Great Cafe. Feel bad having not gone sooner! No wonder it’s been going so long - it’s good!

Thank you to Karen and her team for providing us with our lovely lunch platters yesterday for our training day. The food was lovely, and the salad bowl put together for our coeliac member was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Breakfast! My son and I haven’t been here before but what a great place. Food was top quality. Excellent service and great value. Also spotlessly clean and loads of variety on offer. Couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended.

The lady on counter was amazing and ever so friendly. Came in with 5 family members for breakfast, had the mega breakfast with hash browns and toast. Everything was so delicious, thick bacon, thick toast, yummy sausages. Also had the chocolate milkshake which was so good. Loads of choice on drinks and food. You'd never get bored eating here. The cookies look incredible UPDATE: Just been back a second day. Again the service from the team was amazing. Ever so friendly and attentive 👍 Had the mega breakfast again and it was even more MEGA today if possible with hash browns and toast. Sausages are so tasty and the brown sauce is incredible, loads of flavour. Had the biscoff milkshake today with cream, had a generous portion of biscoff crumb on top of the cream, incredible and only a fiver, great value. Got a choc chip cookie to take away and they looked so good and huge. Chocolate chip, cherry or plain flavours. Loads of characters in for takeaway and the girls handle them with class. Can't wait to visit again from Devon and have another good feed. Thanks team 🌞

Popped in to Munchies with my family. They accommodated 5 of us. The young lady serving was very pleasant and efficient. The breakfasts were cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend and would definitely come here again, when next up from Devon.

Nice to get away from town centre

I was poorly at home this Mother's Day so my son couldn't visit. Instead I received a surprise delivery: afternoon tea for two. The food looked and tasted delicious and there was so much of it - sandwiches, mini quiches, cakes, scones and loads more sweet and savoury. Plus a bunch of cheerful daffodils. It was a real tonic and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit. I highly recommend Munchies!!!!

Valentine's Day in Burgess Hill was a cold, & foggy affair in 2023. The Owner, Karen? was there to greet me at approx. 8:30 in the morning. I grabbed a mug of coffee whilst my Valentine date arrived. Boy meets Girl over a cup of Joe, & neither of us wanted a full English anymore! The Mega Breakfast did look very yummy (next table that 1). We also saw the amazing Valentine's Day Boxes too! really thought the idea was very cool & beautiful. Looks too good to eat! The sun shone on me that day, in very way! SuperDry crew.

Great breakfast this morning. I really must use Munchies more often. Really clean and lovely inside. Great to see this dedicated, hard working business doing well. Great selection of food.

My sister and I had got to know Karen and her Team at Munchies whilst enjoying a couple of excellent breakfast visits to the cafe as it was convenient to our Mum's nursing home. The friendly welcome and quality food really sustained us in our mum's last days and we were confident engaging with Karen to provide catering for up to a 100 people at our mum's wake at nearby St Andrew's Church in Junction Road. The available menus offered good options and in the end although we opted for Teas/Coffee's and cakes, the selection was great including gluten and nut free options and were well received by all attending as was the professional and friendly service of the two staff setting up before, serving the drinks throughout the event and clearing venue at the end. I would have no hesitation recommending Munchies for both a visit to their cafe for a hearty breakfast or indeed lunch is available too as well as for a catering event such as ours. The whole engagement with Karen was easy and professional from start to finish and left absolutely nothing to worry about. Thank you Karen and all your Team for your excellent service and much success for your business going forward.

Good food, homemade plenty of selection with good portions

I love this place! After a couple of recent visits for a takeaway sandwich and coffee I will from now on make this a go to stop for refuelling on my trips out running errands. The sandwiches and fillings are tasty fresh and very generous and the coffee isn’t bad! Yesterday I had a salad for a change and it was a meal in itself. Everything is homemade by Karen and her very friendly professional staff. We have also had the takeaway Sunday roasts and Christmas dinners for the last two years which were excellent! Highly recommend!!

I could eat those hash browns all day long!

I usually drop by for some takeaway breakfast or lunch - this small cafe is always busy and the baguettes really are a door stop! Sausage, egg and bacon - delicious. Have had chicken and bacon, tuna and cheese and various other concoctions for lunch too, Great home made cakes available as well. Staff always really friendly and food made fresh to order. Go hungry!

A lovely Sunday roast. Heated beautifully, gravy delicious. A huge plate so we won’t need crumble next time! Thank you. I have washed all containers if you’d like them returned when I’m next down for more of the also, lovely scotch eggs.

We live very close to Munchies and when we first moved in and couldn't find our way to the cooker we had several lunches from there. We tried various from Sandwich's to pie to salad and all were really nice, freshly cooked and we've been there several times since. They clearly give back to the local community too, after the main rush dies down they hold tea afternoons and Christmas lunches for the older locals, many business owners don't and it's really nice to see this.

Karen and her team exceeded expectations in giving me and my elderly mother a great Christmas day lunch which was absolutely delicious would highly recommend munchies even for events or anything

We ordered takeaway afternoon tea for a family birthday, Munchies opened specially on a Sunday for me to collect. The food was really tasty and there was a lot of variety. It really was great value for money as there was a lot of food. Will definitely be ordering from there again.

