Costa Coffee in Elmbridge

A large branch with lots of seating and tables. A good mix of customers present: mothers seated with their young children, friends and a good number of retirees present as well. Internet connection somewhat transient however.

Slow queue. A plug in the corner isn't working as of December 2023 (wasn't working in November either). If really like it if they checked and repaired their plugs. Friendly staff, though, and they keep it warm and comfortable!

Absolutely love Datchet branch. Manager first class person, very friendly & nothing too much trouble. Quiet ambience, low chat levels no music playing in background - great. so not competing. welcoming staff. we tend to go on a Sunday for a ride out and treat.

The staff was very unkind, I asked to have the bread which was obviously the sweets in the showcase, but said, this is not available, how come the bread not available is still kept in the showcase ? The staff served the person behind me who is ordering while watching smartphone, he asked to have same bread, then served him very carely asking if he needs paper towel or not, very sad, I never visit again here, bad staffs, discrimination, no respect. I realized there are a lot of bad reviews.

I am a loyal costumer for costa. However, some of the staff required a few more hospitality trainings, and learn to how to handle in certain/some situations, and how fast or pro-active he/she needs to be when working in a busy environment for both physically and mentally. Therefore, Drinks are great but some need a few practices, not all staff make good drinks. The place is big & wide, plenty of space, but staff are lazy, moody, and unable remain cleanliness.

The staff could definitely use some basic hospitality training Could smile and pretend to like the job they're in. Not cheap beverages so shouldn't be cheap. Experience is getting worse over time

Staff are friendly and food and drinks are great. The toilet when i was there was unflushed and smelt terrible

Be warned! Check your bill at this Costa (Hersham). I have been charged full price for sandwiches that were marked 50% off and for the drinks instead of 3.80 each (price on the board) ive been charged 4 pounds each. When pointing out the mistake, staff was rude, lifting eyebrows and rolling eyes. Also ive had better drinks at other Costa's, this ones were very sweet and thats about it, not much flavor.

I have been coming to this Costa now for more than 5 years and usually 5+ times every week. I always recommend it to friends and as a meeting place. The coffee and other offerings are always reliable. ALL the staff are friendly, efficient, and work extremely hard. Special shout out to FREDDIE who has been working there since the start of 2022. This young gentleman always has a welcoming smile, outgoing and friendly demeanour, and very anxious to please all his customers.

Staff pleasant, but at least 8 tables neaded cleaning. Floor a mess. 3 staff on. No one at counter, but not clearing up.

Rude only fill the cups 3/4 of the way over priced .went to cafe next store perfect nice people and service and cheaper by 55p a cup of coffee and they give you a LARGE CUP COSTA JUST MEDIUM

It's an OK shop, lots of space, sometimes the que is long but the coffee is good and the waitresses and waiters are polite. A wide range of people come here and there is outdoor seating.

As usual, great coffee. Atmosphere is a bit cold though

Great food, lovely surroundings. Would personally have preferred the screens to be between the tables instead of against the walls but I'm appreciative that the staff were still wearing masks.

Store nice and clean the store is clearly COVID-19 compliant. However 3 staff on duty 1 on till 2 making coffee but it still took over 20 minutes to go from the entrance to the till point to place order and with 2 metre spaces between customers means there was only 3 customers in front of me EXTREMELY SLOW this morning

One of the best branches of Costa around - always lovely friendly staff and consistently good drinks. When it's open for drink-in, it has a nice atmosphere and plenty of space around tables, so it's ideal if you need somewhere to relax!

Always a good choice and good products within the store. However no member of staff present when I entered the store and waited 2minutes before served. No offer of condiments and none present to help myself. No hand gel present in the store.

Prices drinks and polite helpful staff

Nice coffee as always at Costas...but this branch can get really noisy with unruly kids/mother's, so best avoided at school turnout! Pleasant staff, but they start cleaning/cordoning off large areas at 4pm (don't close til 6!!) with much earsplitting scraping of chairs being dragged rather than lifted to tidy up. This is upsetting and really annoying if you meet up with friends for coffee/tea and a chat anytime after 4pm. Be warned!

Very disappointing. Coffee was not their usual standard. Requested a large capuccino got a very weak not quite hot diluted milky coffee water. Was a shame. Three stars...couldn't give one star as this is by far my favourite Costa. I don't know what happened there. My favorite Costa because the staff are lovely, their coffee is usually consistent and the cafe is clean.

Nice coffee, Shame about the filthy surroundings . The last 2 times we’ve been surrounded by uncleared tables and rubbish all over the floor . The staff seem to be not bothered at all about clearing up and making it clean for thier customers .

Standard Costa fare, service OK. I was irritated that the person before me in the queue took the last of every variety of Danish pastry - I'd have hoped that the store would have sufficient supply to not run out at 10am!! Quite busy for Fri morning but plenty of seating, including outside roadside tables (if you don't mind cigarette smoke)

It's great to have good coffee in Hersham. Sometimes they struggle with queues but most of the time this is a good place for coffee.
