Had a take away and wasn't impressed. Went a few days ago with friends thinking eating in would be fresher than eating out of plastic tubs. Shared a vegetarian platter with my wife. Thought it was a bit flavourless. Ordered the Chicken in a sweet and sour sauce. Thought the sauce was very watery and the chicken tasted off,the pinapple also lack flavour. Didn't eat any of it. Very disappointed and won't be going back anytime soon. It's a shame as it's very local and convenient. Staff are friendly but food let's it down Didn't say anything on the day. But I'm saying it now. I have seen one similar review to this and I believe that to be correct too. They need to up their game.

Excellent food and very efficient service. We were a group of 4 and had a wonderful dinner. We had the seafood sharing starter and chicken satay for starters. We then had the curry dishes with steamed rice, all delicious with different flavours.

A very cosy restaurant as part of the Churchill Arms pub. The Thai menu is comprehensive and has lots of choice for veggies and vegans. The food is top quality and I’m really looking forward to trying more of the menu during more visits to the restaurant or through the option of takeaway meals. My recommendation so far is definitely the Salt and Pepper Squid starter, which is the best I have ever had and I can’t stop talking about it to anyone who would listen. The Pa-Nang Curry was also amazing. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant.

We found the Fat Buddha when we moved to the area and were a bit unsure about a Thai restaurant inside a pub. I’m glad we tried it anyway because we were so impressed by how quiet and peaceful the atmosphere was. It felt like you could really relax and hold a conversation. Then there was the food! Delicious. The Thai green curry and the pad Thai were really excellent - absolutely one of the best we’ve had. Since then we’ve ordered both dishes for takeaway a number of times and have never been disappointed. The only problem is that we liked them so much that we haven’t tried anything else yet! (Oh, except some spring rolls to start - those were also fantastic!) We cannot recommend highly enough!

Excellent food. Best I've tasted outside of Thailand. Would definitely go again. Good portion sizes. Well priced.

Starters were okay, steer clear the ribs as they are coloured but tasteless… watery sauce very disappointing. Came the mains and watery again… expensive sizzling steak certainly didn’t sizzle, tasted and smelt off!! Duck dish contained little breast meat, and in a watery sauce… this is NOT cooked fresh here… Thai microwave main meals for sure.

We visited this restaurant for dinner and I was blown away. The venue is gorgeous, the staff were exceptional and the food……. It’s my new favourite! Absolutely delicious. I had a chicken Massaman curry with prawn and pineapple rice. Three weeks later, it’s all I want. I can’t stop thinking about it and I even made it at home and even though I say it myself, I did a pretty good job! I would go back there any day of the week. Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommended!

We have had two takeaways from here and each time it was absolutely banging.. everything so well cooked, fresh, fragrant and delicious! These guys know what they are doing. We are so happy that we have finally found a decent take away in the Thame area, the quality here is miles higher than other food establishments in the area! Can’t wait until the end of lock down so we can experience eating in. Lady on the phone and take away man also really friendly. Good work guys!! We will be back!!

We were in Long Crendon unexpectedly and decided to find somewhere for lunch. The Churchill Arms had a Fat Buddha Thai restaurant and we decided to try it. We were very pleasantly surprised with the food, service and price. The massaman curry was excellent.

This time I went to Rumsey's with just my wife although I have been several times with other members of my family since I make a point of going every time we visit my son in Tring because I love the place so much. I haven't tasted such delicious drinking chocolate anywhere. It is always so rich and velvety. I adore the stuff and, I think, could very easily get addicted to it! In addition to the actual drink they give you a very delicious little biscuit to accompany it. Every time we go, we buy some to make up at home and I can tell you it doesn't last for long - well not long enough anyway. The café itself is not very big but there are tables outside if the weather is good. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and they also sell very tempting cakes and chocolates and some savouries. Parking in Wendover is very easy and the town centre is worth a visit in its own right. I urge you to go.

First visit. I love pies and had wanted to visit this pub for ages. I would love to have given more stars but was so disappointed that even though it was early evening my choice of pies were out of stock. Only about 6 pies available from a wonderful menu. For starter we had the vegetable soup and prawn cocktail - both very good. My husband had the fillet steak for his main course which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had my fourth pie choice option Chicken and Mushroom Pie. Unfortunately I felt the pie was overbaked as the top pastry was extremely hard and I could not cut through it or eat it. The chicken and sauce was delicious but could not see much evidence of mushroom. The vegetables and chips were cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic. The place itself looked as though it needed updating but definitely had character. The pub car park was a nightmare getting in and out. It did not help that someone had parked in the Exit so we had to leave by the Entrance! Would give it another try in the future.
