The best restaurants serving Default food in Long Crendon Aylesbury Vale South East

We had our mum's passing celebration of her life with all her family and friends. It was an amazing afternoon the sun was shining for us .... Thanks to Sharon and her brilliant team they made a very special celebration just perfect for what our mum would have wanted...... The food !! You couldn't ask for better,nothing was too much trouble for them. We used the outdoor gazebo as well as the pub absolutely perfect .... Sharon thank you so so much.... Couldn't possibly ask for for anymore perfect.....

We don’t come often enough. We have been coming over many years and the quality of food is exceptional. This, coupled with friendly service in a lovely setting make this restaurant a MUST if you are in the area

The farm shop has now turned into a café, which was a lovely opportunity to go for breakfast. They have good choice on the menu, which was great. I think we did catch it on a slightly bad day, where there was a loud group in there, and the indoor seating is incredibly echoey, so it was just noisy. Appreciate it is a small business, so acoustic panels etc are not considered as much when designing the space. But my husband and I couldn’t really hear each other talk, despite being sat at the opposite and of the café to the group. My food was very nice! Although my husbands toast was completely black underneath, and had been turned over to hide this which wasn’t great. Given that it was just us and one group in there, it’s not as though they were rushed off their feet, to not be able to redo the toast. The coffee was good, and came in very trendy mugs… However, the mugs are far too small, given the price of the coffee! It didn’t seem like fair market value, even for a small business café. My hot chocolate also came in a small mug. That was quite frustrating. The service was nice, so that was really positive! The toilets were unfortunately a bit too rustic as they were full of spiders and a bit dirty. They had put a nice fragrance in there, but I’d rather it was just clean! Appreciate that spiders can get into places, but this just hadn’t been cleaned up in awhile as there were webs everywhere So a bit of a mixed experience all round. We would go back, but going to leave it for quite awhile in the hopes that some of these issues are addressed in the future An expensive visit for what we got

Great village pub, lovely surroundings. The selection of beers is more than enough, and the food is delicious.

Fabulous fish and chips, lovely batter, chips not soggy or greasy. Absolutely delicious, highly recommended.

Quite a pleasant pub and restaurant with an attractive menu, also with accommodation. Never really happy when service is added to the bill.

Went on a Tuesday evening for the banquet and it was amazing! Restaurant was full, food and service excellent and great value for money. Staff were friendly and efficient and we will definitely be returning to this little gem.

Had a take away and wasn't impressed. Went a few days ago with friends thinking eating in would be fresher than eating out of plastic tubs. Shared a vegetarian platter with my wife. Thought it was a bit flavourless. Ordered the Chicken in a sweet and sour sauce. Thought the sauce was very watery and the chicken tasted off,the pinapple also lack flavour. Didn't eat any of it. Very disappointed and won't be going back anytime soon. It's a shame as it's very local and convenient. Staff are friendly but food let's it down Didn't say anything on the day. But I'm saying it now. I have seen one similar review to this and I believe that to be correct too. They need to up their game.

Our friends recently moved to Ickford and this place is an absolute gem. We arrived before our friends and whilst we were complete strangers to the staff there, a lady showed us to our table and couldn't have been more friendly. It's refreshing to have such good levels of service, it felt genuine, not forced and you having a good experience was their #1 priority. I had the Ribeye and it was up there in terms of one of the best steaks I've had. There's a real local community feel to this place and I wish we had this on our doorstep.

This is the 3rd time we have been here. Really disappointed. The service is so rushed. My husband had bearly sat down when asked what we would like to drink!! Large table behind us so noisey and language choice - we had our grandchildren with us!! Food was good but as on previous occasions service too rushed so won't be returning.

We had a really super family meal here (7 of us in all with 3 vegetarians). Fabulous pizzas, delicious vegetarian risotto and very tasty burgers - and great that you can order a half-portion if you're not quite as hungry. Good selection of ales including some from the local XT brewery. Very friendly service too. A great local pub with very good food.

A gorgeous gem of a place! Stayed here for one night and ate at the restaurant in the evening. Our room was cosy, warm, clean and we had a great nights sleep. We also had a lovely breakfast in the morning. All four of us throughly enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant, especially the pork belly. The staff are so friendly and nothing was too much. I can’t wait to return to this charming place in the future.
