The best restaurants serving Default food in Town Gosport South East

We had an amazing night celebrating my Dad’s birthday on New Years Eve. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful and the service impeccable… we were a table of 18 and we were so well looked after even though the restaurant was full…. Thank you for making my Dads birthday so special for all of us and hope to see you soon!

Well I turned up half an hour before its advertised closing time to the evident annoyance of the staff. Tried ignoring me and when that didnt work reluctantly served me and forced me to listen to a rant about how they were just about to close. The finale to this performance was deliberately putting the cup of coffee as far away as possible on the counter. My tip if you want to close early shut the door and put up a closed sign. Absolute height of rudeness. The coffee was ok

Lunch was delicious. The chicken and bacon baguette was more than enough for a bite to eat. My husband enjoyed the fish finger sandwich. The chips were crispy and fluffy on the inside, perfect. Service was friendly and in a relaxed environment steeped in history.

Always enjoy the food and atmosphere in here, food is good and price is reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I had to wait for over an hour and a half for an order I could have walked and picked up myself. delievery driver didn't speak English so when i tried asking why so long he said I come quick and walked away from me. the wraps are cold and not hot because of this. I'm really not happy with the order this time! disappointed! I would like to be compensated for the drivers rudeness and my food being cold!

It was OK but not in my top 5 I think they have cut back on there spice as it was a bit bland

Moved to Gosport a couple of months ago, and decided to do an off the cuff Sunday afternoon visit to The Creek with my 16 year old daughter. A lovely welcome, a few bits not available as they had been busy. I had the beef roast and my daughter had the burger - both really nice meals. I will be back. I also thought it would just be a nice place to go for a beer and look out over the marina.

Quiet couple times I've been in there but that was early doors the one time it was busy the new landlady looked very much up to the job in control and doing an excellent job

Popped into the pub with 2 friends on a Sunday after a long walk. Pub very busy and found an empty table beside 3 other people. Landlady Verity came over, told us that the table we were at was part of the other table and we had to move to the bar. She then picked up our bottle and ice bucket and took it over to the other side of the bar. there was only one stool. This was such a shame and put a dampener on our lovely day. on the way out i went over to the table and apologised to the people sat there who then apologised and expressed their surprise that we had been ask to move. I have never been treated like this in any pub before and feel very sad at the dreadful service we received. I will certainly not be going in this pub again

My second visit to The Lightship and it was just as fabulous as the first time. It's such a unique dining experience and as you step onto the old ship the space is really well thought out, the interior design is beautiful. We enjoyed Duck Bon Bons, Feta Parcels, Pork and Rib Eye followed by Espresso Martinis and dessert. Service was attentive and friendly, thankfully we were blessed with a beautiful evening to sit on deck too. Can't wait to go back again next summer.

5.30 on a Saturday and website is not accepting orders. Phoned no answer. Surely can’t be that busy. Unusual as we always order from here

Only reopened a few days before our visit so hoped all would be good and new. Decor is good, unfortunately breakfast was poor. Toast well over cooked and black, couldn't complain as they were near out of bread and we had to argue to get a bacon sandwich for our son as they had decided to only serve toast only with breakfasts. Bacon was overcooked, plate was cold as per usual meaning within seconds of plating up the beans are cold and it just sucks the warmth from the food. Can't be that hard to serve on a warmed plate. Can't say I'd return. Had a spoons breakfast in Eastleigh couple of weeks ago and it was 10 times hotter and 10 times better cooked.
