The farm shop has now turned into a café, which was a lovely opportunity to go for breakfast. They have good choice on the menu, which was great. I think we did catch it on a slightly bad day, where there was a loud group in there, and the indoor seating is incredibly echoey, so it was just noisy. Appreciate it is a small business, so acoustic panels etc are not considered as much when designing the space. But my husband and I couldn’t really hear each other talk, despite being sat at the opposite and of the café to the group. My food was very nice! Although my husbands toast was completely black underneath, and had been turned over to hide this which wasn’t great. Given that it was just us and one group in there, it’s not as though they were rushed off their feet, to not be able to redo the toast. The coffee was good, and came in very trendy mugs… However, the mugs are far too small, given the price of the coffee! It didn’t seem like fair market value, even for a small business café. My hot chocolate also came in a small mug. That was quite frustrating. The service was nice, so that was really positive! The toilets were unfortunately a bit too rustic as they were full of spiders and a bit dirty. They had put a nice fragrance in there, but I’d rather it was just clean! Appreciate that spiders can get into places, but this just hadn’t been cleaned up in awhile as there were webs everywhere So a bit of a mixed experience all round. We would go back, but going to leave it for quite awhile in the hopes that some of these issues are addressed in the future An expensive visit for what we got

Lovely little cafe, seemingly converted from stables, with a great outside space and good food offerings.

A dreamy little café serving delicious food and sweet treats with a range of hot/cold drinks. Though not a coffee fan myself I can appreciate the hard work that's gone in to creating this business! I went for the rose chai tea and french toast; well presented and SO scrumptious. I visited with a group of friends and we cannot wait to come back for more, especially when the food looks and tastes this good 😍😍

My second visit to Base did not disappoint 😍 i haven’t been since they changed up the menu and just wow. They did me an adults portion of scrambled egg on toast and I added some halloumi and tomatoes and it was delicious. Followed by a raspberry lemonade. The staff were friendly, food and drinks came quickly and the surroundings are stunning. Can’t wait to come back and try the American style pancakes next. Thanks so much!

Best Costa ever. Excellent baristas. Emily heard me say that I couldn’t access data and handed me the WiFi code. Gabriel checked everything for my gluten allergy and Emily made it so carefully. I’ve never had service like it anywhere. Thanks guys. Great job. Made our day.

I had the pleasure of being part of the Ladies Golf Academy last year, and it was such a fantastic experience! Kiel was a patient coach, taking the time to explain things clearly and offering helpful, constructive feedback. His coaching was not only informative but also delivered in a way that kept the sessions fun and engaging for everyone. One of the little things I learned (that I surprisingly never knew!) was which hand you wear the golf glove on, turns out, it’s the opposite of your dominant hand. Just one of the many small but valuable tips I picked up along the way. The atmosphere was always welcoming and supportive, and it made learning feel like a treat rather than a task. Highly recommend it to anyone curious about golf or looking to improve their game in a relaxed and friendly setting!

Very nice pub. Friendly staff, nice food and dog friendly. There's space outside for sunny days and a warm fireplace inside for chilled days.
