This tea van in located in a layby in Portsmouth Road Cobham. It is a good stop off point for a hot beverage and snack. Food was fine and met the hygiene regulations.
I was debating whether to give this 4 or 5 stars as it wasn't perfect and, on reflection, i thought i'd give it 4 stars as there were just a few too many minor issues. They were minor and maybe i'm being a bit harsh but let me explain.
The issues were that we ordered two different types of beers and both barrels were empty so not a great start having to wait for our drinks - an unfortunate co-incidence to be fair. Small gripe no. 2 (and maybe helpful feedback for the kitchen), we ordered pate as a starter and it came as a slab of pate and some pieces of white toast. When ordered elsewhere before, the pate normally comes in a pot with some garnish and the bread is either wholemeal, brioche or sourdough, not plain white bread - a tad disappointing. Finally, the bill - was quite surprised it came to £70 each - for starter, main and a couple of drinks. I would have expected £50 but didn't perhaps realise it was so expensive.
I feel bad writing the paragraph above as we had a lovely evening and the food was generally very good. Their signature souffles were amazing and the meat was very tender. The atmosphere was calm and the service very good. I would most definitely come again but perhaps realise it's a bit more pricey that expected and avoid the pate starter!!
Staff are very welcoming with modern comfortable surroundings. The food is full of flavour and so delicious I left feeling very full as I couldn’t put my fork down!

Food was amazing, prices a little high but excellent quality. Queues get very long at busy times and you can be waiting a while. Same for finding a table at busy times, it can be difficult.
Child friendly. Clean. Tidy. Staff are professional and polite.
Big car park available.
Bit rough on Saturday. A customers dog, not on a lead, attacked another dog. Then a man pushing a woman in a wheelchair rammed the wheelchair through a tiny gap instead of finding a wider gap. He just kept smashing through. Woman seemed used to it. I, however, was not used to having my seat and table ploughed violently into. We won't be returning. The pub tvs indoors were on full blast with absolutely nobody watching 👀. It felt like an assault course experience. Some staff ok.

Lovely clean hotel.Lovely receptionist Denise welcomed us in and nothing was to much trouble. My Dad travelled with us and we asked for an accessible room which was provided and just what he needed. Cannot fault it.
We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere & service was really good. The curries were not oily. The cauliflower manchurian & meat dishes were really good & not very hot. I will visit again. ☺️

Nice place to meet for quick catch-up with friends.
excellent coffee. Food is a bit over priced. Overlooks Hersham green (across road) outdoor tables and chairs - gets the afternoon and evening sun.
Staff are very pleasant if a little harassed. We are upset they start cordoning off areas and cleaning floors sometimes and hour and half before closing time (which has also moved from 6 pm to 5.30pm). This spoils the atmosphere and feels a bit rude.

Won't be back found out from doctor why I've been sick for a week salmonella poisoning the only thing I have in common eating with my Nan is Morley's chicken she only had a few bits so wasn't to bad
i wouldn’t recommend. while the food wasn’t bad, the waiter, upon being told that i was a vegetarian and would want a separate plate to the rest of my party, went on a ten minute tangent about how i don’t ‘fit the profile’ of a vegetarian. this is because ‘vegetarians are usually slim, and you are not’. he then went on to reiterate this a few more times in different ways, laughing despite the rest of our table was silent.
as somebody who has suffered with multiple mental illnesses, including bulimia and body dysmorphia, this really made the rest of the meal very difficult to enjoy. i know i cannot expect the waiter to know my medical history, but that is the exact reason you do not say things like this. my father in law’s birthday meal, which he paid a lot of money for, was then clouded with an air of awkwardness that continued throughout the entirety of the meal.
