t have asked for more. Dan was very helpful answering my questions whenever I rang and Lucy was so helpful on the night, she organised everything for me and was so accommodating, even letting me play my playlist through their speakers. The sharing platters they made for us were perfect & nothing was too much trouble. We couldn’t have asked for friendlier staff or a nicer atmosphere for our party.

Great Pies, marvellous beers, terrific service. We came as a group of 8 plus a baby and they immediately made room for us. The place is very busy but the drinks and food were served very quickly. As a man with great experience of pies (draw your own conclusions), this was probably one of the best I've ever had. I had the steak and stilton pie. We will definitely come back. Lovely garden too.

Lovely pub with friendly bar staff. If you’re going for drinks, you’ll have a great time. The food however was a rip off. The pub prides itself on serving ‘traditional pies’, but for £16 each we were presented with a reheated Pieminister pie (their menus exactly match! - you buy them in supermarkets), oven chips and peas. This feels dishonest.

THE BEST SUNDAY ROAST If you want an example of pure and the Best British Sunday Roast lunch look no further than this beautiful example of a great pub. Staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. I wanted to Lick my plate !! But remember to book as the white hart is popular and busy . Ignore all the medical chat as it’s the closest pub to the John Radcliffe hospital so inevitably it’s a magnet for all of those wonderful people who work there

The staff member was very friendly and welcoming. However I ordered the ham, eggs and chips with beans. By the time I removed all fat off the ham there wasn't much left to work with. It was also fridge cold together with the beans and Luke warm chips. Unfortunately the sunny side up egg was hard and over cooked. The venue appears to be clean and tidy just so cold. I had no problem parking directly outside the front door for a week day lunchtime trade. I think this would be a good place to visit in the summer when the evenings are brighter and warmer.
