Whilst out walking around Basingstoke, we stopped here for a quick beer and sat outside in the sunshine. Barmaid was pleasant enough and the beer was good and very reasonably priced. Cannot really comment on much else because it was just a quick stop for one beer.

A big shout out to the chef… I have eaten here a few times (and the food is usually pretty good) and usually have the tower stack (choice of 3 plates) today it was outstanding!! The flavour, the taste, the presentation… everything!! Thanks sooo much!!

A Culinary Crime Scene: The Tragic Demise of Lunch Pizza - clearly an ‘oven ready’ reheat as zero customisation can be made. Only made better by the complete lack of culinary skills of the not-yet trained work experience who has been asked to dump half a pot of dried mixed Italian herbs on top. The near tasteless confusion from someone who couldn’t quite decide if the base should be Neapolitan, American deep pan, or some kind of three year olds attempt at ‘artisanal’ bakery leaves a poor base that can’t make up its mind what it should be, creating a confusion between a bath sponge and supermarket focaccia at best, a sauce that will win no awards and some tasteless cheese layer. The cheese may have had taste, however the near sandpaper like quality introduced by the carpet of dried herbs perhaps hid any subtleties of flavour there. Backup onion rings, a staple of pub food. They weren’t quite so offensive, seriously lacking in any taste though. It’s fantastic for them not to be layered in so much salt that your blood pressure rises just thinking about them, but the complete and utter lack of any subtly here means they are a vehicle for a dip only. “Bucket of nachos” is a generous term for the pile of misery that arrived at the table. A soggy graveyard of once-crispy chips, now drowned beneath a sludge that may have once aspired to be cheese but gave up somewhere along the way.

Great American style burgers! Food was delicious, just set appropriate expectations. The burgers definitely seemed of the frozen variety BUT don’t let that put you off. The toppings, bun etc all made for a really tasty meal, and whilst the ingredients may not be ‘fresh’ it was all freshly prepared. Great onion rings too! Decor a little off for a burger joint (fancy neon and floral displays) but it was clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and welcoming, just a little hovering when we were the only diners to begin with. Definitely recommend if you’re in town for a delicious burger.

Called in for breakfast . I have visited before and found it quite nice although some of the staff can be a little curt. This time i was met with a miserable man with glasses , bellowing out orders. He handed me my order and proceeded with a very backward stereotype, a racial "joke". I don't expect to be racially abused when i am spending my hard earned money in your cafe. After his bigoted quip, he scurried off very quickly. I am glad he did as it was likely he d have had his glasses smacked off his head. Cheeky boy trying to belittle people when he's serving coffees for a living. I wont be back near the establishment as I don't support bigots.

The food is cold. Gravy not heated up. Cold Yorkshire pudding; 5 tiny pieces of dried out chicken; overcooked veg. All very unpleasant. Phoned to complain. Very unprofessional. Blamed the driver who, according to the app, took around 3 minutes to reach us from the kitchen. Staff couldn’t care less. Made school dinners look brilliant. Very disappointed
