Aroma Café in Mid Sussex

Amazing fresh food every single time we been. Good choice on menu. Very friendly and efficient service. I would 100% recommend for brunch, lunch and evening dining at the weekends!

Been a few times and can't get enough of the full English ! Top quality ingredients which you don't get often.

This place is worth travelling miles to. Luckily it's within walking distance for me. The food is always delicious. I am a coeliac and the range of gluten-free food here is outstanding. Matt is so attentive. I've had evening meals here and afternoon tea and it is a perfect place to eat and drink. Next on the list is weekend breakfast. I can't recommend it highly enough. Bistro night is Friday and Saturday. If you're looking for a treat then this is the place.

I have eaten at Aroma on a number of occasions. On each such, the food has been outstanding, the service exemplary and the whole experience tremendous. I would not hesitate to recommend Aroma to anybody.

Absolutely delicious afternoon tea at Aroma for Mother’s Day today. Fresh sandwiches, lovely savoury baked goods, melt in the mouth scones and very tasty cakes!

Went for lunch at Aroma today with my best friend, fabulous food and service, what a treat to have delicious, hot and beautifully presented food and attentive service. I am often dissapointed when I go out to eat but this was faultless, I am a gluten free veggie and the veggie breakfast was spot on. I am a chef myself so I really appreciate decent food when I get it. I will will be back. 10 out of 10 :)

We could not fault the food (and wine). The starters of sweet chilli chicken and caramelised onion and cheese rounds were delicious. It didn’t stop there though … great cod loin in Parma and pulled beef curry, oh so good. I continued eating way beyond my limit. Still managed to find space for sticky toffee pudding and affogato! Just looking for an excuse to go back.

I often visit for lunch but I recently returned for another lovely Friday evening bistro experience with my husband. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, the food and service are amazing. So lovely to be able to walk somewhere and not have to worry about taxi's home etc. I would definitely recommend.

Been here twice now and loved it both times. Staff are so friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. They have specials board and a nice usual menu too. First time I went I tried the pie from the specials board which was great. The most recent time I had a Brie and bacon toastie followed by an amazing Biscoff cheesecake. Both were fantastic and left me wanting to come back again!

First time in Aroma cafe today. I had a delicious mushroom and spinach quiche with salad. It was really tasty and generous portion size. Great service too.

Lovely little café with excellent food and impeccable service. Stopped for breakfast while travelling from Woking to Seaford and so happy we did. Was in no rush so had Full English with tea followed by a Flat White and flapjack. Everything was just perfect in this hidden little gem, highly recommended.

Looking for somewhere to meet friends for brunch, I found Aroma Cafe & Kitchen through an online search. As we were a group of five, one of whom is disabled, I emailed to check suitability and whether we could reserve a table. Matt replied quickly, answered all my questions, and was very helpful, so I booked. The venue is spotless, and although small, there is still space between tables. Service was polite and prompt. Plenty of choice on the menu, including soup, quiche & pie of the day. Two of our party ordered the full English breakfast, but neither wanted mushrooms, so were offered hash browns instead. I ordered the pie of the day; chicken, spinach & feta (delicious). I was offered veg & saute potatoes, but opted for a bit of salad with honey & seed dressing. Everybody said their food was tasty, good quality, and plentiful. Tempted by the chilled display, I chose a strawberry & lemon posset (sooo good). The others chose various cakes, which were polished off to continuous "mmmm" sounds. There is an accessible toilet, although it may prove challenging to manoeuvre a wheelchair in and out due to the proximity of the counters. As we were leaving, Matt suggested we might try a Friday or Saturday evening next time. We all agreed Aroma Cafe and Kitchen was a gem of a find, and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

Had a really great meal here. The food was really lovely. We all enjoyed every course of our three course dinner. I especially enjoyed the fantastic fish pie but everything was really great. Friendly atmosphere but not too over the top. Would definitely recommend.

They’re so friendly and very welcoming and went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable evening. My favourite place to eat in hassocks!! We had a beautiful afternoon tea at Aroma for Mothers Day last Sunday. Each element of the tea was homemade in house and absolutely delicious. The items were a little bit different to what you would normally see in an afternoon tea… We particularly enjoyed the frittata and lemon posset. There was so much food we had to take some home. Lovely atmosphere with attentive friendly front of house staff. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

The cafe turns into a small bistro restaurant on Friday and Saturday evenings, and we tried it for the first time last night. Whilst the menu is not extensive there is still sufficient choice, including vegetarian options, and also a nice selection of wines too...

Went today with my family. I had a full grill. Fast service! They cooked us poached eggs instead of fried eggs for us which was kind. The coffee was excellent. The food was really superb. The mushrooms were really quite fantastic so good in fact we mentioned it as we ate. The sausages were high quality and eggs perfectly done. I really couldn't fault anything. The service was friendly and the owner was a really nice chap. Only suggestion is maybe some milkshakes for kids. All in all an exceptional and pretty cafe in a lovely area, fantastic food and friendly staff. Recommended!!!!

What a find, just what the Hassocks area has been needing for so long, a small, friendly, quality restaurant with attentive and knowledgeable staff serving great food. We had a table of six, three courses with wine and an enjoyable evening was had by all.
