The best restaurants serving Default food in East Cowes Isle of Wight South East

Just a 5 minute drive from the ferry. Very nice food and good service. Would recommend Bettys Brekkie. Fairly reasonably priced.

I regularly go to the artisan and am always greeted warmly, the coffee alone is worth the visit but the food is excellent as well. It is always busy and the staff are always friendly as are the customers.

Wonderful food and excellent service. Cosy atmosphere. We've been to the Island many times but never found this little gem... we will be back!

Stumbled on this restaurant and what a pleasure. Had bacon baguettes both of us and they were fully loaded with bacon. Baguettes were really, really fresh and topped off with a brilliant cup of tea. Although getting ready to close they did not rush us. Very pleasant and the owners have a good sense of humour. Holidaying in East Cowes and will surely be back.

We had an amazing time, celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. The 5 courses were all beautifully presented and each one was explained to us in detail by the very attentive waiter. One course was not to our liking (raw fish, sushi style) but that's just down to our personal taste. The other 4 courses went down very well! We just had one flight of 5 wines between us, again explained in detail by a knowledgeable young sommelier, and all very palatable. The head chef came out to us to explain the final course - an incredible sticky, caramelised, apple tart, served with Isle of Wight blue cheese - a great combination. Just one niggle - I advised in advance that my husband couldn't eat salmon. However, the chef didn't get the memo (!) and 2 courses included small salmon additions that should have been omitted/substituted with something else. The chef did apologise to us at the end. A superb evening. We'll be back!

Reasonable prices and a lovely choice of snacks and drinks but better in the fine weather as the majority of seating is outside. The shortbread is to die for!

Waste of money, very poor quality food. Nicer Indian meals come prepacked at supermarkets!

Wouldn't recommend this place no more! Ordered a Large Build a Box meal to which over 40 minutes later got a call saying "We have run out of Garlic Mushrooms, we can throw in extra nuggets" I thought fair enough 32 nuggets it is then, to only receive 24 nuggets but paid for 32, also they charged me £0.10 for a carrier bag I never received! OK its only 10p, but still don't charge if you're not gonna give me one. Also took well over an hour & half to deliver on a quite night to which most was cold. Used to enjoy ordering food from this place, but being charged for a bag I never got & also not receiving my Full order is a shame. Probably the new owners if I'm honest. Edit - Totally appreciate the offer but I'm not that bothered about a few quid at this time, it's just at the time my misses has the Garlic Mushrooms, I have the chicken nuggets so we were kind of short and that night we were both dying of hunger and she dont really like the kebab meat or chips so her dinner was kind off ruined! I also get the charging for a carrier bag law, but if you're not gonna provide me with one I shouldn't be charged. You need to update your system in that respect as no other takeaway I know of charges for bags, let alone charges and does not provide them. I am thankful for the fast response and didn't want to write a review, but it is a bit silly how these simple mistakes are being made in such a small community and with me wanting to support local business, that kind of stuff puts me right off!

worst doner kebab I've ever had, I ordered doner kebab, and a separate portion of chips come to £11 which I thought was quite expensive considering the chips were in a tiny packet and virtually inedible absolutely rock hard I couldn't physically break them down in my mouth and the kebab was all dumped in a tray with my mayo and they put the pita bread on the outside to build my own bloody kebab, so as you can guess got mayo and crap all over my fingers, the pita was also stale and hard.The meat just did not taste right really greasy think I left 3/4 of this, avoid like the plague I wish I'd read the reviews before I went in there first chip shop ever in my life that I've not been able to chew the chips as they were so hard.

We had an absolutely fabulous Sunday roast here. It was their first one since taking over the pub. I had beef.... SIX slices!! A giant yorkshire pudding, roast & boiled potatoes, carrots, parsnips, stuffing. My partner had roast pork belly which was delicious (with same veg selection). The staff are really friendly and efficient and the owner, Sam, is totally committed to making this pub a "go too" place. There is live music here also. The atmosphere here is really good. I would definitely recommend a visit to this pub - I don't think you'll be disappointed.
