Thursday 30th January 2025. Called in for lunch, this place is so welcoming, it’s like revisiting friends , this time with my daughter, both had a delicious lunch. I always browse the shop with many different items. Such a special place. Also great if on your own. I don’t have dietary needs but my daughter does. They are always willing to discuss ingredients. Thank you, highly recommended xx
As I vegan, I never expect to be able to eat anything special when I’m not in my home town of go to comforts.. but I was so blown away by their vegan rainbow sandwich! (Can’t remember it official name!) It was so beautifully presented and in abundance, it was such a treat! One of the best bites I’ve had in ages. Thank you!
Left so happy !
We have only been here a few times for brunch so can’t comment on the Tapas/Dinner menu.
That being said the brunch offerings are freshly cooked and very flavoursome. The staff are all friendly and attentive. Really lovely to have an independent business serving good quality food in the village.
Super little place... I say little, because it feels intimate, yet it goes back for a ways, so they can seat quite a few folks... the burger and snacks menu was perfect... beer selection fantastic (I had a brewed in house one that was delish!)...though they also serve other beverages... staff was super friendly and accommodating... love the style, cleanliness, the ambience and the food... 100% win in my book. Will definitely go back with no hesitation whatsoever...
We had a Takeaway Christmas Dinner for four - a great choice of Christmas Faye, beautifully presented & generous proportions: Truly Scrumptious - they couldn’t have done anything better !!
hopefully to be repeated this year 👍
P S three of us had trifle and remarked that it was the best they’d ever eaten.

I'm a regular, great service as usual, lunch is very good value for money and tasty. Atmosphere is very relaxed, and you get a very warm welcome each time you walk through the door.
I was introduced to this cafe by Ashfield Kitchens, another 'hidden gem' in Handcross. Great atmosphere, superb coffee and the cinnamon buns are out of this world, not to be missed or ignored. Finally the friendly, busy, staff are the secret behind the success of this wonderful cafe. Go out of your way to visit. Thank you. S
Cosy and vivid!

A good cup of tea solves a lot of problems and I got a lovely pot of tea here, served with hot milk on the side because it's winter at present. Also they had nice relaxing, soothing music playing which wasn't intrusive and loud like in so many cafes.
We were there on a Sunday lunchtime, we knew it would be a little quieter, especially as it’s a sunny weekend but you couldn’t fault the standard of service regardless. Went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we wanted plus some. Delicious food as well. Would highly recommend. Will be back (this was our second visit). Thank you.
Such a joy to find this little place. The food has that home-made nourishing feeling to it – really tasty and satisfying. The location, right by Devil's Dyke, is idyllic. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely to sit outside and soak up the sun in its laid-back atmosphere.
