Quite a pleasant pub and restaurant with an attractive menu, also with accommodation. Never really happy when service is added to the bill.

Just returned from Sunday lunch at The Rising Sun having not been there for years. Wow! Amazing food, perfectly cooked and fantastically presented. The very best of a British village with a good sized enclosed garden. Well worth a visit.

We had a really super family meal here (7 of us in all with 3 vegetarians). Fabulous pizzas, delicious vegetarian risotto and very tasty burgers - and great that you can order a half-portion if you're not quite as hungry. Good selection of ales including some from the local XT brewery. Very friendly service too. A great local pub with very good food.
