Brilliant little stop over on the south downs way. Hadn't realized it was there the first time we walked past it, had brought and already eaten our own lunch, so just had a coffee and ice cream. Made the effort to retrace part of the walk more recently specifically to go back for lunch. Worth it.

Well the atmosphere here is really good along with food, coffee and service. This was such a nice place to stop as we explored the really old Saddlescombe Farm which is a National Trust farm. We enjoyed Wildflour Café before exploring the 16th century buildings and surrounding hills. Great way to spend a day.

Absolute gem of a place. We visited here for breakfast after camping overnight at Camilla & Rolys. The espresso was delicious and a slab of the bread pudding (which was a beast of a slice) was moist and full of flavour. It fueled me up for the miles ahead along the South Downs Way. The team were all smiley, and very accommodating. This place is a must visit if you are nearby!!

Had a lovely late breakfast here with a friend, stopping when we were cycling along the South Downs Way from Brighton to Upper Beeding. The food was a bit different from the normal breakfast fare (Falafel and poached eggs) and we really enjoyed it. Service is friendly and helpful and you can pay by card. The cafe has outside seating but some of it is under cover. It is also dog friendly. Off road parking is available nearby if you aren't walking or cycling. Well worth a visit.

The Wildflour Cafe is situated in a beautiful location on the South Downs and is a perfect stopping point if you are walking in the area. We were doing a circular walk from Devil’s Dyke and stopped here for lunch. We had salad bowls (vegetarian and vegan options) and a nice refreshing cold can of juice drink. There are some undercover tables, but as it was a nice day, we sat out in the garden area and it was very pleasant indeed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere very relaxing. Toilets are available nearby at the National Trust building. Well worth a visit!

The would be a very welcome sight to walkers on the South Downs Way. As it happens, we arrived there by car but it was still pleasing to find the cafe. It operates from a caravan adjacent to a historic barn on Saddlescombe Farm. It provides lovely filter coffee and cakes. Our shared orange cake was nice. We also enjoyed looking around at the historic farm, though access to the Donkey Wheel (used in the past for pumping drinking water from a deep well) was blocked by a large and deep boggy patch.

Very often, cafes in rural locations that have a monopoly over the hungry hikers in the area exploit this monopoly with fairly low quality generic food and disinterested staff. The Wildflour Cafe could not be more different! Amazing cakes (we tried the carrot cake and chocolate tiffin but heard rave reviews from others seated near us on other cakes!) and the food (an understandably limited range with maybe 6-8 items available) also looked fab. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is amazing- really interesting short exhibition on farm equipment and history near the cafe too!

There's a lot lots of seats and a covered area should it rain or shaded if the heat is beating down. On a cycle from London to Brighton this pit stop saved us for the last leg of our journey.
