The Cider Tap in Mid Sussex

Came here on the recommendation of others and really glad that we did. Great to see a local place that has genuine passion for what it does. The ciders were great, we tried a fair few between us (thanks designated driver) from fruity to traditional to the driest thing I've ever tasted - good to try new things. The pizzas were a real bonus - really tasty and a bit out of the ordinary too. We did have a bit of an issue with one aspect of service and I contacted the Cider Tap afterwards to try and resolve but never heard back. That did put a bit of a downer on things but overall, excellent drinks and spot-on pizza.

Brilliant! We saw the sign as we were driving along Cowfold Road, the best spur of the moment decision ever :-) Very tasty Wobblegate sparkling cider & the pizzas are just great. An hour from home, but will definitely go again... 1 cider down, 21 to go ;-)

Nice location to try out ciders made on site as well as varieties from other producers. Chose from a large selection to take away too- in reusable bottles.. Very friendly and expert advice. Tasty snacks / food also available.

What a hidden gem. This was recommended to us by a family friend, I’m now annoyed they have kept it a secret for so long. The setting is fantastic, the food was amazing, the choice of local on site produced ciders is mind blowing, and if that’s not enough they also sell locally sourced ciders from other producers. I have found a new hidden drinking hole, where I can embellish the life of cider drinking. Thank you and see you soon.

Called in for lunch unplanned, and had the street food flatbreads which were really good, and a luvly couple of pints! So nice to be back there - despite the rain!

This place is a hidden gem perfect for enjoying food and drink in the countryside and they brew there own sided aswell which is always a bonus for my husband who is a cider fan. Also dog friendly which is great there are some lovely walks around also. Staff are great food was great locally sourced always a bonus for me and great atmosphere found this place on route to a beach trip so glad I went

Visited a few times in the Summer (2019) and for Wassailing in Jan 2020. The setting is great - lovely outside space enclosed by picket fences. The pizza they have here is fantastic, we’ve also visited when they have a food truck visiting which was good - again, fab food and fun to try something different. Last but not least, the cider, not something I’ve drank in a long time but was pleasantly surprised. Eden cider is worth a try! Looking forward to spending more summers here.

I went there a while ago with friends for a couple of drinks and it was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was amazing!! Great for all ages

This was our first visit to the cafe and shop and we will be returning! Wonderful selection of beverages and they tasted incredible! The food was outstanding! Although just pizza the team has mastered the art of simplicity and rustic cooking to deliver a unique and wonderful experience.

Visit here back in the summer family. Simplicity is key with a place like this, no messing about. We enjoyed an array of chacutrie boards which were very much enjoyed by everyone, bottomless salad and bread refills which we felt was very generous. The cider also was very good, highly enjoyed the mango and passion fruit. Will definitely be returning again for a tipsy lunch and definitely need to try the pizzas on offer in the evenings!

Best beer garden and cutest little place. I love the atmosphere it’s always so friendly! Best place in the summer, haven’t been in the winter but would love to try it still after a walk through the woods :)

We have been here several times over the past few months and adore it. Funnily enough we aren't cider fans, but my husband loves their ale and their white wine is fantastic. The pizza is great value and fresh, really tasty. They have a big chest full of games for our Little one who also loves the beautiful garden here. A must visit.

Visited with my family. Great countryside location , staff very friendly. Cider really good and was a great compliment to the cheese board .

Visited The Cider Tap to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The bar is located in a beautiful location overlooking glorious countryside. No passing traffic to worry about with children or dogs. Amazing home ciders to try ( the actual brewery is right next door) I especially recommend the rhubarb cider and they also have other beers from small brewers to try. For those driving, their apple juice is gorgeous . We ate their stone baked pizzas which were delicious. There is a totally laid back vibe going on here and the guys working there obviously know a lot about their product and are passionate about it. So, if you are looking for a place to eat and drink , where your children can run safely in the overlooking field, this is the place to visit

A great range of craft ciders. Knowledgable staff help you to select your cider of choice. Lovely location. Great ciders, great evening. Enjoyed the apple sorbet too.