It was a frosty autumn afternoon in the early part of October. I went out to meet my friend for breakfast, we were looking to hang out old school style; sausage in one hand, baps in the other. After a short talk about cafe options in Burgess Hill, and my friends Dad recommendaysh; we went to Munchies. We sat down in the bustling eatery and with one quick look at the menu my order jumped out at me like a cricket in tall grass. I had breakfast 3 and Friend had a self made order (toast, egg, bean, hashy-b) The hostesses were very attentive - making sure that we had everything. Out of all the cafes in town this one had the best breakfast selection and staff, ngl. I would say my tea was a bit too milky, however the breakfast? no complaints. The portions and the way it was cooked was everything I could have wanted from a good old fashioned greasy spoon. You can pay on card, the menu is massive and the staff are nice too. SOLID 4.5/5. Friends comments: Great bang for ya buck, heavy on the bang.

First time I've been to this Cafe today. Very clean and presentable. Staff were very friendly and the Menu quite extensive. Before i had my own meal ,all the food that was being brought out before mine looked really good. I had cheese and onion omlette and chips and it was lovely and a generous amount. Initially a side salad was forgotton and i forgot that it was included. One member of staff then remembered she hadn't served it and then apologised and pretty quickly prepared one for me. I really enjoyed my time there . I very much recommend it. My friend lives near there and i go to his house quite often . I look forward to my next visit there.

What a wonderful buffet Karen and the team at Munchies put on for our Golden Wedding Anniversary yesterday. All our guests enjoyed the food which was beautifully presented and delicious. Thank you once again Karen at Munchies, Burgess Hill.

The owner Karen was so helpful and quick to respond to my emails when I was enquiring about the afternoon tea platters that they offer. I was arranging it for 20 people and at no point was there any problem catering for any dietary requirements. They all looked and tasted delicious. Most people had to take a “doggy bag” home as there was so much food. Many thanks to Karen and her team, it was perfect.

Wonderful relaxing vintage afernoon tea. All the food served was made and prepared at the restaurant which was top class , will certainly be booking another afternoon tea .

The food was amazing and enjoyed by all.We had roast pork with cracking and apple sauce,and lot's of amazing salad dishes,and not forgetting the homemade Macaroni cheese for the kids.we will definitely be using Munchies again.

I decided to order afternoon tea for my mothers 88th birthday. They were so accommodating and even decorated the cake platter with a little Happy Birthday sign and the cupcakes were beautifully iced. The selection of savouries were varied and included scotch eggs, sausages rolls, chicken bites, and mini quiches. It was all home made and delicious. Plenty of sandwiches nicely garnished. And as for the sweet treats! Home made cake, scones, rock cakes, brownies and cupcakes with the sweetest fresh strawberries to finish them off. I was expecting mini cakes but the portions were normal size and one of each per person! The best part is, there was so much food we get to have it all again tomorrow! My mother was so thrilled, it made her day.

Had my first Roast dinner today made by the lovely staff of Munchies. It was absolutely gorgeous and plenty of it. I highly recommended it and certainly will be buying this again. Saves me the bother of cooking as cook every other day. Thank you Karen and Team x

I have been enjoying my Sunday Roast from Munchies every Sunday since Mother’s Day - a real treat and absolutely delicious , I collect chilled at 11.30am and then pop in the oven to re-heat when I get hungry, Desserts are fabulous as well!! I love Sundays 😍 xxx

We recently ordered afternoon tea take out for 8 people. We ordered a couple of days before. The food was delicious, wholesome homemade professional food. Nicely presented. Which we picked up on Saturday. All the staff are friendly and pleasant. Will deffo be using them in future. Cost wise aswell value for money was excellent. Thanks Munchies.

We wanted to find something different to help my parents in law celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary in lockdown so we ordered an afternoon tea with Munchies with a bottle of Prosecco. They delivered it as requested and there was a bunch of surprise flowers for my mum in law which was such a sweet thought. To say they loved it would be an understatement. It was beautiful and apparently delicious - I’m glad that we had prewarned them to not eat much that lunchtime as there was loads of tea items. I would definitely recommend Munchies.

We ordered an afternoon tea for our daughters 6th birthday as obviously with the current lockdown we were limited with what we could do to celebrate. There was such a variety of sandwiches, snacks and cakes and sweet treats it put the biggest smile on our daughters face! Ordered the afternoon tea for my parents as a lockdown treat, it was delivered to the door, following covid guidelines. It looked amazing and it was all delicious. Great value for a really special treat. Highly recommend!

A great Sunday lunch if you ring to pre book and give a time for pickup. Had a really tasty roast beef with 4 veg + cauliflower cheese roast pots and Yorkshire. Took it home, straight on a plate, no fuss, hardly any washing up and very satisfying. Chocolate sponge with chocolate sauce was a great pudding. The lunch comes with horseradish if you want it, plenty of gravy and a couple of mints as a nice finishing touch. Excellent in quality and value, highly recommended.

We ordered a take away roast beef dinner to collect for 5 and it was ready when we arrived it was packed in foil containers with the gravy and Yorkshire pudding and horseradish served separately it was absolutely delicious,full of flavour and plenty of veg and the meat was well cooked and tender there was also a napkin,condiments and mint chocolates in a separate plastic bag we also ordered 5 deserts but I didn't have mine overall I would highly recommend this lovely cafe they also cook a roast dinner in the week and the breakfast looks delicious

Wrote a review before but it didn't get accepted for some reason. So I'm putting it up again. When I first started going to munchies it was amazing the food was so tasty and perfect but in recent trips there the food has been so below par its unbelievable. I have been there in weeks because of the food. I had chips that were hard and tasteless, my brother had a jacket potato that was hard and unedible. I don't what has happened to the food but I won't be eating there again for a while
