Popped in for a pint after watching a match featuring the local team. Friendly and welcoming staff and punters with a good range of beer. Several televisions on showing different sports. A proper local pub for local people but worth a visit.
We recently held our wedding reception at The View at Seaford Head. The venue was superb throughout the whole planning process, with special thanks to Paula who looked after our every request. The venue looked fantastic, especially when combined with the stunning views which made it the perfect location. The food was outstanding, the bar staff were super helpful and the whole evening was faultless. We would highly recommend The View at Seaford Head for any functions or events.
Lovely old pub , good range of table sizes. Menu is original and there is a specials board. All food was tasty with generous portions. Service was friendly but had a little too long wait for the food. Be aware dogs are allowed in the pub so you could have a dog next to you! The hake dish was excellent. Enjoyed our visit.
The food here is always very tasty but the service was a let down today. I appreciate it’s Good Friday and probably very busy before we came in. The tables had not been cleared, my food came first, the hot drinks 15 minutes later and we then had to remind them that we were waiting for more food…. Cutlery boxes were empty, no glasses by the water tap and the toilets were dirty with a lot of “old” dirt around the back of the toilet seat. Not impressed today sadly.
Stunning venue in the centre of the historic town Lewes! I was so fortunate to be able to photograph Fran & Pj's wedding at Pelham House and I loved every minute. The outdoor ceremony area is lovely and seculed and the rooms within the hotel are perfect for photography with lots of natural light. I really hope I can return back to Pelham House soon to capture another wedding.
Collection or delivery only. No dining in.
I tried the 'new' Beef Satkora. Had to google what it is cos no explanation on the menu/website. Citrussy apparently. Doesn't really work IMHO.
My favourite Keema Naan was undercooked and not very nice.
Now it's no longer a restaurant I got the impression that it is slowly degenerating into squalor. Scaffold has been up for what seems like years. Shame really.
It has a 4 star food hygiene rating which is good.
We had our wedding reception upstairs at the John Harvey. Anton made the whole process very easy to organise. We decorated their function room which looked great. They provided a 3 course meal and everyone loved the food. The staff at the John Harvey were very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Unfortunately a drug haven, corridors full of weed smoke constantly. Had young kids with us. For a hotel chain which says it’s family friendly, it obviously isn’t. I will stay away from premier inns altogether from now on as their standards are far below what they advertise. Room was not hoovered properly, mould on ceiling and bathroom, cups in room with dirty rings on them.

First time I came here, the hot and spicy burger was really good, come again today and got a burger box with fries, unfortunately it was very bland , I was disappointed for ÂŁ11 , probably won't go back again. But service is very quick, on the plus side.
